I don't know why but this was so relaxing to watch. You have a very soothing voice. 😂😂😂
Just purchased my pkp and was, like you, very nervous. Your video was so helpful (and funny) it was great to see someone as 'oh good grief what the heck's it doing, poke it with a wooden spoon' as I was. I will definitely try the cake thing.
millyc30 yes I’m with you on this!! It was this video I had to turn to for help so strangely scared of it!!
100 years of experience- horrible death with steam hmmm so funny love it
Wow nice casserole & Lemon drizzle cake yummy , ❤❤the cooking class need more like this Carla 😂take care
Best pressure cooker video ever! Brilliant voiceover, so funny, thank you.
I love the straightforwardness of this review! You're very funny. Thank you!
Thank you so much for this. Really very helpful. I am the proud owner of a new pkp 6l and this video is supremely watchable, easy to follow. Love your sense of humour😂🤣😂🤣 ! Such an honest and human approach. I'm going to cook the stew today AND try the cake.... never ever make cake, but you've made it look SO easy. Hubby loves and misses his cakes! Thank you for your great vid x
I have one of those. Though don't have the steamer plate. I only ever use it to cook a joint of meat for Sunday lunch which comes out so tender
Love the descriptions! Very informative. I am actually debating buying one. Knowing me though, I would probably burn my face off.
The commentary on the video was hilarious. I had 1 of those but I couldn't get on with it. It went walkies out the door meaning that I chucked it out. I love my ninja foodi max I replaced it with.
I have your beef stew recipe in my Instant Pot for tonight's dinner - love these Carla, using the Pot is a bit intimidating.
Loving the steam clean part x
Hello from Sutton Surrey . You 2 lovely homely ladys. I got same cooker yesterday but 20 programmes in 1 hey ! with 12% discount from J Lewes I paid £89 instead of £99 .Making yogurt to start with. Was struggling with bloody Valve but thanks God not to long )) Yet to find out how to make this cakes to taste like out of oven. Because with my previous TEFAL one it always tasted "steamed" rather than baked which i don't really like. Exciting new toy ! ))
Thanks alot maam ihv tried making cake in rice options setting it came out well but definitely will try in this setting too 😊😊thanks alot
I love this vid! I am thinking of buying but was haunted by the childhood memory of coming home to stew and dumplings drippong from the kitchen ceiling 😆. But I think I have been convinced by your courage and will go for it. Thanks. K
I've had it for about 8 months now i think and i absolutely love it. You won;t regret it!
I always thought it would blow my head off with the pressure, joys of the 80's
Ps Çarla , I've now subscribed to your channel. Keep up the humour in your videos please.
Thank you for sharing this
I also had problems working out which way the pressure steam valve is open or closed. It is different from the picture in the instruction booklet. Which way is closed?
On mine, you turn it clockwise to close it, and anti-clockwise to open it. Hope that helps.
Hi carla what button do you press for the steam clean please. Thank you Maria 😊
I've just used mine and, foolishly, I didn't steam clean it first.
Is the food safe to eat or should I throw it away and start again?
It will be fine, lots of people have done the same thing.
everything i have tried to cook with it has got a pong like singed rubber
That's odd. Perhaps there's a problem with the rubber seal?
The link is not working. It does not take straight to the product.
Thankyou for letting me know, I have sorted it out.
Hi, I only came on to find out if this this thing air fries because they make it very difficult to compare as their different offerings don't seem to have model numbers.
Anyway, couldn't help noticing the room that opens onto your kitchen; does it contain a WC? If so, that would be against UK building regulations!
HI, no this model doesn't air-fry. And no, the WC isn't in the room you can see. There are two doors between the WC and the kitchen.
@@CarlaJenkins That's a pity. I was planning to blackmail you by reporting you to Building Control unless you sent me a large lemon drizzle cake 😋
Haha what an excellent blackmail plan!
Please can you tell me what size paper cake liners u used please? I got my PKP today...cant wait to get going
HI, they're like the ones in this link , but I buy them from tesco or home bargains and they only cost about a quid! tinyurl.com/tsc8v4u
How can clean the lid?
YOu can pull the centre knob up and the lid will come apart fro easy cleaning.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💚💙❤️🤗🥰
Is this woman demented? Shouldn't videos like this tell us how to operate the item?
This wasn't a promotional video - I didn't KNOW how to operate the damned thing. And 'this woman' is right here, thanks.
It would have been fine without the rather silly and unnecessary negative remarks. They made her appear unintelligent, which she probably isn’t ! The packing was normal for transportation. She would have been unhappy if it had arrived damaged.
Point 1) 'She' is a real person, who gets a notification when a comment is made. So perhaps you might address your remarks to me directly rather than speaking of me as though I wasn't here.
Point 2) I'll make whatever remarks I want, thanks. If you don't like my channel, don't watch.
Point 3) I am most definitely not unintelligent, and humour is not usually an indication of lack of intelligence. Your sense of humour may not tally with mine, or indeed may be lacking altogether.
Point 4) When you attempt to belittle others by unnecessary and and uncivil remarks, you make yourself look rather small.
Stupid old git. Why don't you watch something else if you don't like this? CLEARLY the lady who is making this video is highly intelligent and actually REALLY FUNNY! Also incredibly helful.
I loved, love your commentary throughout the video, and fully expressed how I felt using mine for the first time. Best wishes to you and Ally in your future endeavors ❤️
Hi Carla, Thank's for posting, Mine should arrive soon. PS If you read in the newspaper North east man blows up kitchen its probably me.🥴
Great helpful video enhanced by your lovely down to earth and funny comments which made me laugh out loud a few times😁
I had it years before using it, so nervous of it 😂, also filled it with cold water, still waiting for it to steam 🚂🚂🚂
Thank you so much for the video, I too was very confused about the valve. Very helpful
me too today but i got it !
on ours the valve is differently marked the marking is on the knob open and 2 steam marks this is confusing as the middle mark is the closed position which puts the valve down which is the position you want, if its getting hot and steam is coming out the valve its in the wrong position
so needs turning either switch it off let it cool down and turn it so it drops down or use a oven glove to turn it the it will will up pressure hope this helps
These Are £45 On Sale In Tesco Now (4th Jan 2020)
Cant get my pro king to stop pleeping
Are there other things you can cook without using the pressure facility?
Yes, there are lots of settings and I have made excellent cakes without the pressure element.
Any white cake is very good with jello drizzled on and into a cake , orange, strawberry I love it as well. Way to go.🥰
Still don’t understand which side the preasure is closed and in which is open? I have the 5l one and i tried to make a soup but the timer frizzed and i had to switch it off because there was no more water in it and my food was burned🤷🏻♀️. Please heeelp
That was really good Carla, just bought one and wanted to learn more of it's capability. Loved your video.
Molly really did look intrigued about your lemon 🍋 drizzle cake.
I have done Beef Stew, Asian Chicken soup with pop chow.
Will try cake now. I love it.
Omg I'm so glad you did this video I was scared as hell I thought it was faulty as well.thank you this was really helpfull😁
Good video. Great detail. I’ve just bought the 3 litre model but yet to try out. Thanks guys.
I have just brought one of these off amazon but mine is the three litre version as there are only me and my daughter at home . It’s arriving today can’t wait x
Nice work, great video, many thanks!
Thanks Carla! I will try these recipes x
Watched you video a little while ago, then lost you but found you again ....thankfully as wanted to ask you what size cake paper do you use and wonder your input weather you can use a silicone cake mould??? Loving your Molly and yup she knew that cake was yummy!!
Hi - I use the standard large cake liners that you can buy in major supermarkets, i think they're around 7-8". I know other people have cooked successfully in silicone cake moulds, but i wonder if perhaps you would need to increase the cooking time slightly?
Carla Jenkins Thank you .... lets see how I go 😬
I have the 3 ltr version and mines silver and has a copper pot as well but does not come with the cup and steam tray as it’s not large enough and there is no steam function . I love it but wish I’d got the larger one but never mind their a great bit of kit .
Yes I almost done the same thing. But luckily I’ve done a research although I am alone I bought the 5 litre but I don’t mind as I use it for meal prep. Also if you want you can sell it on Shpock someone might buys it and then you can upgrade. Tbh I wish I went for insta pot.
Same I wish I’d gone for insta pot too but their quite expensive but I’ve seen them cheap on eBay .
@@sallylouise9826 Hi Sally. Just to let you know that the insta pot is going for £59.99 on amazon for prime day. Its the 5.7 litre one. The deal is for 13th and 14th of October x
Thank you have seen it im very tempted to buy x
New subscriber here, well done and please don’t pay attention to the negative comments😍
Thanks for subbing!
