Macon is a town here in Georgia USA. They filmed a lot here, Macon, Albany, ATL and Savannah. I met Darrel Dixon (Norman Reedus) and the cast a few years back when they filmed in the factory across the street from me. Very kind folks, great show and very lovely to see y'all playing this game 😅😂🤣 love this channel so much so far, praise be big D trump our apocalyptic savior 😂🎉

Ok British editor, here is a crash course on the geography of Georgia. It would still be easier for you to just google it, but since I’ve lived here my entire life and used to be a fan of the Walking Dead show (and I’m bored rn) Imma give you a run down of the areas so far mentioned in this episode as well as where would be the best place to go in this situation.
Atlanta: the capital in the upper middle of the state (but also kinda to the west. It’s closer to Alabama than South Carolina). Super dense with people, traffic is hell everyday and I can only imagine all the abandoned cars in the apocalypse would make driving through impossible, let alone all the dead. Just avoid Atlanta at all costs.
Macon: there’s at least 2 in the state. One is a county, which is a ways south of Atlanta. The other is a city, and this is the one Lee is referring to. It is also much south of Atlanta but not as far as the county one. It’s a relatively normal sized city (small compared to ATL) but I still wouldn’t go to such a populated area during the apocalypse.
Athens: college town east of Atlanta. I don’t think you’d wanna go there during the apocalypse either.
Savannah: lying in the very south east of the state right on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean, this is our city of the dead. Literally. Legend goes they ran outta room for the city (it used to be the capital, so of course they would’ve wanted to expand it) and had to start building on top of graves and cemeteries. But you don’t have to worry about that, those corpses are 6 feet under and too dead to reanimate. But the city itself is still pretty populated so I wouldn’t go there. It might seem like a good idea to take a boat off the coast and wait out away from everything, until you realize you’d have to come back to land for supplies. Plus the tropical storms during certain parts of the year can be dangerous.
Marietta: city a little ways north of Atlanta, but still close/populated enough to be unsafe. HOWEVER this is still the best direction to go in my opinion.
In a zombie apocalypse, it is best to head north, as close to (if not on) the Appalachian mountains as possible. 1) a lot of natural springs and waterfalls up there, perfect for clean water AND the sounds of the splashing will cover up some noise you might make (think of that one seen in A Quiet Place) 2) there will be plenty of wildlife to hunt since the area was largely protected and preserved by the state before the apocalypse. But watch out for bears. Or worse, zombie bears. And there are still some flat parts for farming as well. 3) the uphill terrain will make it wayyy harder for zombies to reach you. I recently climbed up a waterfall towards the start of the Appalachian trail. It took 600+ stairs to reach the top. Those slow af zombies will tumble down before they reach up there, if they can even find the wooden stairs in the middle of the forest in the first place. It would be hard to try to avoid metro Atlanta and other cities to get up north, but not entirely impossible. ESPECIALLY if you go during the start of the apocalypse after the initial big panic dies down some.
