F-f-f-f-f foxy. Glad you found it useful. Yeah the irrigation system can be a bit fiddly with the rivers and rocks. My way is nice and simple, it may not be completely efficient but its clean and simple and looks nice x
the train network sounds like a good ide and for industry it can be easy to move around if needed but what about houses? I have begun sort of planning out my powerplants inside the housing but it will always be gaps or to mutch overlap any tips on how to plan this out.
Yeah its great for industry and making sure theres no hold ups but yeah it does take up a little extra space but I liked the look of parallel tracks and i hate hold ups lol. Its always nice to plan for power plants I just know long term late game i'll be boosting the ranges of the power plants by 60 - 75 spaces so one (or two depending on island size and shape) in the middle will cover an island
Thanks for the idea I could look into this and / or show the same sort of principles of road layouts on a pre season 3, season 3 and industrial crown falls. I'll have to have a look into it.
Hey, question. How do you connect the oil harbor to a two track system? I have a "waffle" junction right in front of my oil harbor but there is one a single track exit from the oil harbor module.
Thanks for sharing! Do you happen to have (or know where I can find) an illustration of this 3x2 layout with this road and train setup in the grid form like you can see on the Wiki for city layouts?
I do not have one of the layouts like they have wiki as I adapt the placement of the tracks and public service builds depending on the island and as the palace buff increases the range of the public service buildings. I'll have a look at the wiki and see what they have there and see if there's anything I can do in the future
depending on how big your pop is you dont need tractors on everything. in enbesa I like to try and keep the fuel stations and lines on the outside edges of the islands even if they dont go in straight lines all the time just to free up the main islands for filtering the irrigation channels . I have a video on the channel about where ships enter and leave maps also if oyu struggle on new world oil take it from the cape as its closer to enbesa in timings. For the oil harbour I first work out the irrigation as that is more important and then figure out where the best place for the oil harbour is around that
not sure if i have the file for this game I will have to check as its been a while and if i can safely upload them as in the game save not storing personal info ect i'll have a look into it . if i can it will most likely be to my discord
I dont really have any pre made templates other than early on in the game i decide where the rail network will go if i have to import or naturally extract from the islands and using a 3 x 2 layout for housing as I know later in a game there will be only be engineers, investors and scholars and I will heavily investing into attractiveness to increase the range of public services buildings by 60 blocks. Also because i play on max diff on small islands i just make the housing and public buildings fir where i can lol. I was thinking down the line doing a video where i just go to blank islands and draw in the road systems for where the rail network will go
The best thing for the New world is organised the islands where your housing and productions and agriculture as early as you can. Save your largest spaces for crops and try to keep the tracks to the edges of those areas. Look at where the rivers converge and you can cut across them, you are trying to not cut off large chunks of land space off and utilise the range on the fuelling station. I personally try to keep to number of turns down and look at straight lines it can help you segment the island into areas early
@@ItrooTwitch I don't either, but you don't return a Rolls Royce because of a little dent. This is the best thought out and executed PC game I've ever played, in any genre.
@@shelbyseelbach9568 no you dont do it your self you send one of the gardeners to return it old boy lol. Yeah not blue printing roads n tracks is more of a no idea why it isnt a feature it is a simple thing but changes nothing about the game being such a good game
You can cut back on some of the lines but then it messes with the look of it lol. It does take a small amount of extra space but its reliability and efficiency on keeping all your trains running out on the tracks is worth it
@@ItrooTwitch i love efficiency too, but the priority is making a city that looks kinda realistic. Simulating a living breathing city is a lot more interesting and difficult for me
Bruh that's not 3x2... that's 6x9 O.o you probably meant 3 houses by 2 but it's incredibly confusing when literally everyone else uses tile space instead of the buildings themselves
I can understand that, anno 1800 was the first anno game i have played and first city builder game / rts since the late 90's and for housing and how I built them ( and everything else fits into this sizing system for how I play the game haha) I made is simpler since the house size is a constant in the game across all tiers so i count the buildings and draw with them haha
Thank you very much again Itroo,
It is very neat and clear also thanks for explaining how some of the public buildings work.
My pleasure! glad you enjoyed it. If theres anything else anyone wants a video on feel free to comment i'll add it to my list
I love the land of lions lay out !
Glad you liked it pixie!!!
Very efficient. The Land of Lions blew me away though, never seen one like that. Nice.
Yeah its a fun DLC with good content
Hey Itroo, this is super helpful. Especially Enbesa as I always struggle with the irrigation system. x Marieke (FoxyAngelica)

Great video mate, especially the Enbesa tip since i found the irrigation system irritating
Glad you liked it the irrigation system took a while to get to those sorts of layouts
these are very nice, gj
thank you for the kind words
Very solid thx!
glad you enjoyed it

How do you incorporate fuel and tractors into the land of lions layout you used here?

were is the download link ! if you don't mind me asking
Train tracks can't be blue printed, neither can roads.
At least in my experience.
Nope they cant be done in blue print , no idea why not
