Oooh, Platoon, Saving Private Ryan, The Great Escape, Dirty Dozen, Patton, A Bridge Too Far, Bridge Over the River Kwai….cant forget the WWII classics!
Wind is sweeping across the plains in OK. No pipe in the garage today. Very cold but no snow yet. War movies would be Sargent York with Gary Cooper and Lone Survivor.
Morning Brian, this blend grew on me after few bowls and i hate for a blend to be contingent to a pipe but it certainly fair better in a cob! Enjoy the weekend brother and stay warm i know the storm hit us bad
G’day Beans! Your video kept coming up in my feed like a nagging wife…so, I watched. Sarge is one of those blokes that is just good at whatever. He’s made me some cool AND useful stuff over the years that I still use to this day. Anyways, keep warm. Hope you don’t have to venture out into The Tundra. Glen.
Although I have not seen it in YEARS, I remember that The Boys In Company C was a good one. Of course, Patton, All Quiet on The Western Front, Schindler's List, and Glory. On those Low Country blends, I have had several and generally for the cost you pay, not a bad deal.
Good evening from a rainy windy S.A 😢 We having power outages as well 😮 Beautiful , ideal for the bar 😉Nice Zippos and Pipe 👍🏼 The hunted with Tommy Lee Jones 👏🏼 Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the blend 😉 Have a great long weekend and Happy smoking moments 🌬💨💨 Go Cowboys 🤠 Greetings from South Africa 🇿🇦
Yeah I got a lot lot of war movies I re watch all the time , full metal jacket, platoon , casualties of war, big red one, heartbreak ridge then also historical stuff like brave heart, last Mohegans , last samurai I can go on lol 🍻
Thanks for the review. I’m going to go with an old school submarine movie, “Run Silent, Run Deep”. Sorry you didn’t get to the Elizabethan Tin. Would like hear that review. If there’s a giveaway, I say Go Cowboys!
GOoD morning Brian! I liked all the war movies you named and I would add When We Were Soldiers (with Mel Gibson and Sam Elliott). Take care and have a good one. ✌🏽🙂
I remember metalmorphist! I hate that I had to change my Google account... I lost all my old subs and videos. And yeah, I've been trying for a few months to get some Hiking myself, but can't find it. Have a great week!!
Full meysl jacket is a favorite of mine also Midway with Charlton Heston and any John Wayne war movie. Also you mentioned Saving Private Ryan is always a favorite of mine
@@beans316 awesome, I do believe it's among one of the best cigar leaf blends available, so many of them have Latakia which isn't a favorite of mine anymore.
Hey Brian, I could swear you bought up all the Wessex gold brick. Lol. War movies, the great escape, green berets, and the bridge over the river Kwai.🥃happy💭.
Alvin c York movie is a good one I'm partial he's a local hero. And I'm the same way on the haunted book shop absolutely hated it last yr and I revisited it the other day and now I'd say it's in my top 5. What's your shop size if you don't mind me asking. And sometime would you give us a tour around the shop?
Love the look/complimentary colors of that pipe! It’s interesting that Guendalose’s aftertaste reminds you of beer; coincidentally, I get the same experience from Elizabethan, which just so happens to be your “just in case“ backup. A few favorite classic war (& war themed) movies… 1. Story of G.I. Joe (1945) 2. All Quiet on The Western Front (1930 & 2022) 3. Stalag 17 (1953) 4. The Great Escape (1963) 5. The Dirty Dozen (1967) 6. The Bridge on The River Kwai (1957) Enjoy your weekend/week. Hope the wife doesn’t detect the cigar smoking in the no-no zone, and hope the power doesn’t go out on ya.
Hey Brian, sitting here watching ancient aliens top 10 creatures. Mothman came in at #6. WV monster and I wonder if you've ever come across the "mothman" 😮😮😮😊😅😊😅
If the Cowboys make it into the Superbowl, I’m inviting myself to your house to watch the game. I’ll put in for a day off on that following Monday because the bourbon and cigars consumed would be outrageous!
Good morning and Happy Saturday my friend. Peterson Flake in a Neerup Rhodesian this morning. It's not only the Hiking that seems to sell out, there seemed to be a correlation between you giving something a great review and it flying off of the shelves. I picked up on that a few years ago. Of course I wish your Dallas Cowboys well tomorrow night, though I am on the opposite side with a GO PACK! GO! That they made the playoffs was a bonus because I was just looking for them to get better from Week 1 to Week 18. Have a good one! Enjoy the cigar!
Good morning Brian, that sounds like an interesting blend for sure… be careful with the cigar you don’t want to get banned altogether lol…. Love the little pipe.
Baaahhhaaaa ohhhh come on now we’re going to need it ? Would definitely be a huge upset and the end of our coach for sure if we don’t at least make it to 49ers he’s gone

I’ve been scanning your store for pipe sales. I’ll eventually get one. You think she won’t notice the difference between your pipe tobacco and your cigar, eh? You’re playing with fire, my friend! Beans316 RIP 1/13/2024
Cigar smoker, not pipe, yet. When you said toward the end that the pipe needed to be broken in..I'm not sure what thar means. Is it that the tobacco taste mixes with the pipe wood until it's broken in? Thanks.
Sands of Iwo Jima ,war move. I am a huanted bookshop fan. I fined that Low Country burley and Virginia bulk mix is a satisfying alternative to HB. Be safe up there, Brian. I hope the power holds out.

We trust your honest thoughts and we appreciate your time. Have a wonderful and safe weekend! Stay warm, brother! God bless you!!! 🙏 Ps. Best wishes on your cigar attempt. 🤞
Good luck with the power! I was fully expecting to lose power here, with all the high wind warnings yesterday and last night. But so far, so good. I live in "Old Louisville," known for its Victorian brick homes and mature trees. Said trees always drop limbs during high wind events, and drop them on power lines. That blend today sounds interesting. I'll consider it. As for the Hiking Burley Flake, it was a bit too strong for me. But there is something going on with Burley blends. Many of them are out of stock, and when they return, there's a honkin' big price increase. As for you not being the cause of Hiking's being out of stock... don't kid yourself. The tobacco reviewers on UA-cam have a tremendous impact. Smokingpipes frequently has the notice for certain blends "Limited to ten tins per customer PER DAY". Kind of ridiculous, but there it is. Two days later, they're out of stock. Have a great weekend, my friend!
