I think one of the biggest reservations when self teaching and trying to build a project is that you want the app/website free of bugs and ready to deploy after one sitting of coding. Honestly just get messy with it, casually read the docs, experiment with libraries and frameworks that appeal to you, don't be hard on yourself if it doesn't work right there and then. You'll figure it out eventually.

what's the point with the recession in this field? Good luck finding a job when cs grads can't land a job

The world works in ebbs and flows. Which means it won't always be like this. So this is a great time to get prepared for when the market is better. But also there are a lot of variables to getting a job so it's still possible!

@@thetechdad87 Thanks for your wisdom, I was feeling down as I couldn't land anything despite a long time of learning, and now I have to go and find a minimum paying job, so slightly bitter haha.

I get it I do. But it's ok, keep learning and keep networking it will work out if you don't give up.

@@ThinkAbstract I saw this guy on linkedIn (David Roberts) and he puts out solid stuff. I think he mentions - how do you set yourself apart from the other boot camp or cs grad? What have you been working on? What technologies make you a good fit that you have been working on? How can you get this across to the tech recruiter?
