One of my favorite films when I was in school about 1967. Outstanding! One of my neighbors grew up with Mr. Coburn in So. Cal. I remember visiting his amazing home with a silver Ferrari Dino
parked out front in the portico. An amazing, classy and intelligent gentleman, Mr. Coburn was one a kind. When he left us, they truly broke the mold.

Alex P.Coburn was originally from Nebraska but he and his family called the city of COMPTON home for a while. I for one was shocked that he lived in the city for a while.

"If he[the German Shepherd] senses hostility from you, he'll rip you apart"---LMAO!! I get such a kick out of watching this movie with its delightful humorous quaint dialog. James Coburn plays his part so well in the '60-ish vein.
And don't you just love the cheeky farce of an idea cooked up by the writer, of Flint going to Russia of all places to teach ballet given Russia's fine tradition and history of producing great ballet talent.

I was 3 years old in 1966 and did not achieve a full awareness of things like tv movie shows around me ..but of the 1970s I see it having better moral life the decades up to like today .. We have messed up 'morality' today and also no time given to think in society in general ..too fast paced too much today sadly . People are stealing stuff out of one's hands while you grasp it with the hands ( serious ) . New crime wave .. other than taking purses for long . 1:47:42

I grew up watching these films when I was a kid , and though it was over the top camp but the message was pretty clear about values . Values about being free off tyranny and values about how to treat woman. People fight for different things , and here Derick shows the things that he treasures the most , namely those beautiful girls. It's what every red blooded American males dream , myself included. It was the reason we painted these bomb shells on the sides of our planes as a constant reminder of what we were fighting to come home to . The spirit of flint still lives on in me till this day in my sense of love for my country and those beautiful woman that make it worth it. And anyone that says america is so terrible , than you can go live on that island .

I recorded it from my P..C.,, This movie on Y.T. Put it as my ring tone for my work. LOL. !! Also put the Halloween theme as a default for possible Robocalls or basic default calls for unknown numbers. Just learning how to use the phone. Joined up with Consumers Cell... The spy spoof genre was popular back then and included the Matt Helm series with Dean Martin as the star spy. Some of the silly and semi-silly TV series spy films included Get Smart, The Avengers, Danger Man and I Spy. I saw this film and its successor, In Like Flint, in the movies where I was working a part-time job as an usher in a movie theater when I was in high school.

I remember watching this film when I was a kid, amazing stuff, ah those were the days, Flint was like an American Simon Templar, aka The Saint, but with a bit of Bond & Steed for good measure. Flint could also put himself into a coma state to trick his enemies into thinking he was dead, then the winder on his wrist watch would extend & pulsate on his wrist to start his heart, proper corny but great fun.

this is a 1966 film, same year the remake of the Ten Commandments.
      the actor as Moses was:
      H- - - - TON
am 100% sure or one zillion percent sure that people in this world will fill the blanks incorrectly !!!!
Take note that the original was 1956 by Paramount.
the 1966 Ten Commandments by Columbia, so that would be very clear that the actor of the 1966 TC is not the actor of the 1956 TC
and not one of the entire cast if the 1956 TC reprise their roles in the 1966 remake ,most especially Fraser Heston who played the infant Moses in the 1956 TC., as he would be 10 years old in 1966,so another infant was used used in the 1966 TC, and you might guess that he is the son of the actor surnamed H....TON.
please take note there are 4 blanks between H and TON...

James Co-Burn up the charts!!! This can't be a spy "spoof"! It's way too cool! James Coburn is like Leonard Nimoy with more class and less seriousness about himself. His Flint is the Original International Man of Mystery with better moves and increased mojo! In fact...who the hell is 007? Coburn rocks! (RIP James Coburn, in real life a professional and a true gentleman.)

This was Twentieth Century Fox in its prime in the 1960s, and this was an amazingly fun studio, back when their Television division was run by William Self, and the "FLINT" movies, despite their intentions to compete with United Artists' 007 movies, was still inferior, with both "FLINT" and The Matt Helm movies from Columbia Pictures, these spy adventures still had some punch, but as of our present time of March 20, 2019, Twentieth Century Fox officially became the property of The Walt Disney Company, thanks in part, to the stupidity of Rupert Murdoch's greed, this studio is now in the hands "The House Of Rat" and their collected assets (Marvel, Lucasfilm, and ABC) and with over a half century of 20th Century Fox, everything they've done is now owned by Disney, who's moviemaking in our present time is reduced to inferior remakes from their own animated library while Marvel movies are their top money makers, the history of Fox now faces great changes!

Our Man Flint is one of the best spy spoofs ever made. James Coburn is super cool as Derek Flint, an expert in all fields. He can make himself appear dead, he has a cigarette lighter with 83 functions, he teaches ballet, he's a martial arts expert, and of course he has his own personal harem. James Coburn was pretty cool in real life as well, he was personally trained in martial arts by Bruce Lee. Austin Powers was a funny film, but Mike Myers has nothing on James Coburn.

PTAblues ... James Coburn and Steve McQueen were both students of Bruce Lee and if u see the way he took down the two faked guards near the elevator was classic Jeet Kun Do... But I do like Austin powers too ... In fact he used the same red phone presidential ring tone in his 1997 movie a spoof of all spy secret agent movies including this one and Dean Martins Matt Helms and James Bond ...

The character that James Coburn played in the film was like that of an hyperactive kid, collecting skills & knowledge with the same fever that some collectors exhibit for coins, postage stamps or fine art. And he operated with a fine sense of independence, he did not bow to self proclaimed authority.
