Nice vid. I have the CSW F1 esports wheel and the basic build quality is the same as with this wheel. So if you (like me) are OK with the lower number of inputs, then the esports wheel can be highly recommended as a much cheaper alternative. In all cases I highly recommend to use gloves, so to not ruin the Alcantera.

@@rektchord I have, a bit earlier than expected. But rather than that it’s a very big improvement and with F1 2020 as my main game I was back om my level (103 AI) in 2 days and therefore still improving in my lap times. :)
@@luuk19_ yeah I've heard a few things about the buttons. My main game is ACC so I don't need too many. I'll be honest, one of the main reasons was the look of it and how comfortable it looks. The thumb wheels are supposed to blend into 1 click in one quick swipe. That's the point. You mention you had trouble just getting one click of the wheel. You aren't meant to try to, you're meant to quickly flick it. I still think they should be tighter though.
Really? If it's by design then it achieves it perfectly, but I misled myself in thinking they should be much tighter and affirmative - 1:1 click ratio, no button float, if I spin it 3 clicks then I want 3 clicks. In this regard I have just adapted to it fine and haven't got an issue with it, but it was just a minor disappointment.
Hello, good morning, excuse me since I am writing to you through the translator ... I wanted to ask you apart from the fact that the tutorials are magnificent, I have a question on that basis and you have that steering wheel connected to Xbox One ... since I have an Xbox One X, I say it because I bought that steering wheel and the base, but before buying it I asked the question to Fanatec, who informed me that the CSL Elite V.1.1 wheel base was compatible ... and last night the console does not recognize anything Well, I have downloaded the update for the steering wheel from 64-bit fanatec to which it was updated but it still does not recognize the console with the Usb cable that comes from the base to the console ... looking like this from the page of the same steering wheel that you have ..that are not compatible ... and the videos I see ..most are with your CLUB SPORT Wheel Base V 2.5 but for ps4 and for xbox one according to the official website ... but I would like to know if you have tested on that Xbox one console .. it would be helpful, sorry if I bother you, thank you
Very nice review! I’m currently hesitating between the Formula Carbon, Formula Esports or Formula V2, I love the black and red V2, but like you said it is quite a bit more expensive and also I’m on PS4, so using an Xbox branded wheel is maybe a bit weird. The only thing I don’t like about the esports wheel are the colours, I love the light blue buttons on the bottom but I hate the yellow ones on the top haha
Thanks! If you ask me the F1 esports wheel looks real sharp and I doubt you'll notice the bright yellow button rings when you're in-sim, but aesthetics is totally a matter of opinion and I can't deny the V2 looks reaaaally cutting edge!
Thanks for the reply, yeah I’m sure I won’t notice it while driving but you know I do still care a lot about how it looks 😂 I think I might go for the Formula V2, it just looks so good, and I saw you can change the buttons on it as well instead of using Xbox buttons
@@SN13K3R I have the esports wheel and I'm very satisfied with it. So if you can live without the extra dials and buttons it is a great value proposition over F1 v2. The button colours are less neon than they appear on photos. to my eyes they look good IRL.
I've made peace with the thumb dials now, they could be more haptically pleasing but generally they do the job fine, I guess I just hoped for a proper firm confirmation
If the podium advanced paddles were compatible with the Esports wheel, I'd def take that combo over the V2. The V2 looks really "busy". But alas, the advanced paddles aren't compatible, so I'll have to fork up the almost extra $300 for the V2 and PA shifter paddles.
I appreciate the content. Ive been thinking about which wheel to get. I didnt want to spend the money for the V2 and was looking at the esports. This video kinda confirmed my feelings about that. For road racing i.e GT3 etc then a formula wheel just feels cooler if you ask me. But rallying and drifting is out of the question with a non circular wheel.
