(First you need to learn vowel harmony) verbs finishes with -Mek -mak bilmek-know yemek-eat açmak-open . In simple present tense you remove -mek -mak and put -r . O kapıyı açar. (She opens the door ) (in Turkish you put Verb at the end of the sentence ) but as I told you have to learn Vowel harmony to understand logic of the grammar

You remove mek /mak + then choose correct” ir ect “ + then person maker depend on the subject

      Vowel harmony in a nutshell:
There are two different vowel harmony systems in Turkish, that I know of:
      1) The simplest system is the two-ways vowel harmony, because you choose between two options: either a or e. As a is a hard* vowel, it is chosen when the preceding vowel is a hard vowel (a, ı, o, u); whereas e is a soft* vowel, chosen when the preceding vowel is a soft vowel (e, i, ö, ü). So:
      Preceding vowel Way
      -------------------------------------------------------
      a (hard) a
      ı (hard) a
      o (hard) a
      u (hard) a
      e (soft) e
      i (soft) e
      ö (soft) e
      ü (soft) e
      -------------------------------------------------------
Example: if the last vowel in the verbal root is o, we will use mak, not mek, as infinitive suffix.
      2) The other system is the four-ways vowel harmony, so called because you choose between four options: ı, i, u, ü. Here, you not only classify vowels as hard or soft, but also as unrounded (a, e, ı, i) or rounded (o, ö, u, ü). You choose the option which is closer to the preceding vowel, that is, has the same properties of roundness and hardness/softness, as follows:
      Preceding vowel Way
      -------------------------------------------------------
      a (hard, unrounded) ı
      ı (hard, unrounded) ı
      o (hard, rounded) u
      u (hard, rounded) u
      e (soft, unrounded) i
      i (soft, unrounded) i
      ö (soft, rounded) ü
      ü (soft, rounded) ü
      -------------------------------------------------------
Which system, whether none, two- or four-ways, depends on the specific kind of suffix to be used and on other traits. For example, for pluralizing, it is almost always the two-ways, and, for verbal conjugation, it depends on the tense and whether the verbal root has one syllable or more, whether it ends in a consonant or in a vowel, what person and what number, whether positive or negative, etc.
Example: -r when the verbal root ends in a vowel, it is the easiest case; if in a consonant, and is one syllable, the two-ways harmony (-ar, -er); if consonant-ending verbal root with more than one syllable, the four-ways harmony (-ır, -ir, -ur, -ür).
      ___________
[* hard and soft are the words used in this video to classify vowels. Others will classify them as back and front vowels, respectively, for the place where they are pronounced in the mouth, or even use more technical words.]
