Stop the money laundering. Build our military back up.
tell isreal this.
they laundering for ukraine ! marxist commies !
Keep Canada safe he just sent 5billion to the Philippines He is spending like a drunken sailor
He's an ass of epic proportion.
Given that JT just pulled 910 million in defence funding effective 01 Apr 2024..... I’m gonna assume no, Canada will not meet nato defence spending expectations.
Didn't pull 910 MILLION, reallocated it for military procurement
the public is partly to blame for this. for the longest time, most canadians have not cared about the military. as such, govts have decided they can 'get away' with underfunding it.
id rather not give trudeau more military capabilities tbh.. i dont trust our politicians with military force..
Why care about military???
Why??????
Who is going to attack you except your own lunatic geese???
My years of witnessing the neglect of our military by both traditional governing parties… 1967-96. Equipment not replaced in a timely fashion. Constantly cutting of DND budgets & numbers of personnel. A broken procurement system ignored by both, for generations. Who does Canada trade with? Europe (NATO) & (NORAD) America. Why do both political parties feel allies & alliances can be ignored? How is it that the Canadian voting public has never made the status of our military a voting priority since the end of WW2?
Exactly. All parties get an F on defence
Basically as soon as the cold war ended, politicians seemed to think all war was over... The spending drop in the early 90s was extreme.
UNACCEEEEEEEEEEPTABLE
Aren't we paying for transition surgery in Uganda, that's expensive.
Trudeau likes to make his own rules in regards to nato in Trudeaus mind, however small, he considers less than 2percent contribution is satisfactory, well it’s not.
It's not and it's not only Trudeau. We have neglected our military for 50+ years and that includes every PM, cons and Lib, to the point where it hardly exists anymore except for the few brave heroes we send to fight under equipped and under strength.
Sweden on Thursday formally joined NATO as the 32nd member of the transatlantic military alliance
Trudeau and Trump had a strained personal relationship. Trump once said Trudeau was “two-faced,” describing the prime minister as “very dishonest and weak.”
Justin Trudeau acknowledged that Canada’s military is woefully short on supplies, but blamed the situation on our contributions to Ukraine.
"Why are we still fighting certain veterans groups in court? Because they're asking for more than we are able to give right now,"
Justin 🇨🇦
Trump called him out 2 %
half of the military's equipment is considered "unavailable and unserviceable" - says a recent internal Department of National Defence (DND)
“All things being equal, the simplest solution tends to be best one”
I’m 100% to vote ☑️ Poilievre!!
You can vote whichever way you want but to get to 2% without weakening the dollar with deficit spending it means raising taxes an average of $1000/per year per working person.
Most likely $1300/per year on the middle class.
I'm able to take the hit but not everyone is.
I’m not a huge anti Russia guy but that said serving in Latvia the Baltic states aren’t playing games they are honest in their distrust of Russia and I think it’s fair.
What's fair?
Russia is doing just fine without their sprats!!!!
Wtf would Russia have any kind of interest in latvia???? They don't need any dependants, like.....
@@dkrawk8309 Russia would have more ports in Baltic ocean, they just have small ports. If they get the Baltics, it would go straight to Polish and German borders.
@@niweshlekhak9646 quit spreading your hallucinations please
@@dkrawk8309 Putin said in his interview.
If we had military production facilities, we wouldn't have to purchase others equipment. When others deem their equipment obsolete and stop production, we can continue to produce spare parts.
so who is getting the new yacht in Latvia?
Wow, stil.l blaming the Harper government for everything even 9 years later .
Assurances? Ask the Ukraine how our missile defense system is working.
Lmao, how would the ukriane know? Those missiles never reached the ukriane
Deterance always costs less than war and there is a difference between being peaceful and being helpless. We really need at least 15 nuclear power subs and 30+ frigates plus equip entire army, do we have mobile artillery or still the pull around kind... seriously 😒
with the amount of missiles flying around we need destroyers, there is an 96 VLS cell variant of the frigate we are getting, can make it out of that.
How come he sounds like a Bond villain
It’s going to be comical when Trump asks Canada to leave NATO.
NATO tariffs! 2% on all Canadian imports.
trump even if elected wouldnt be Nato Secretary General, so not with the authority ,and no Nato country has ever been kicked out not France when it withdrew from Natos miltary command in 1966, or Turkiy even with its on again off again footsie with russia and Turkiye being even lower than Canada in its percentage of defense spending . And even trump didnt say would kick anyone out, said russia could do, whatever they want ,with countries that, werent paying ie wouldnt help those countries , also it being said after that that was a joke
@@eanerickson8915 thats never happened , not even in 1966 with France or with Turkiye in past decade,Turkiye also btw even lower than Canada in its percentage of defense spending
This is while TruDohs government has reduced spending on the military???
Is there a side project that the liberal government can call an increase in spending while reducing the military budget???
Harper reduced spending on the military so get over yourself.
@cthree87 Harper committed to the procurement of the F35s which the Liberals killed then now started process over wasting billions of dollars for nothing other than ineptitude. Harper government funded a war effort and did no worse in spending than previous governments. Trudeau Liberals are the epitome of ineptitude in everything they do.
Step down
So Mr drinkboxwaterbottle insults canadians and pretty much everyone by not giving any examples... no timeline... no commitment. That fool needs to go.
❤😂🎉😢😮😅😊
Vassy I think I heard you say that you have a son, Lol. I thought you had a daughter. I can’t find it on google though. I’m sorry if I’ve been wrong this whole time:)
Canada should spend whatever it is spending on defence now, and the rest it must spend on R&D to develop cutting-edge technology to safeguard its Arctic and North from incursions. That means RADARS identifies and tracks all kinds of aerial threats, including hypersonic aerial vehicles and stealth aircraft, software algorithms and anti-air threat-neutralizing multi-layered defence equipment, missiles, and electromagnetic pulse generators to confuse guidance systems of adversary air assets. Canada has a high-tech industry infrastructure and should use that intellectual capital to help keep the world free.
Why does Canada have to meet NATO spending targets? Can't Canada determine its own defense spending targets?
Because trudeau told Nato?
Because that was the agreement when joining NATO. If we don't meet that agreement Canada should be kicked out of NATO
Wtf is canada doing in nato anyway????
@@dkrawk8309 nothing apparently.
The Pathological liar
Doesnt matter if we are a part of NATO or not, we give money to Ukraine a non NATO country anyhow so whats the point of anything.
Canadas defense spending now greater than $30 Bn,in the range of 32 or $33 Billion , that being an increase of about 5-6 Bn in past yr primarily due to purchases of the F 35s,and P 8s,and other items ,like MQ 9s and combat /engineer vehicles . and Ukraine been given about 3, close to $ 4 Bn in military aid in past 2 years ,that being $ 1.5 to 2 Billion per year .
And Ukraine been given about $12 Bn in total in past 2 yrs largely through loans and grants .. thats about $ 8 Bn in financial aid , 4 Billion per year,Canadas federal budget being about or at least $400 Billlion /year. and Ukraine btw a Nato partner and there being the Nato-Ukraine Council
@@mnufeld8448 cheers for the reply 👍
💪💪🇺🇦🇨🇦💪💪
We need to leave nato and become a neutral country
Yeah... That makes sense... 🙄
I hope Trump sanctions all nations that don't spend 2%
Sanctions should equal 2% of the nations GDP
Lmao, yes. But that would mean that Putin wins
@@dkrawk8309 we aren’t in Ukraine. Putin has nukes
