Man this was probably the realest segment since the show started
Not even close lol
For so many reasons👀
Yall say that every post - yet most he says is emotional nonsense
Without a doubt it’s the most calm and concise lol
that shows you how important this topic is, it got all these guys to finally agree on something.
Agreed!
The most humble I ever heard Mccants and enjoyed it
True

Yeah bro played 4 years in the league and thinks he’s the best baller of all time. It nice to know he’s down to earth a little bit.
Ehhhh when you call it fake, you missed the point. It's basically respect for people. "Being real " means you don't know how to talk to people , crass, no boundaries aka a jerk
@@Snickerszn he won a national title being the main guy while being a lottery pick to the worse run franchise in the 21st century.
This conversation is why ESPN can’t hold a candle to this kind of platform.
They think Kimberly Martin and the other raccoon Malika Andrews can teach us anything about sports. 🚮
And they can’t hold a candle to ESPN so both can still exist
@@demedusaacademyexactly. Internet will fool you. ESPN has and will be around. Simple.
Shout out to Norris Cole …time flying..Bruh had the crispy flat top on the old 2ks lol
That shit was epic lmao

This made me have some respect for Rashad McCants. He was as real and honest as he could ever be. He didn't blame Khloe for what happened to his career...he BLAMED HIMSELF! Bravo, and much respect for that.
My man said "no longer the king, I'm a messenger now" 🤴🏿
Was just thinkin the same. He been on point as of late
When I was in the army guys who got kicked out blamed the 1st Sgt,the CO,etc,etc,..but,never took responsibility for their own bad decisions and mistakes. Then there was the personality who thought they could do whatever they wanted with no consequences. What's really strange more guys than women got kicked out the army ,really-STRANGE.
14:02 this is the most accountability I’ve ever heard him have for his career going the way it did. Salute
Real deal holyfield. This one of the first time I've heard him be this brutally honest about his career in the pros. I respect the hell out of it
FACTS!!!!!! never heard him be so candid, respect to Shad
Nah. He said before his goal was the wurk on past a past episode

Norris best addition to the show
We in the Mccants character arc rn
Norris spitting facts
That was UD in Miami. One reason they made deep runs in the finals. What he done BTS, locker room, film room and practice and mentor the players
Yep!!! Real spill!
McCants you coming into your own as a speaker and a prime piece of the show . Keep getting better bro . 🤝
Facts I actually like his approach. He does give some hot takes but you already can tell he on point with his knowledge
Facts
The ability shift from incredibly funny to deeply serious is what makes this my favorite NBA show.
I think it is what it is does it better but this is a great show
I been watching lately and actually starting to notice that
This is the first time Mccants shared some wisdom, hopefully this continues.
Whenever he dresses a little bit normal, his takes are good.
It won't

Rashad has a lot of wisdom to offer when he’s not trying to be too cool. He could help a lot of younger hoopers. He was somebody who was close to on top of world coming out of college, had the fame, a famous girl.
Seeing black men talking in such a positive manner is always rewarding to see.
This one the realest conversations not only about basketball but about everyday life.
Rashad, I appreciate your transparency. Nowhere near your level of success but you spoke VOLUMES to my current situation. Blessings to you all 🤝🏾🤎
Best conversation these men have had on this podcast. Real stories and real advice for the younger generation. GREAT ADVICE, every nba young player LISTEN UP
One of the most impactful segments that has ever been recorded!!
One of the few times McCants didnt have me scratching my head at his comments… all three of these fellas was speaking truth
13:23 for everybody in the “McCants doesn’t hold himself accountable for his career” crowd.
Hell of a segment 🔥🔥🔥
Sad guy 😢 I've been looking everywhere trying to find something anything 😕 where the king did something wrong to him, I can't find nothing. 😊
Well it was said for a reason lol. It’s a year deep into this show & this is the first time I’ve seen him being this candid. He should’ve been this candid during the Pat Bev situation
@@slimthugga1 hahaha wait, so you don’t think he was being candid during the Pat Bev episode because you don’t agree with what McCants was saying? This show gives outsiders a look into what goes on behind the scenes on a daily basis which is probably one of the reasons for the show’s success in its first year. You implying McCants wasn’t being candid during that situation as if you have info that neither of two dudes that were actually there did is funny
Just gained so much respect for McCants 🔥 takes a grown ass man to say what he said on this popular a platform🐐🐐🐐
I ain’t gone lie Mccants definitely learned a lil bit being in the media more 💯 mindset is changed and he talking that talk
Raw and true stories without ego. When it's authentic we respect it...and this was authentic
Some of the stuff spoken on in this segment can literally translate into entrepreneurship, great stuff guys
This was a great show. GREAT QUALITY CONTENT.
I shared it with my son.
I taught him to set goals as a teenager.
Now, he is a successful entrepreneur.
Setting Goals are important!
On some real shit, they just gave a million dollars worth of game. This was much appreciated, ima have to watch this again
Man, this segment is the best I've seen so far. Everyone's take was on point
I feel like all the former players with these outstanding platforms should come together to give Disney and Fox a run for their money. This is real journalism and the best way imo to bring the fan base into the player experience. Salute yall
This was 1 of the best segments. Nothing but gems and facts
They was a very vulnerable episode ! Norris cole a good add on
This was one of the most important conversations and can be applied to so many avenues!
Yes, it applies to real life
Gil tryna fulfill what kob asked him to do for impacting the new gen but in his own way, great vid
This was one of the realest episodes ever. This is why I love you guys. Keep up the good work.
best 29 mins I spent on youtube all week
Had the 29 secs on xxnx
Well said, Norris..Now that's a VET👊🏾
Thanks Norris
This is SOLID content! I've always wondered about the mentality of a vet and the value they bring to a team. Thank you guys for the incite.
These guys are making an impact! Kudos here!!!
When you can sit and just listen, and be informed.
Pure quality 💯💯
I greatly appreciate the segment 💯💯💯
Salute to all parties involved 🙏🏾
Wonderful content Gil
this was a life conversation.
Norris Cole adds championship mentality to the show he should be a regular
This is game, that is bigger than basketball. This stuff can be used for all walks of life. Good shit 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Been saying this for a while. Vets are like extra coaches and mentors.
This is probably one of the best segments in the show
It’s a respect level for the game that demonstrates your love for it. It’s no different than any other relationship. There’s times that you don’t want to talk to your mom/wife/husband/kids/friend but you respect and love them enough to not bring that negative energy to them. A job is no different. A sport is no different. Just because you are doing what you love doesn’t mean you’re always gonna love doing it. Love it enough to respect it enough to “fake it” when you need to get past your own feelings
This the most sense Rashad has made in a while
Everybody was passionate about how the vets should help with the growth of the younger players and this was a beautiful segment💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
I think they should have their own Rookie Symposium and invite Rookie's to come listen and ask questions. This was strong. Non-NBA life lessons were in here too. Wow.
Amazing conversation. We need more like this.
💯 love this conversation!!
Great for all walks of life
This is probably the best episode that you are have ever had this was really good love how you guys we're really realistic about yourselves
This conversation can be applied to life.
Wow I love this segment. I was waiting for someone to say just like anything else in life. I really needed this I’m 29 wish I would’ve heard this at 18.
This was a great segment.
Made me think about the overtime that Al Horford puts in on the Celtics, who are a very, very young team. Like, sure, it's astonishing he can still show up and drop 10/12 with 4 assists and 3 stocks, off the bench, or starting, but having someone who knows how to be a player, how to live, how to eat, how to train for a LONG career - and who is obviously extremely invested in sharing that knowledge - is his probably greatest contribution to the team. Everyone in green for the last few years is a better pro, better for the league, bc of Horford. His value cant be overstated.
Best segment i have seen on this pod!
Ya'll talking basket ball, but this is life!!!!!!! Thank you Gil for growing into your Truth!! I have always been a Fan, and I have been waiting on your Words to help our brothers.....
Them fellas was straight cooking 🗣️🗣️🗣️😤😤😤💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 I was told that year’s ago PLAY THE GAME UNITL YOU DONT HAVE TO ANYMORE!!!
This was an amazing conversation!!
One of the best segments from Gil's arena yet
It’s true sometimes you only get one chance … And you got one opportunity to make a first impression
Love this segment of the show ❤
Mccants becoming a super OG!! Spittin in this segment
Great segment, they kept it real in keeping it too real and that’s real 🤟🏽
Great convo, alot of gems that transcend basketball
Good Conversation 👏👏 This Was Dope To Listen To
Got to give credit where it’s due, Rashad McCants has gotten better with his takes and overall talking. I couldn’t stand him when this podcast first started.
This was my favorite segment of this podcast. Grown men speaking about the importance of humility. Having ability to take off th veneer if the tough guy to become more approachable more marketable. Building bridges and creating relationships in order further ones own professional career. Taking the younger generation under the wing to hopefully protect them from themselves. The NBA is a microcosm of the macrocosm. These same behaviors need to be taught outside of basketball and implemented in regular life. The lack of these conversations is the reason for the disconnect between generations. This conversation shows the importance of men and the guidance that elders can bring to make the exof the youth easier. Yes the traps will always be there but at least someone that's already been down the road can tell what to look for.
Excellent video
That was a dope segment
way to keep it real and what young players have to do... not just to get to league but to stay in the league.
Great segment
Excellent conversation and completely agree with them. This is true is all work situations, professional athlete or not. Give respect and get respect. Strive to be better tomorrow, than you were yesterday.
Very important segment 🙌🏾🙌🏾
Amazing Segment
Great segment guys
A lot of gems on this one💎
Very powerful convo.
Very good quality all around as far as the whole discussion goes. A lot of the discussion correlates wether it’s white or blue collar type of work.
This is what Jordan Poole needs vet on the team, to teach him how to be a leader I don’t care what anybody says about him. He is an amazing player, and he proved that he just need somebody to teach him how to be a leader.
So he didn't learn a thing or two watching Steph? Hell he even have Igoudala as his vet. Yet still didn't learn.
Great segment guys! One of the better ones in terms of real conversations is concern…. But yoo Mccants if you’re gonna wear a fitted atleast bend the brim😂😂#LetsGoYankees
This is the best show of pod I've watched
Another great episode! Something you would never get on your regular televised shows
good stuff guys... now thats teachin
This seg was HARD
Damn great convo
This segment needs to be shared across all professional sports locker rooms. Especially the NBA. These young players be needing guidance. If Ja had a credible vet to turn to or advise him he could of saved himself millions of dollars and not squandered this season from the jump.
I know they talking basketball but everybody in just life can use this knowledge.
Great conversation 🫡🫡
Gil was actually talking facts everyone was
They was absolutely cooking on this segment
Name recognition keeps fan bases too. No ones going to have any investment in a team that has all young dudes they never heard on it. PJ Brown and Sam Cassell were a big part of that 08 Celts teams playoff run. PJ came in and hit some huge shots, Sam ran the offense while Rondo was out.
It’s a byproduct of college simply being a rest stop to the pros. The market is flooded with young players so the older ones are inevitably pushed out. Jordan, Magic, Allen Iverson, Shaq all played multiple years in college. Even when Kobe & KG made the jump from high school they weren’t immediately required to be THE guy because there was a veteran presence.
This is a very sober conversation mehn!
Fav NBA pod ❤🎉
Good word from Norris Cole. The League needs to see this.
Dope episode
REALLY good segment
This is amazing!!!
Gil was dropping gems
Good discussion
This is a damn good podcast. Just flat out really damn good.
