The trick I use to make a wood floor structure safe for putting a fire on the floor is a clay base with flat stones on top. The clay layer needs to be proportionally thick relative to the size and intensity of the fires you burn. For wood as thick as your wrist you want 2 inches of clay. I don't recommend burning anything thicker than your bicep (on a 4 inch clay base). Keep some water handy just in case.
I was thinking the same thing. I also disagree with putting moss on top of the plastic roof material. It's going to dry out and fall off. It looks good for the video but it's worthless otherwise. There are better roof options, both for waterproofing and for finishing.
Every time when you go out to the nature to the Forest, to the jungles, to the lakes, rivers, the ocean and even to the desert please respect mother earth.... We natives have respected since the early days, make sure you look to the 4 cardenal points of mother earth (North, South, East and West) and give thanks for the stuff you're taking from it, wether it's a fish, a deer or yes even timber make sure you look up and say "Thank you for providing me with the things I needed the most to survive in this environment" and if you can whenever you go back to that place plant a flower or tree and keep everything going around like a cycle, at the end you'll be feeling good inside and you'll never have evil spirits around you....
Beautiful comment! Gratitude is so vital to our souls and to our spirit and so many dont understand the importance sadly. I prefer the inner gratitude of spirit. As I work, move through life, hike, etc, I offer gratitude through mental thanks and praise. Too many people today offer gratitude through voice and through deeds seen by others. All too much we see folks trying to show others their gratitude instead of allowing our spirit to be that channel of gratitude. Thank you so much for you beautiful comment. I see so many folks get so negative in comment sections of UA-cam and other platforms and I must say, its so refreshing to see such a beautiful comment. Thank you. 🙏🏻🙌🏻
What a bunch of drivel. Life your life and let no one push their morality on you regarding dancersfrogg comment above. Just like organized religion...great for the person following but beware when they push those beliefs on you.
Don't think it's necessarily a belief, as much as it means to take care of what you have and you have it longer. Ya know the stuff parents should have taught their kids.
It’s all about what you design and build from what’s out there. Only thing I see that’s not what I would do is tying to a tree. The wind could break his shelter. New gear means he is thinking ahead. Nothing wrong with that. 😊
Im worndering how that thin plastic used for the roof waterproofing held up to the heat of the camp stove? That stuff melts under the slightest abmount of heat. I personally would have used a regular green tarp for durability and less chance of warp and holes from the camp stove. But I do wonder how that thin plastic held up to the heat of the chimney and stove.
What is this tree called Or Christmas tree Or just a Christmas family tree Beautiful jungle wonderful Farther get all good peoples doing shelters work. What is that sound I heard it look like some one shorting a gun behind there are mine hunting animals. Nice place God blessings
Nowhere does the video say that he lives out there nor Homestead out there! So why wouldn’t wear his new clothes have new supplies he’s only showing you how to do it and built. Duh.
hello there.... i am one of your new follower from california usa, i am just wondering have you encountered venomous snake and how do you deal with it, and also mosquitoes how do you handle them. take care, and make more fun videos, i love watching your channel.
um hey friend just a pointer if you turn your hatchet upside down in the air after you get the head on there then hold the handle and wack the bottom of the handle so your axe will drive the handle into the head you will literally hit it like a nail it walk the head upward it will wedge that head on so tight but that's the proper way to have a better result hitting the head is not as efficient try it
Me and my husband been talking about this he looks like you got to treat not which is Bigfoot be good to him giving something to eat and he will leave you alone as long as you take care of him too
Trotzdem ein Like
What is it about nails that makes me want to avoid using them? I'm fine with using wire... I laughed when you got spooked by the crackling noise and _put your knife away._ you have two hands. Put a weapon in each if you think you're in danger.

The sound that you heard was not just a buzzing in your head NO. That was another UA-camr bushcrafting in the woods now. And if there is going to be soo many of you they're going to make you put addresses on them.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 You may have to stamp it on a rock. And if you don't then the mailman will just keep on a roll. THERE WILL EITHER BE A ROCK OR A ROLL O,O,OLL
I'm gonna build a tree stand like that. Thanks for the good video. Hunting just got a lot better. Just kidding. I do more walking than sitting. But it's a good idea. I'll keep it in mind.
Not to nitpick, I Love your work ,but is there a reason you needed to get off the ground? Also you sure used alot of nails.Ever heard of rope? Lastly I noticed all of your tools looked brand new.?
Even if his tools were brand new...so what!😂 that means absolutely nothing! Old or new, he's making a temporary shelter. The age of his "tools" makes no difference!
Take care my friend
Video yang bagus saudaraku, 💚
Very good brother 👍👍
The dish looks simple but delicious, I wish you good health

great, excellent, wonderfull ❤
Hi, it was interesting🍁🍁🍁
Great job
I would love to see you camp in this amazing hut during the winter.
It’s all about what you design and build from what’s out there. Only thing I see that’s not what I would do is tying to a tree. The wind could break his shelter. New gear means he is thinking ahead. Nothing wrong with that. 😊
The best ❤
i've learned a lot from this! Thank you! Very relaxing/informative to watch. Where are you from? Where is this forest?
I think on the roof, I would have put a roof of trees and then add the moss. But what he did worked well
you are great

What kind of woodstove is that?

Point loads. That back left corner is bearing weight on only two nails.
How long did you stay here?
What kind of shovel is that?
What is this tree called Or Christmas tree Or just a Christmas family tree
Beautiful jungle wonderful
Farther get all good peoples doing shelters work. What is that sound
I heard it look like some one shorting a gun behind there are mine hunting animals. Nice place
God blessings
You should have a dog with you 🐈
UA-cam has gotten pretty annoying playing ads every 5 minutes, interrupting what I'm watching. Stop it!
Did anybody else find this painful to watch , i liked his idea , just not the construction
That’s good!!! Make it Bigfoot proff. Lol 😂. Love it brother.
Thanks for the nice sharing, your support is very valuable to me. 🤝🔥🏕️
I watch this video 2X 😅
Oh it was Bigfoot, Bigfoot lol. Thanks for the video
15:41 Spaß muss sein!

What do you think you heard in the Forrest? Was it a bear? Couldn’t see the scat that well. Let’s hope it wasn’t a Yeti….
Toma cuidado com o pé grande o xasquate

Can literally hear the motorway
My bug out camp is a mile in the woodland. Completely isolated. I can hear the Motorway and the boats in Lake Champlain. #Colonization
Oh ❤❤😂
23:36 😅 "Runter von meinem Kletterturm!"
18:29 p.o.v just left of center - I see a bear between the trees (looks like a round hinde end).. wow 😮
Sandy soil so its easy to dig.
Too bad he left his new hatchet handle at home.
i think i could buid my house this way in the middle of a coffee plantation
Okay

Bears climb trees, if you want to avoid bears just move to the moon.
Only aliens there.
Hmmm aliens ?

2.14 plz don't ever do that again That was scary to watch
Why because he "bought gear" to go out and build a shelter?? I buy gear when i go fishing, hiking or camping...

Every thing he has is brand new, from cooking utensils to his stove to what he is wearing, something dose not add up.
So
KGB operation.
It’s probably cuz he’s sponsored by outdoor gear company but who knows
Who cares? Better than half the other crap on UA-cam.
Or he takes care of his gear far better than you. 😂😂😂

Wrong. Using plastic and nailing to live trees is wrong.
Ew, plastic?
🏕👍🏻
I'm gonna build a tree stand like that. Thanks for the good video. Hunting just got a lot better. Just kidding. I do more walking than sitting. But it's a good idea. I'll keep it in mind.
