I personally feel that every country should have mandatory service of 2 yrs. at 18. The world would be a lot better for it! My husband did his service as a U.N. Peacekeeper in Cypress.
The current public is now so disrespectful, entitled, and playing for the camera that it has come time to change the way these guards are treated. There should be a wide boundary painted on the concrete that the public should not cross. No reason at all for the horses to be petted or touched. A metal stand and velvet rope boundary would look even better if it isn't a hazard for the horse. These young men and women soldiers and their horses are now endangered way too often.

@NadoriKaija, I am not sure where you are from, but in England there is Riding for the Disabled, where children can learn to ride according to their degree of ability. I must admit I have only seen this on video, but it is a delight to see. My son had a School Mistress pony, which means she had a special sense when children may not be too secure and needed a bit of a shuffle back on! We always felt happy when he was out on her because we knew she would look after him! He doesn’t have any disabilities and we found that he has taken after his Great Grandfather who was a genuine Horse Whisperer! Do see if there is anything available near you, all the horses and ponies are chosen for their kind nature and really look after their riders. If the rider needs help sitting in the saddle they will be helped , but just the interaction can be really beneficial. Best wishes to you and your son.

11:40 is where it looks like the “boss” is telling the tourists to move back
It wasn`t the "Boss", the Boss is the officer that came on to do the inspection.
Well, he's the guard commander of a Long Guard. That's his job.
that 1st guard...OMG gorgeous
I can only think,of one word----stunning 🏴🏴
God. Bless all are kings guards well done proud of you all xxx
Don’t they look smashing so pristine love the guards and officer looks magnificent and quite a handsome chap
I personally feel that every country should have mandatory service of 2 yrs. at 18. The world would be a lot better for it! My husband did his service as a U.N. Peacekeeper in Cypress.
Much respect for the Kings Guards, from the USA.
The bosses black coat and red stripe looks sharp.
Some serious guards .💂♀️
I can't imagine how sore their throats would be by the end of the day with all that yelling. Truly impressive I have to say!
Military doing fine work. Copper leaning on the chain rail like it's a Sunday afternoon picnic.
I must be losing my vision, because I didn't see anyone controlling tourist.
My 7y/o special needs kiddo was watching these with me today. He said he wants to become one when he grows up. Sadly I don't think he can be, with how special needs he is. But maybe he can do something else concerning the horses. He seems to love them.
@@Palominohusky Thank you for this!! There might be something like this not too far. I'll look into it!!
Their devotion is what makes me absolutely respect these guards. Cant believe they deal with so many annoying tourists and maintain composure besides the warranted "make way" or "get back"
Much Respect from across the pond!
He returned swords twice!
Can't imagine, as a Queen's Guard, having to put up with the tourists. It must be miserable for them.
Ooh i love the barking of orders
Anyone in authority reading this, PLEASE stop our fighting men and women being treated like a side-show ! stop the tourists getting so close and taking pictures, they lower the tone of the whole thing, not to mention a security risk !!
It’s disappointing how chaotic it is
Which part was chaotic?
@11:41 boss moves crowd back .
Respect...Love...Blessings... Protection...Thanks
Such dedication by the guards and disrespect by the entitled tourists. It’s shameful
Makes me feel very proud to be English. Hate the disrespect of some visitors.
Tourists. Leave the soldiers alone. Stay out of their way, and give them the respect they deserve. They are not there for your entertainment. Take your pictures from afar. Good grief...
My grandfather was in the military during World War Two. Indian military. Early to mid late forties. The comment late fathers 2nd battalion Scot guards Buckingham palace and Windsor castle. Never have never will do. I support your late father. All the other officers. I live on the east coast of Australia. 😊😊
May I ask a question. Why doe the guards slap their horses before dismounting during inspection?
This tells the horse their working day is over. Because it happens every time, the horses have learned the routine of the day. 😊
Are all the horses the same breed? They look similar and really stunning! I'm also amazed at how well behaved they are, mostly. How difficult must it be to not bring that sworn down hard when those ignorant tourist clowns grab the horse reins!? I know I probably couldn't do it, sitting there twitching all day thinking you're going to lob some clowns hand off...... nah, hats off to these dudes!!
I do like it when the horses have a wee nibble at them, when they get too close! lol Did anyone see the one with the drunk dude with a grey furry contraption on? lol Geeze oh, I'm really not sure how the guy thought that was going to go down. FaF though. 🍻
The horses are Irish draught thoroughbred cross , the Household Cavalry purchase them at 3/4 years old then train them . The duty in the box is for 1 hour then changed over , the horse is then finished for the day the Trooper goes on to do footguard duties .If you Google Household Cavalry there's a lot of information and some behind the scenes videos .
THIS IS NOT A SHOW! It is a DUTY you get to ADMIRE!
Great inspection but how did boss deal with crowds?
3:52 They Boss in black is telling the other man that he saved them some Apple Crumble and custard. 🤣🤣
The soldiers make the police look scruffy !
That's because the police are scruffy. They dress like paramilitaries in a banana republic
I saw more of the guards they have some pretty impressive automatic weapons that are kinda scary looking.
Uniforms and drill perfect. Meanwhile doors need paint and wall bases crumbling from neglect
Love it guards look great. Love it.
When did the public stop dressing well? 1950s?
I am just asking why the tourist are stupid? The guards have sabers and guns, I am an American and I thank you for your service over there,
God speed
They’re performers 😂 I literally laughed and replayed it at a few parts
So Many are saying what a great Day out with Viewing Guards 💂 Horses.
So why is there so Much disrespect for them when Pics are being taken, Soldiers walking to do their Duty.
Silly People not wanting to give way of Tradition’s That we all Love.❤️❤❤❤❤
The Boss from "The Blues and Royals"; black understated uniform. One of the household regiments like The Household Cavalry. Pucka! I was an RAF pilot, and we rather looked down on these "Rock apes" as we called them. We were the Tip of the Spear, the cream of the cream; risking our lives EVERY day; asking for nothing, and getting great respect. Was fun!
I love when they do the satute with the swords ❤❤
It’s funny how the police and the army have to guard the guards.
I love all of the different dress uniforms for the different contingents within the Royal Guard. While reading about it, I learned the difference between a crimson uniform and a scarlet uniform lol Is there really a difference? Oh yes!
