Making this today! Can’t wait to try it! First time goat owner and cheese maker. I have two Lamancha does that I ADORE 🐐 🥰 🐐 and I’m having a blast making all the cheeses! Thanks to your channel, I’ve learned SO MUCH. Hoping you keep posting; I love your content.
Since you're in the South, you should make Pecan crust! Way better than graham cracker crust. And, if you want to be a little adventurous, try Macadamia Nut crust with Key Lime cheese cake! I promise you, you'll quickly forget about graham cracker crusts.
HammockHavenFarm. She was Diagnosed with disautonomia and POTS. Basically her automatic systems aren't regulating like they should. She's doing better but its a challenge. The cheese cake will definitely help when she's not feeling well. Its one of her favorites.
Thanks for the recipe. I get bad reactions to milk and cow cheese, but I can tolerate goats milk and cheese pretty well. With your recipe as a base, I can add other flavors! Thanks again.
that looks great! I did a salted caramel one (made the caramel from my goat milk) with the chèvre for the cake was great ! oh and try the pretzel crust too I did it for my husbands birthday he loved it. I can taste the lemon though .Its a good way to use up some of the frozen chèvre.
Dwane Oliver raspberries are my favorite, but it’s too hot to grow them here. I have plenty of strawberry, blueberry, and peach preserves in the cupboard, but I wanted RASPBERRY! So I treated myself with some fancy imported preserves.
If I just wanted to make this more a plain or a vanilla recipe as opposed to lemon (not for me I love it the way it is but the wife is not a lemon fan) should I just remove the lemon or you think I should add more vanilla flavor also?
May I ask why using Flour? What the taste would be with and without using flour? Does anyone know? I have tried to make some recently, but I forgot the flour, so I wonder how the taste would change with flour. Thank U!
Right. Buy a graham cracker crust. Add one log of goat cheese from Trader Joe's to a bowl. Add one package of lemon pudding to the goat cheese. Beat till smooth. Pour the goat cheese and lemon pudding into the crust. Refrigerate for 2 hours. This is the best and easiest goat cheese cream pie when it is 108 in Tucson. No back and hardly any standing.
@@HammockHavenFarm Yeah WHOLE FOODS is ridiculous on their prices. TJ's is my go to place for goat cheese and non dairy milk. I cannot tolerate any lactose. Hope one day you get one. JJ:)
@@HammockHavenFarm I hope I did not make you mad. I have been married for almost 49 years come this November. I have made homemade cakes and cream pies almost all my life. NOW, however my hubby does the cooking. I had a stroke in 2012 and cannot do the things I used to. As much as I still love cream pie I cannot eat it often due to high carb content. At my age you have to watch everything you eat. Ha ha. My hubby says my best recipe is dump and heat. Ha ha. I guess that's true. Thankfully in this heat we can order out more for good food not for fast food. I love a great salad, the only thing I still make from scratch. Thanks. JJ:)
I know this is a really old video but… That’s not how you put the bottom in a springform pan. Open the latch and put the bottom in the indent that’s at the bottom edge of the outside frame. Then close the latch and the bottom of the pan will be locked in place.
Made this recipe yesterday, I hadn't made a cheese cake for a long time so I couldn't remember how it went the cake turned out great tasting however it wasn't creamy like I was expecting so I looked at some other recipes on line, your not supposed to over mix as to not get to much air in the mix, so next time I will not separate the eggs and mix slowly. Also everything should be a t room temperature to start and you don't want to over cook or it will crack. Any way I am not putting this recipe down as I said it was very tasty, my husband loved it just wasn't quite the right texture for me. Thank you for sharing this recipe.
Finally! An actual goatcake cheesecake cheese goat cheese cake cake recipe with no cream cheese. Wonderful presentation by a lovely lady.

Oh My! This will grace my ktchen table. Lovely. I will try my pepper jelly for a glaze.
That sounds interesting!
Thx! This turned out so well!
Great video looks soo good! Can't wait to try making it.
luckypup16 tastes as good as it looked. Or I should say “tasted”. It didn’t last long.

You actually need a REASON to make cheesecake??!!!
Congratulations for your channel success! That looks delicious.
Ruby Gray lol! Seems like there should be a special occasion. Maybe I need to make up more special occasions.
Looks delicious. I'll have to save this for spring. Had to dry our girls out this year due to the child's health issues.
usbpphillips I’m sorry to hear that. I hope your child is better and that the milk is flowing come spring.

Sounds awesome! I think I'll make it in like a year and six months from now lol!

I made salted caramels over Christmas. Will definitely have to incorporate it in cheesecake in the future!
That is gorgeous! I am looking forward to getting milk goats next spring. Do you ever have people visit your flock to learn more about raising goats?
Yes, we do from time to time. What breeds are you considering. We are planning to do a few more goat care videos in the near future.
We are looking into Nubians. They seem to be a good milk/meat breed.
Frances Beck they tend to have high butterfat too.
Congrats on the success , I was a bit amazed with the store bought jam ........

Oh ya yummy that is now on my list for this weeke5
Another one may be on my list. This one didn't last long!

Hi,was it the goat's milk cottage cheese recipe that you made your lovely cheesecake with?or do you have a recipe for the one you used? Thanking you
I used our goat milk chèvre. We have a video for making that on our channel.
@@HammockHavenFarm Thank you. I shall try to make it too. Looked wonderful. Love your videos.

I wouldn't want to turn my oven on if it was 108* out either! Thanks for watching.
PS. Wish we'd get a TJ's, I request a location on their website every year to no avail.

Just curious, why didn't you use goat butter?
It takes way too much time to separate the cream to make goat butter. I just buy butter.

This is is definitely a light fluffy style cheese cake. I prefer it over the very heavy, dense type. I'm sorry it was not to your taste.
Your cooking and cheese making is addictive to watch. Kind of like video cocaine for old men like me...
You lost me at, "We ate it anyway."
