So cool to see someone else attemp this as well...sometimes a belt cannot be had soon enough, or if you are like me....ANYTHING can be repaired. I was told I could not plastic weld my cracked radiator tank....well its been months now, still driving, still have not replaced the radiator. I used a wood burning iron, a scrap piece of radiator plastic etc... Im also sewing this belt, but I used a bench grinder (i know, ridiculous 😅) and TAPERED the ends so that when they overlapped, the thickness stays the same. Hehehe 🤓
I am attempting this very same thing and was wondering the life expectancy of your fix? Just wondering if it was something that lasted a time or two or muck longer so I can figure out out if I need to order a new one anytime soon.
We have much to learn from our elders. Even little tips and tricks like this! Thank you for sharing!😎🙏🏽😎

I like you guys... I can tell your just a down to earth couple... too cute... and ..then out comes the thimble..I ...melted........❤️❤️❤️💖
Thank You soooo much! Until I can get to store!
So you're going to sew together a stretched out belt? Got it
Because you can't buy belts in shop you have to buy them online
Takes to long to ship it
How long did it last? Is it still alive with the repaired belt?
That needed to go through that rubber a lot easier if you heat it up the needle and used a pair of pliers to push it through

It’s only if you need to temporarily fix it until you go to the store
Not a bad idea sir I'm going to do this now
wonder if i sewed dental floss would it be tougher....
I recommend you got a new belt for that vacuum
thx you so much
You could just buy a thousand belts...
