This is great therapy for him to be honest! You created a space where he felt heard and showed such empathy. More ppl need someone like you in their lives.

Congrats! It's different for everyone. Addiction is closely linked to mental health and illness in some. For others, it can be genetics. For me I needed a concurrent science based program that worked on my mental illness and my addiction. There's not many of these programs where I am.
Typical programs fail most, I don't like AA, but it works for a small amount of people, so we need to have it for those people.

I was also thinking how wholesome and pure they are together. She's wearing sunglasses cuz he is, he wears a headband to match hers, like something we'd do while young with our best friends. It's very nice to see this side of Bam. The stuff they're talking about is not wholesome or sweet, but their bond is heartwarming. I hope they remain friends for the rest of their lives.

@Bill Williams one of my kids is an addict and the hardest thing I had to accept is that I can't fix him. I can't ductape him to a chair until he promises to stay sober ( did try) I can't have hin arrested or committed. I can't make him do anything bc if I could he would not be an addict

...my suggestion:
focus on what is missing / needed / should be prioritized as: needs to be "reevaluated" through the perspective of just what you're child find important, in that aspect, NOT YOURSELF (especially of things you can't now change, anyway.)

Today it was in our news that Bam is currently on a 5150 hold in a psychiatric hospital and I was really worried! It is very sad that he was already warning that he felt hunted.

Bam lives in a bubble it seems, he doesn’t know half of his own story , I think he truly is intoxicated 90% of the time based on his lack of intuition and awareness. But it was good to see him sound sober on this episode.
I hope the 5150 turns into a positive for once but his family needs to stop. He needs to make these decisions on his own and for himself.

OMG I just binged the whole series and watching Bam go off on angry rants while waving the puffy pink pom pom around has my stomach muscles hurting from laughing.
The more he gets 51/50’d the worse a pending custody agreement is going to be.
I met Bam not too long ago in LA at the airport and what’s weird is he was totally coherent and seemed totally sober. Stopped and took a picture with me and was very nice. I was actually pretty happy to see him because he did not look bad like he does now and it was less than three months ago.
I feel so badly for Bam, mostly because of Phoenix. Once you take a man's son, he's got nothing left to lose.

Family and friends are supposed to be supportive. Not controlling and manipulative, after 2 years in treatment centers they were trying to put him back in. That comfortable life they've had for the past 2 decades is from Bams money.
I have a lot of empathy for Bam but let’s not forget no one took his son, he lost custody due to his drug/alcohol abuse. As we can all see, Bam is still using. Personally if I was in his shoes I might have chosen to get sober the first day I lost custody so I could have a chance to fight the custody battle.
I see this, I can hear Bam’s truth and pain, and so much trauma. Talking about everything was clearly putting him in a heightened state and I am glad he could sense this and knew he needed to step away! It wasn’t you, you are kind and empathetic. It’s so messed up, all the people around him need to see the vulnerable open honest person he is and not the person that they judge for the history of addictions. He wears his heart openly and I love him for this, and want to protect him too from all the unnecessary drama that keeps piling on. Be well Bam and stay true to yourself, and grow in your own power!
I understand both ways too, this isn’t the way to go about getting him sober.. and also the money is a driving factor behind most of their actions..

Bam still sees the good in his friends and family even though they have behaved so dishonest, manipulative and greedy towards him. I hope that he learns who he can trust and how much he can trust them. He needs to learn to trust himself MORE.

He doesn't want to have a seizure that's why he drinks during the interviews. Poor guy must be so frustrating living his life st the moment. He just needs to step back get his finance back under his control and sue the crap out of everyone. Family court to get access to his son, his mom and brother for defamation, Lema for mismanagement of his welfare and funds. Sell the castle break every single link to these people. Then write a book about it and move on.

I grew up in PA and spent a lot of time in West Chester as a teen. My friends and I use to drive by Castle Bam every so often and had a couple of friends in the West Chester area. He's the reason that area has notoriety now (Besides Sean Penn lol.) But Bam left a resounding impression on his and my small seemingly insignificant hometown with a population of 5,000 in PA, also. I continue to root him on! Love you to bits Bam!!
If there's one thing that's at least consistent with Bam is he never changes his story. He loves his son more than anything but he knows he can't be around Nikki. I'm glad he mentioned the lawyers doing the work cause he knows he can't do it himself without being set up. Again, good job BJ with asking the important questions. I’m amazed they weren’t concerned about things like serotonin syndrome with all those antidepressants and suicidal ideation. Just one of those drugs has a very bad reputation for causing that often!
@Better With The Irish seroquel is actually an atypical antipsychotic, primarily used to treat bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and occasionally insomnia. Every prescription drug has some kind of dangerous side effect...not everyone who is prescribed seroquel suffers with suicidal ideation. Many people, like myself (I've been prescribed seroquel since 2011) have taken it with fantastic results.

So I understand that BAM needs help and sustained sobriety and his family claims they “love” him… What I don’t understand is how are they having him committed and taking his assets because he’s using drugs and alcohol? There are many people on drugs and they can’t be committed… It’s like everywhere he goes, he either gets committed, arrested, etc? And legally, how is his son being withheld from him? So he can’t see his son for a year because he’s an addict? He has the right even if it’s supervised. I can’t imagine the emotional damage this is doing to his son… it’s ridiculous 😢

I've liked him since back in the day, & grew up with two guys that were very much like him. So yeah, I was definitely a tomboy. Bam, I love the energy you exude... Yes, THIS! I have experienced it myself. Ofc not exactly in the same way as Bam. But when people around you, MANY ppl, that are supposed to care for you constantly gaslights you and go behind your back and don't ever listen. Once you're able to openly talk, in a safe space, it's like a plug being opened and everything just flows out with all the anger and all the sadness. I feel so fucking bad for Bam, growing up with him on TV, I truly hope he will get his justice and maybe one day can find peace after all this chaos. WE SUPPORT YOU BAM 💜🖤💜

I wrote a book about my addiction and recovery. I want to talk to him about ibogaine. Im not some groupie that just wants to talk to him. I want to help. Bam was doing GREAT with the Shaman, they should have left him alone. Outside of that, he would probably do great with just Therapy, like I have treatment resistant Depression and Panic Attacks (a few decades long) and have spent my life on prescriptions that don't work and have horrible side effects. I tried to get into the Psilocybin Clinical Trails but I didn't meet the criteria they were looking for at that time. I was getting worse and working to get an appointment at a Psych Clinic at the local hospital to get Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation and possibly Esketamine Treatmens. In the meantime, I started going to a Therapist. It's working so well that I actually canceled the appointment I had gotten for the TMS and Esketamine Treatments.
His family is using him just like Britneys family did. We need to get this man free! Prayers for bam ❤
Sadly, if this man wasn’t worth the money value that he has occurred, no one, not even his “family” would give a shit about him! They’d probably let him roam around the town or county soullessly without caring what he did or said, dead, alive or incarcerated! So sick!

The reason they got into a confrontation was because his brother was in a group chat plotting to get him committed, and he wasn’t doing anything wrong, they just didn’t want him there at his own home. Regardless if Bam has substance abuse issues, does not give anyone the right to try and keep his house from him.

My mother told me before I was pregnant that I would end up giving her my child like she gave me to her mother. It was like a joke in a way. Well I became pregnant an I really didn't want the child an I tried to sneak out to get an abortion because my apt was at 6am an she caught me an made me miss my apt. Then talked me outta it an into shame. Once I had the baby she got me on pain meds. She was prescribed these pills an never took em an gave em to me. I was very sad because I didn't want to be a mother an I was on drugs now because of my mother. Then my mother threw me in rehab an while I was in there she sent me court papers to the rehab to take my child from my custody. Then I ended up just giving up. She had all my friends and my whole family in there against me. So I gave up. Then she never allowed me to see him. Unless it was through a truck window. Then she got cancer and it went to her brain an while she was in the hospital she helped my stepdad get custody of him. While she was in the hospital i was pregnant an gave birth to a baby girl. And now she is dead. Iv been a clean for 13yrs and have a family an 3 kids an iv been a great mother. Moral of the story is my mother had to die so I could live.
I am so sorry she did that to you. It seems to me like she had guilt for giving you away so in her mind a way to make up for that was to raise your child and pass it on to you. To force pregnancy and birth onto someone who doesn't want a child is criminal. I believe she gave herself cancer. I'm glad you're sober. Sobriety is so hard to get to when you've been through such a severe trauma as you have. I am so proud of you. 💛 🫂

I love how some alcoholics like Jess think they are superior to other alcoholics because they drink beer instead of liquor. If you drink every day to the point the fridge is stocked with beer then you are a alcoholic. Plain and simple. A addicts opinion on another addict is irrelevant. You have no right giving an opinion. You need to worry about your own issues.

My family did some very similar things to me. They abused and manipulated me, isolated me until I acted out. Then, I'd be institutionalized against my will and HEAVILY medicated.
The medications would give me awful side effects, and my behavior was always used against me, even when it was a result of the medications. Then, they'd institutionalize me again for trying to get rid of myself or acting out or running away. It was an awful existence.
I have no contact with them anymore, I got away right before I turned 18 and never glanced back.
Man, my heart breaks with the thought that he probably still never saw his son before they 51/50'd him.

@Ray Lewis it was after he was "on the run". He attended court with his lawyer after his family made that claim, proving he was never really on the run.
I believe it was after that that he did the interview with BJ that's recorded here. Though I could be getting the timeline mixed up. He went to California a day or two before this video was posted, he was supposed to meet up with his girlfriend and son in Cali and it was another setup just like Florida.
