- Today we set off for a deep sea adventure into the Mediterranean off the coast of Sicily, Italy. Temperatures are high and are only going to get higher throughout the afternoon. Let's see if we hook anything interesting before the intensity of the sun becomes too dangerous.

Great video guys! How many nautical miles from the shore did it strike? I'm considering a fishing/cruising boat in the Med and one of the places I'm thrilled about is Sicilia. 👍
Thats awesome! We were roughly about 3-4 miles out! We even went closer in for tuna litterally off the beach but didn't get the bite. But good luck and tight lines!
Hi guys, do u know if there is some place in catania that i could shorefish? is there anything except for beaches fishing-wise?
Great question! Unfortunately all I know is the beach fishing in Catania, and you can actually land tuna from the beach if you paddle out a bait, I seen tuna jump just out of casting distance from the shore. But if you're looking for trout, carp, you'll have to go further inland. The trout run further up towards Mt. Etna. There are a few areas where you can park a long side the road and fish! Happy fishing and tight lines!

Sorry I didn't see the comment! It's depends on where you on the island for beach fishing. But off shore is preferred for saltwater fish.

Early in the morning I've seen decent sized blue fish and plenty of bait pods. If you can get a live bait out 3-400feet out with a kayak I'm sure you could hook up on the tuna here.
