Ready or Not has left a huge, positive impression. As a fan of the SWAT franchise, it is so exciting to finally see not only a game that is bringing this specific sub genre of tactical shooter back from the dead, but to also see one that clearly has so much care and attention put into its development. The updates that this game has been getting recently have gone above and beyond with overhauling the game's maps, graphics and AI, to the point where the game we have today only slightly resembles that of the version that came out in December of 2021.
I have high hopes for Ready or Not, and if you're a fan of the SWAT franchise, like the look of the game in this video, or enjoy tactical shooters in general, then you should strongly consider supporting this game and playing it for yourself.

After your review I got the game. This is the most fun modern FPS single player game I have.
So you can play solo without problems?
@@JohnLiuFromHKI mean you can try. The aI are so dumb that you end up doing 90% of it yourself. My fav way to play is two team co-op

Despite it being SWAT 4 successor, i would love to see the mechanic from SWAT 3 where you have to identify if a downed suspect is dead or just wounded. Its an incredibly simple way to layer on that immersion. It would also line the player up for a good jump scare, having to closely examine suspects that are faking death.

SWAT 4 is me and my brothers all time favorite tactical shooter, well if you include the nostalgia tax. We have played so much of it at a young age that its probably not healthy. SWAT 4 was way ahead of its time. SWAT 4 is play worthy to this day. Anyone played that The Stetchkov Syndicate DLC? That shit was tits! Anyway, Ready or Not is pretty good too, but its missing something in my mind. Still love it.
Ive never tried that Black Force or what ever mod you mentioned. Damn.. I missed out

Since it's been well over a year and version 1.0 released the other day, I wonder what your thoughts are on the game now that it's out of early access
I've got like 30 hours in the game and i've done everything. Back in the day i played Terrorist Hunt on Rainbow Six religiously. This game was what i wanted siege to be but never was, this game plugs a certain gap for me and it's great

6:43 I disagree. I have 100+ hours in this game, and I've spent all of them in Single Player. The Ai isn't great, but they can cover corners and protect you from flanking attacks. They are very capable at clearing rooms as well. It certainly isn't broken.
This is what rainbow 6 was intended to be, best fps that I've ever own
I've played so much of this with my friends. I wish the game was more expansive at this statem, though.

Really enjoyed the video, but it really struggled with pacing, I felt like 2x speed wasn't enough.
At 7:42 does he open the door telepathically?
And why the swat grips C clamp is covering the whole rifle.
If the game will be fully finished without any lame mistake ( too much interaction hud like waiting for pick up any objects, door open magically, no melee combat) I would buy 80%.
I have a suggestion for the devs. If they know the game police stories a 2d tactical shooter very similar to this game or swat they can take idea of having a custom mission with how many civilians and fake civilians there are and like terrorist and setting. Every time you do a mission eg. retrying the mission should randomize civilians and terrorist locations or positioning within rooms
The game actually does randomize civvies, traps and tango locations, except the ones that are actually supposed to be in some rooms.

I mean, if it's free, then sure, but people do realize that there are games that have already been finished, right? Some of them are even really good.

How can a game in 2022 not have mouse support? No invert Y axis and no sens options, what a fucking JOKE!
This game is killing itself I play sandstorm on xbox and gta ...cyberpunk was a fail but released saints row was terrible they got a 2/10 but was released I play breaking point and red dead and they both out of service...police simulator is a 4/10 but is bad and it dropped on xbox for 40$ if I half of this game it would be good the only reason why this game is alive is because of the mods..updated it after release
I would just like to point this out real quick and then go back to smoking. The game is billed as a realistic experience. People don't react the way you want them to in real life. They don't even act the way they want to in real life. The game clearly states "Do your best to respond appropriately to the realistically erratic behavior " which implys that some strung out crack head might point a gun at you and just stand there demanding you give them ice cream before opening fire. In one of your examples you said this was unrealistic behavior. I would say you not opening fire is unrealistic behavior. When someone points a gun at you, doing anything other then opening fire is just suspect.
