  • This video Shows what can be used to remove major imperfections on painted surfaces. Auto paint correction can be difficult and time consuming....this may help. G 360 -Farecla G360 Super Fast Compound easily glides over the surface while rapidly cutting to remove P1200 sanding marks-saving time and money. Transparent in use, the operator is able to see these marks disappear permanently. Use the product on a clean, cool surface. Then use an electric or air buffer set between 1200-1500 rpm, applying light pressure. In each step, apply enough (dime size) compound to the paint surface to work a 2 x 2 ft. area. For best results, use enough compound to keep a thin wet film on the surface for several passes.
    Additional features and benefits include:
    Removes P1200 or finer scratches
Use on all refinish clear coats and OEM paint
Heavy viscosity for reduced sling and easy clean-up
    Utilizes easy glide technology

Farécla products | Surface Finishing Specialists are certainly not bad. Whether it scores better than Sonax? Personally and purely personal, I see no reason to prioritize this brand.
On the other hand, someone who has learned to work with Farécla will have found his niche in this.
Here in Belgium this brand is less known, 3M and Sonax can be found everywhere. In addition, Nanolex, Poorboys, 3D etc.
      Still a nice upload.

We like them in europe. They also have upgrade the G3 to G3 premium witch is step 1 plus step 2 on one.product according to their numbering on their product line.
      I suppose something like 1 step like sonX 05-05, koch f6 e.t.c
Maybe you like it if it is available.in usa

I personally found that Roar920 cut's the fastest and leaves the best finish after removing peel with 800, but make sure you keep it wet, otherwise it burns FAST & DEEP into the paint.

My kia stinger had a months worth of las vegas dirt on it. I told dealer do not wash. It was mistakenly given the old speed wash and the clear coat it now trashed. Spoke with service manager who said he was an ex-detailer and was told an automatic car wash is what caused the damage. He then said that a hand wash can't cause scratches to the paint and that the pressure washer that they use gets all the dirt off before they hand wash it. Brian after watching this video i would say the scratches in my clear are 2500-3000 grit equivalent. If someone who stated they were an ex detailer said this to you what would you think? He said it was a fact that you cannot scratch a car's paint with a hand wash. The only fact is that it has not been through an automatic car wash.

ideally you should tell what car the test panel is coming from. It is one thing to correct a soft(ish) clear and totally another thing to correct a super hard german clearcoat. I had a couple of BMWs over time with clearcoat so hard I could barely sand them. It was a pain to polish them....

Cut nibs with 3" 2000 grit BlackIce, If you need to match orange peel hit with 6" Q775 2000 Super Flexible Film and Interface pad. Then hit with G360 with Coarse Waffle pad, G360 with Fine Waffle pad, done. Hands down the best process. Water based, cleans off with water, doesn't harden like concrete in door jambs and no silicone or wax fillers that hides scratches.

Menzerna 3800 whit Finishing Pad ( Maguires black Pad)

    • @jdisdetermined
      @jdisdetermined 2 роки тому

Sounds like two separate issues. What do you mean by scratches left behind? Are you talking deeper stuff not fully removed or is it not even removing swirls? Either way that usually means not enough cut. If even swirls aren’t coming out, you need to up your cut. Turn the polisher speed up, slow down your arm speed and use a bit more pressure. See what that does. The rupes pads are fine, you can stick with those. Really deep stuff is usually a wet sanding job, and unless you’re *positive* you have plenty of clear left, be very careful how far you go with those.
You’re also leaving haze behind, which can mean the polish doesn’t have enough cut to clean up after the compound, but it means it’s not finishing down well in some fashion. That is often due to softer paint. Are you working clean? Are your towels and pads fresh and clean? Are you cleaning your pad after every section and/or changing pads frequently? Working clean and residue control is a huge factor. Toyota paint can sometimes be soft and finicky. Are you using the yellow or white Rupes pads? If you’re using white, try the yellow first, see what that does. Some soft paint actually finishes better with a stiffer pad. If you’re using yellow, try the white first. Try yellow then white. Try using more polish, try using *much* less. Try doing just a single pass instead of several. You have to find what makes the paint happy. The Rupes liquids aren’t the absolute best, but they definitely work.
