If I remember correctly, after the last class update they pretty much just straight up said in an official statement “Yeah, these updates are not working out AT ALL so we’re not going to do them anymore and instead take our time on each individual champions rework so we don’t do a half-assed job.” So we’re definitely never going to see another class update ever again.
I don't know why they thought it was a good idea to begin with. Even at that point they didn't have a good track record for well balanced reworks. They also were showing that lots of changes all on top of one another was not easy to balance and often not healthy for the game. They had that problem with preseason item and jungle changes. Asking players to readapt to the game (especially after the season 5 fiasco) and half a dozen new champions over night was just a very odd call. Can you imagine if they released reworked Pantheon, Mordekaiser, Akali, and Irelia all over night and called it the top class rework? lmao

The problem with class rework is that they don't have enough time. If some magic happen and they can make every single rework as quality as a full on VGU. They for sure will do that
I think ADC was the same case in terms of items, they wanted to take away power from them and shift it into supporst and in the process the role become even today no more than a glorified cannon minions compared with the options that other champions have and the influence in the game from other rolls.
What annoyed me the most about the assassin update was that they didnt make a VS event for KhaZix and Rengar. Literally one of the biggest missed opportunities in league. Totally not a salty Kha main 😂
@@glitch6996 if a rengar and khazix are in the same game, I think after a certain number of kills an event pops up and either rengar or khazix needs to kill the other to get an extra upgrade.
@@glitch6996 if rengar has 5 teeth in his necklace and kha has 3 evolves, both of them reached lvl 16 (i know it kinda repeats itself in Kha's case) and game passes 35 min mark, the Hunt begins and the one who gets first kill/assist on the other gets huge buff for the rest of the game. Kha gets 4th evolve and Rengo gets Kha's head which counts as another tooth in necklace and upgrading ad bonus to (i believe) 40%. edit: if your "what? lol" wasn't responce to a fact that they have an easter egg and rather to a conclusion that they don't need event then I'm dumb and we will all live with that.
Damn, I miss reworked LeBlanc. I loved the sound effect of that Q bounce poke and the possibilities. She really felt like a mage assassin instead of just being a stat-check instant killing machine. I can't stand current LeBlanc.
She also felt like a trickster as she was intended to from her release. Instead we got the "i one shot you and escape without a scratch" back. I hate the reverted leblanc. She is just as unfun as blitz. Unfun to play against and a one trick pony combo.
true. your only mobility skill is your wave clear too, i mean it's very crucial when to use. just bring back her rework ultimate without the global mimic and her rework passive but her chain isn't included with that passive effect.
Man... thank you for this, I loved the reworked version of LB. She was the very first champion that made me feel I had options to play with and be creative. They just had to move the numbers and cut some overloaded spells and she could've been a success
she wouldve been fine if they just made her q on multiple targets a proper aoe ability so it would only be 33% effective and made her e not proc her passive by itself so only make the first part of her e apply the passive but the root shouldnt proc it like exil said and they couldve just made her r the old r with the most recently used ability instead of whichever one you choose but i dont think that was that broken tho
Well then, they wouldn't have much of a reason to release NEEKO then. Tricky riot know the only thing people love from that "Rework" was the mimic thing, so why keep it on a brain dead champion and not building a whole new champ base around that mimic idea and called it a day

@@Mickey1012_ I played alot of pantheon. He was one of my mains and the first champ I got a skin for (waaaay back in S1 when you had to buy cards from the store) He does not at all play the same. Toward the end I was almost exclusively using him as an engager and building him very tanky. He is not a good tank now and it's because his E is so strong. Honestly would prefer they just remove the damage immunity aspect from it because that's almost never worked out for them in a basic ability but... That ability does make him a great engager. You're just more screwed if your engagement is off by a second or 2 or there's some CC you didn't account for. I've played... maybe 20 PVP games with him since his rework and as I get the hang of him I enjoy him more for what he is. His flow is a little different. You don't just charge in and mash your buttons and auto attack until thing dies. He has a in and out flow that is, honestly, much more in line with champions of his sort. The squishy brawler. And of course his Q is not the reliable poke it once was but I'm finding I actually enjoying needing to get closer to trade at the potential cost of more than just mana (that was the main reason old panth was so heavily nerfed to begin with - point and click abilities don't have a good track record either...) I absolutely hated it the first few times I played it. Hated it so much. But he is really fun when you start to get down how to use him. Pantheon was my main for Dominion too. RIP both.

I remember old Heimer, with two turrets and aoe slow hp recovery thanks to it's pasive. I REALLY liked that Heimer because of its brain dead W. Old W was 3 missiles that would attack the nearest enemy to Heimer, having priority to champions. Not many people liked it, but I loved it, because it made me just bully my enemy laner just spaming w and watching my step, while my turrets both cs and defended my back in case of ganks. I even used flash ghost at the time that flash ignite was meta (before was ghost and promote, but we all know what happened there). Man, I really miss that brain dead ability to just move around your opponent while it tried to skill shot you. Good times.
@@xXCrashTXx-1 The time when after activating ult, your basic abilities now also costs HP whenever u cast basic abilities, was the first ever champ I got confident getting early Mejais even not knowing if its a good matchup or if they're good or bad, and camp in their jungle, once I have ult its just kills after kills
Honestly.... reworked LeBlanc was SO MUCH fun I stopped playing her at all when they reverted her. But oh well, at least I have Katarina so I´m kinda satisfied.
I stopped playing her when they tried changing her to more of a poke mage than an assassin, but always loved the new LeBlanc, I did have a bit of fun with current LeBlanc, but her lack of wave clear makes her too difficult to play often gravitating myself to play kat instead
I feel like they could've at least kept the clone spawning on her mimics as it was not the most problematic thing on her but instead allowed her a tool to deceive people. While I do like the current Leblanc's kit more, I just wish we could have kept those clones or put the ult mimic on her passive, just to give her some deception tools. I thoroughly enjoyed hearing someone paint rework Leblanc in a positive light. I have been playing League of Legends since before original Leblanc's release in November 2010 and have played her continuously all throughout the years. That being said, in all my time of playing League, I think reworked Leblanc takes the number #1 spot of being the most fun I've ever had. Not before and never since have I felt so powerful and fluid with a champion (a close contender might be reworked Akali). She was so versatile and it felt like she had an option no matter which situation she was faced it. To me, it was mind-boggling when soon after her rework, mains and other players started calling her "clunky". In fact, in my eyes her rework full-on unshackled her potential and I truly could not grasp how anyone could think that not being forced into mimicking her last spell was clunky or awkward to play. I believe it was the inflexibility of old Leblanc mains to adjust to her newfound role. Whereas before her lategame goal was to blink in and blow up a squishy carry or at least damage them enough to remove them from the fight, now carries (especially ADCs) were not her best target anymore since staying within range of a full-item adc for 1,5 sec to let the passive cook was in most cases a death-sentence to Leblanc herself. Where she lost lategame carry killing prowess, she made up for in being an insanely good control mage who repeatedly dealt heavy damage even to the tanky frontline while being extremely elusive, all the while not even relying on her ultimate (which reminds me that I almost always enjoyed when they moved an assassin's damage to their passive - Leblanc, Katarina, Akali - making it more readily available). Simply getting her mark on the carries forced them to fall back, because Leblanc had the option of spreading her sigil by hitting the frontline. I could go on forever, as her gameplay became so multi-faceted, but let's just say I very much loved it. I had always enjoyed Leblanc, even way before her rework, but her revert actually became the biggest tragedy I've had to witness in League's history. It is such a waste of potential and I simply can't enjoy the reverted Leblanc as I had before, knowing what she was capable of and how versatile and flexible she used to be.
Litteraly me. I played Leblanc so much b4 the rework, but once she was reworked and then reverted, i couldnt play her anymore. It became all to apparant how limited and quite frankly braindead she was by comparison to the rework Leb that i simply was not satisfied playign her anymore. And from what i can tell, many people are in the same boat. Lebs play rate is so low these days, even compared to her play rate b4 the rework.
As a long time LB player I can tell you that, in theory, the reworked version of Leblanc was more versatile. However, in practice, she was more one dimensional than ever before. The huge issue was her E was TOO STRONG but it had to be because her W's identity was changed (for balancing reasons) to primarily being a passive applier and not an AOE dmg dealing spell. And while her global mimic was cool... sometimes....most times it was gimmicky or an extra blue trinket at worst. Not to mention the clone coming out when you casted your ult during the middle of combat was kinda unsatisfying and awkward looking. Imo it looked kinda stupid and didnt really fool anyone. I think its interesting to see the different perspectives on the rework. I've heard people say she was harder after rework and I just dont understand that. I think she was the easiest to consistently get wins on after rework...making her easier. Now I think it's actually super difficult to solo carry on current version of LB. Making a win way more satisfying. You have to play PERFECTLY to actually win the game. Otherwise you'll just be a fed gal watching your nexus explode in the end.
@@ChaddyFantome Its a low play rate not because shes boring or braindead. Its because shes not a good Soloq pick. In fact, I'd argue it's because she's NOT braindead that she has a lower pick rate. You have to play the game perfectly and precisely to win now. Not the case with reworked LB. There's a reason why I hit diamond during her rework and I can only hit high plat now. It's because she was way easier to win on after rework because she was actually BROKEN. Now shes pretty kinda difficult to carry on unless you gave jg duo/q
Your video about how LeBlanc's old mains felt that her assassin identy was changed to being a burst mage after her rework really reminded me that it's the same reason why all Ahri veterans complain about Ahri and pretty much every Ahri player has posted their own versions of Ahri reworks on reddit every other day: the champion's play style has been completely changed despite no major ability rework and having good win rate all along. What Ahri was about in Season 3 4 5 and why people liked playing her: dash in, hit your skillshots, reposition, dash out with a kill. But with DFG she could kill enemies with W and R without hitting E, which was followed by the removal of DFG and damage nerfs on Ahri's base abilities and scaling. So Riot reworked her into this utility support midlaner, especially with Glacial Augment GLP and Everfrost: you use your slows and E to provide CC to help your team get kills, use R to run away and avoid being caught, basically a mobile CC provider that never dies, and when being even or insignificantly ahead, Ahri's entire combo will not kill anyone, and no matter how fed, Ahri will deal the least damage than any mage or assassin with the same items, which would have been balanced since if Ahri has ult, nobody can kill her, and it's fair that she can't kill anyone either. However, since her mobility is on her ult, she has the least accessible mobility with the longest cool down out of all assassins, and the lowest AP scaling out of all mages, the reality is that at a certain point of the game, while she can't kill anyone, anyone can one-shot her before she can dash 3 times away regardless if she has if off cool down or not. Since her ult saves her from mis-positioning and being caught, Ahri still had 52% win rate (but with Glacial Augment, GLP, Twin Shadows. Her win rate with Electrocute, Luden's and etc was 48% if you look), so for the same reason Lulu and Sona had 53% win rate at some points, not by doing damage and killing enemies but by providing utilitites with slows and CC to help her team make picks and win. So for a long time (mainly Season 8 9 10), we just have this situation in which Ahri veterans stubbornly trying to play her as this damage dealer/assassin but dealing the weakest damage and getting automatically outscaled no matter how ahead, while the rest of the players complaining about her broken win rate. It's just that her play style has completely changed from what her mains wanted to play. But with S11 changes it seems like Ahri's damage is finally on-par with other mages, but since she was already very balanced without the damage, her win rate is now shooting up again. She even appeared in LEC for the first time in years, I won't be surprised if Riot removes the charm damage amp or W movement speed again.

There's a reason the Aatrox main reddit has decided to jokingly "rename" the current Aatrox to Boris, because they managed to completely change 100% of his kit, leaving nothing from the old champion. And what's insult to injury, with the buffs Aatrox received just before his rework, he became a fully functional super fun and balanced champion. They effectively deleted Aatrox.
@@Shirae looks like i started playing at just the point aatrox got reworked, so what was he like? from what i can see, he was somewhat of an auto attacker who survived through lifesteal. the lifesteal seems to still be there, but maybe it is not as emphasized now?
@@Underworlder5 a very short tldr: Q was his 3rd q but amped up (higher range and mire knock up). W was a toggle ability where he either healed for a bit every 3rd auto or damaged himself a bit tobdeal more damage on the 3rd auto. His E was a small ray from his sword. His ult made him bigger and he has more basic attack iirc. His passive was "Blood well". Every spell costed a bit of health and that health was pooled. When his blood well was full he was able to get revived when he died. And the fuller the blood well, the higher his attack speed. It was a really enjoyable jungler and a decent toplaner just before his rework. Old Aatrox was an auto attacking beast, new one is much more reliant on spells. His entire playstyle did a complete 180. He basically went from Jax to Riven overnight.
@@Shirae yeah, i just watched the video on aatrox. strange how a champ changed completely the instant he became viable and people began to take him seriously. then again, i never saw old aatrox, and i like new aatrox, so not sure where i fit in the discussion
Old aatrox SUCK, zero wave clear, no poke, passive too situational, an ultimate that weaker than even the most weakest NORMAL ABILITY of any champion in game. Old aatrox can't counter anyone on top.
I think a pre rework Poppy video could be a really interesting topic, her passive and ult were something the likes of which League hasn't seen anything else like.
Damn I loved the reworked lb so much. She was definitely way more interesting etc. I agree if they had just changed Gunblade etc and given her a more linear game she would have been fine. I'd almost wonder if they could have two versions of Leblanc in the game at the same time? Like LeBlanc; the Deciever and LeBlanc; the Empress or something... Basically add a new champion and make the visuals really clear. Final note, nothing was better than the ARAM cheese of RR onto the enemy health relic, no it wasn't too effective, but it was such fun mind games
Everyone loved reworked lb because she was better. Period. It wasn't much about the game play mechanics involved, she was straight up overpowered. Could have eaten a -20% ap scaling on all her abilities, she'd still be way too good
@@Ersilay yes she was overpowered, but don't forget the period at the end where riot had the q bounce down to 30% damage to minions and heavily hit all her ap ratios... She wasn't that good then. Also at least there was some counterplay to her with the 1.5 second delay, now it's just a pure stat check, if she has enough AP/M.Pen to kill you you die, if you don't she does nothing
I loved the reworked lb... Too many noobs on reddit crying that they were unable to make combos. But the R was giving so much flexibility. Double R on the top lane could easily burn flash of enemy top lane making him easy target for ganks. Push was nice. Man this was awesome :D

@@petrohex the reason Lee sin gets very few if any nerfs is cause he is the second most popular champion in the game, yasuo being the first. Why do you think lux gets a buff evry other patch. They have to sell these skins. Only if they destroy the meta will they get a nerf but not the same as every support nerf that kill champions. It will be just enough that people will still play the without too much complains for nerfing their favourite toy.

I’ve been late in viewing alot of my favorite youtuber’s contents since the quarantine because i had to move away from my family due to work and mobile service from where i stay at isnt all that good so its hard to get youtube vids to play, but when it does i always check your channel first even if i dont get to watch a new upload, i know i have alot to watch when time comes to go back home.
Leblanc main ever since pre rework Leblanc here. I don't think you understand why mains completely despised the rework. First off the gunblade build was a crutch on a patch that you didn't highlight in your video. Rework Leblanc had a huge nerf to her W cutting its damage in half without any compensation on her other abilities.This meant that even after getting Morellonomicon during that time wasn't enough to one shot squishies therefore she had to make a way to reliably increase her burst damage in just a single item thus gunblade became her go to first item and lich bane her second item. These items had 0 synergy with her kit besides GB slow but it also gave her other sources of damage without losing AP. It felt bad playing a champion without cdr on your first item and it also forced Leblanc to max Q instead of W meaning her mobility was also gated in the process thru cooldowns. Second, her R's main complaint wasn't because it allowed for more diverse combos. If you knew how to play Leblanc then even without that diversity in choices you would still be able to pull of insane outplays. That diversity wasn't welcome at all because it was a gate between people trying out a champ and those who truly main her. The main complaint on her R was because of how it added a form of clunkiness to a once smooth kit. Pre rework Leblanc had no form of delays whatsoever when trying to kill squishies. When she was reworked, on top of her cook time it also added another button to her kit. In order to activate a Mimic spell you had to press 2 buttons instead of one R>W R>E or R>Q unlike her old one which you only needed to press R to activate the last ability. This all added up to a extremely clunky kit that needed Gunblade, Lichbane, delays on W and R>W snapback , and an added button prompt on her R on top of her cook time which made Leblanc mains ask for a revert due to extreme clunkiness.
I loved the video! I've been a Leblanc main since season 4 and remember being so excited for this rework. The problem I had after it was out is she felt completely different than the current version of LB. I love how quick the current LB plays getting the QRW off feels so good. With the rework, it took the damage away from W and made it just basically utility which is fine, but made her try to stay more on the backline and honestly safer. However, I didn't hate the rework, the global R was so fun and my biggest miss of the rework, plus the ability to use any ability I think if balanced could really be an okay change to use on current LB. I liked the wave clear but I think its one of the most effective ways to balance her and just maybe giving her the option to choose her ult might still help with some of her tougher matchups.
I started playing in the end of 2017, heard that leblanc was reworked but I never saw about it, after seeing this, welp, I can't help to feel a little sad, i like much more how this leblanc looks and plays, Even though I kinda enjoy the actual, idk, this one seems to fix the things that I don't like about the actual, the waveclear, possibilities of outplay and how to use the R Kinda makes me sad
Honestly I loved the reworked lb and I almost cried when they reverted her. She used to be a lot more fun in my opinion and with couple changes and nerfs she wouldnt be that overtuned.

Nah, I truly loved the reworked LeBlanc. And I know several LeBlanc mains who think the same like I do. I stopped playing her after the revert, cause the current LeBlanc is just boring and bad.

@@lexmole Alright just watchef that again and she dodged around 3 abilities with Shunpo. Yeah it may feel bad as the mage that she can do it but that's why assassins are a counter to mages and still Zhonyas exists too. Try to play Katarina into Akali/Pantheon/Yasuo/Qiyana/Diana/Heimerdinger and you'll quickly realize she isn't really stupid or easy, the vid they showed was just one of her easier matchups, still good that they didn't show Veigar or Lux for even more of those comments
2:30 Actually supports was the first role to get a class update in patch v3.14. Its included the addtion of ap ratios for utility spells on supports, removal of gold generation items and warding system rework...
The main thing that sucks about talon is how his W is very slow compare to what it was before leaving the opponent with huge counter-play options. It also sucks that he has no silence anymore which allows players to flash his combo. it may sound unfair to get 1 shot, but you have to consider that he is melee assassin and that in itself is very high risk for what is currently medium to low reward. When comparing Lablanc or say Xerath, they're also all assassins but they are assassins with far more range and relative safety.
Ages and ages ago I suggested a LeBlanc rework in the old forums, and I still maintain to this day it was the best way to tone down the champion's feast or famine while also opening up options in other lanes (like support or jungle): Just swap the Q and the passive. Have her new Q let her spawn a clone of herself that last for a few seconds and duplicates whatever ability you're casting (dealing like only a small percentage of the damage and CC duration) and then have her new passive be that she applies a mark when she hits with any spell (and the clone's spells can proc the mark). That lets you have a deceptive, Shaco-like, AP mage-assassin that can do things even when they're behind, because the clone acts as a source of additional CC and damage. You still get the cool moments of blocking skillshots with your clone and the outplays, because now the clone can also cast Distortion to fake out the enemy.
Yeah I miss LB’s reworn. Hell even the ONE person I know who played Leblanc religiously misses how she was before even though he admits the reworn made her harder I just wish the only reverted the ult interaction with using the most recent ability, and not everything else.

Joshua Ariza well he's uber gutted because snipey is almost useless other than the interaction with turrets, the urgot is almost useless to use now because the numbers have been so gutted, root gun has always been p bad (sad that it's almost the most useful part of his kit with his ult now) and infernum ult is reduced to being an auto attack instead of an ult. on release he was broken but now he's nerfed every patch beyond recognition to the point where he has LETHALITY FOR NO REASON. like wtf? he's in that sorry of a state that he has lethality now. his early game is awful and his late game isn't even worth playing him anymore. they need to nerf the turrets a tad, nerf the amount of chakra he gets and put a bit more damage into him overall for the early game. he is so bad that it isn't even funny anymore. rework severums ability and change the turrets so they're not super oppressive and give power back to his actual skill shots like calibrum and ult
Mars urgot as in his q is just urgot mode and i think he will be too weak early to the point where if aphelios is ever first picked aggressive supports will be picked and played around to the point where he will again be unviable. they need to return his early game health and move speed to make him a bit safer early so he can preserve the small niche he has in hyper scaling where he can be reliant on an ultie
These are so good, I love hearing the Riot lore and history. Any chance you'd wanna do one about my boy Singed? I've been thinking he'd make an appearance in the 'Least changed Kits' or something, but I think an investigation into his unique playstyle, Singed420's proxying gameplay, the subsequent nerfs and weird powerspikes as the runes and items changed around him, and Minishcap and some of the more recent players would be really interesting. I know he's been in the game since the beginning, and I would love to hear your in depth investigation. Keep up the great work!
Rewatching this and loving it still. I wish we had this old kit back, or at least most of its waveclear possibilities, but honestly, she needs a VGU, even if Leblanc mains disliked it. I am a Leblanc main myself, and I enjoyed it, but never had the time to actually get comfortable with that kit, but currently Leblanc still struggles so much and her auto attacks are still one of the worst ways to farm on Leblanc lol
She is, and always will be a champion that is unhealthy for the game so long as her W remains the same. Leblanc can dash into the enemy backline, press Q > R > E, one shot someone, and then just 'pop' back to safety. I like to compare her to Zed who has a very similar playstyle when it comes to achieving this. Yet I have many reasons why I don't mind Zed doing this: His Q is a skillshot. He can hit multiple Qs to be rewarded with more damage. He probably has to fit in an AA somewhere in his combo. His R damage is delayed. On the other hand, Leblanc just presses buttons and damage go boom boom. It's neither fun or interesting to play against.
@@austinrichard1473 Very untrue comparassion. 1.First of all her E is a skill shot and if she goes Q-R-E and she misses E the target wont die that simple 2. If she doesnt kill u that spell rotation she is usless for "4-6 seconds" depends on cd and maybe more, if the Zed misses his Q in his combo he can still AA lot since he is an ad champ(this works well almost until late game when he is blown up or the sustain from lifesteal on the adc's is biggger than his AA), i've died many times to zed to this combo: R-E-Righclick 3.Actually good leblanc can also fit some AA's (especially in lane phase for electorcute proc), between 2 chains etc 4.Lb dmg can also be delayed(she can E first then Q and wait for the double proc) 5.She is countered more by champions than zed. Let me explain: a squishy target(ad asasin-ad carry) can rush hexdrinker and lb will never kill them if they are on equal gold(never ever), while a mage can make seekers rush but if that zed R's and hits at least 2 Q's he can still oneshot them(he can even dps with right click asumming they are out of position with no flash). Also a fat leblanc will never deal with bruisers or tanks(a leblanc can never kill a RENE,AATROX,Darius etc) but zed can still kill them 6.Also the last part , her W is kind a semi skillshot(fizz can dodge it,yasuo's E can dodge it, vayne can dodge it, u can flash dodge it, also u can block-intterupt her W with champions like Thresh,poppy and couple of others) and she can also miss it(i've seen some bad leblancs just misjudge the distance and use W on empty space)
Fact of the matter is she is so one dimensional and her damage is very reliable. Sure she may not always kill her target but one q w on most midlaners will chunk them out enough that they will have to back or die. These trades are also rather safe as she just ws back and e's the target if need be. In teamfights her damage is enough to push someone out of the fight. Zed if he wants a good trade he at least has to hit his q and shadow q. Also his hard engage tool is his ult so he can't really jump on you unless that's up otherwise you can kite back. Theres also a bit of delay in his trading pattern
As a LeBlanc main, I really loved this ❤️ I was happy about the rework's concept but not really at how it ended up. I feel like they tried to put so much into her kit that it ended up being a bit overwhelming for both mains and other players. Even if I miss it, I like the way she is now. uwu Btw love your content!

Now noone really complains about that (maybe because of the damage) . I'm not saying she didn't kind of feel like that,but I think if it was given some time,it may have become a more useful version to the average player (ofc including some rebalancing so she actually feels nice for both sides) .

Hypothetically her change should have been a large QoL improvement - especially after watching this video - but the "proper way to play her" felt way different after the change. The R usage required double tapping spells, which caused me to bomb a lot of combos. E was OP to max both because of the passive thing mentioned here, and QW being more of a wave clear combo, etc etc. She just didn't "feel" like LB to me anymore. Which, I wholly admit is a "textural" thing, and I'd probably have adapted... except I was already losing play time. Having to re-learn my main was asking too much for the time, and put the game in the grave for me. :(
I really wish reworked LB would had just taked more nerfs instead of a flat out revert, her R was the most fun ability to ever exist in the history of LoL (for me) I loved her rework so much that I started to main her and I even got her ravenborn skin, and then... Riot just reverted her, to make her boring again. That was the moment I decided to never buy RP again, since they could just take out anything I liked at any moment. (I guess it does not really matters anymore since I only play ARAM now, but I still miss playing reworked LB)
Nice video Exil, it brings a lot of memories, I remembered how I have practiced the "old Leblanc" before the rework, watching videos and learning the abilities potential and out of the sudden, new Leblanc appeared, it was weird but fun, I enjoyed it a lot, too bad I didn't put gunblade into her kit those days, (wasn't a high elo player at the time) but mimic was a pretty fun ability, the jukes and menaces you could created even if you were not there was outstanding. But, old Leblanc came back and it was like, "oh no, party is over" I'm still a main Leblanc player and I love her, but I missed those good old days. Cheers.

And this is what prevent them from perma -roaming or perma - split pushing? How they removed Akali from toplane? Decreasing wave clear. How they decreased Pyke mid prevalence? His E doesn't do damage to minions. Why reworked lb was busted? She had safe wave clear, mobility and "delayed" burst. When they changed lb back they even specified her good wave clear as one of the problems. This is what balances them. If they didn't have this weakness, why would you ever play as a control mage?

I know you hate the champion but shaco have an interesting story from a solo q rampager to a clearly bad champion. Shaco was nerf and nerf and Riot totally destroy Ap shaco during the process and forget him for years , and shaco was designed to be play with both build . This rework was really fucking cool. I remember honestly not liking it as someone who played against it, but the few times I DID try it, I remember thinking it was like 100x more interesting and complex than most league champs at the time. It felt like a step more towards dota's direction of really cool but complex characters that took a while to really master but once you did you could make some insane plays. I kind of wish they didn't dumb her down back to old leblanc. Old leblanc was reworked for a reason, she feels so bad to play against. Now she's just shiv abusing and has waveclear again so she's back to being a menace x.x

It would make the item unplayable, akali unplayable, and likely popularize a very cancerous tank katarina build. That would result in a Liandry's nerf, and unbalance all DOT mages even more than the removal of deathfire touch. Now an entire mage rework is desperately needed, which revives Riot's old idea of reworking classes. Marksmen get the old infinity edge back (not the one you're thinking of), leblanc gets rereverted, Ryze's latest rework deals true damage, and tanks begin healing for 105% of their damage taken. In an effort to rebalance the game, Irelia loses another 5 movement speed. And the client still doesn't work. ggwp

How about an option to use either the old kit or new kit on a champion, they can start it off by introducing a new game mode where champions had their old kits.
I remember that when the assassins meta happened back them. I found out fizz as a tank was a pretty fun and being impossible to kill with 40 cdr. And lots of armor and MR.
Great video! I think the reason Lux is my favorite champion is because she has never been changed into a different champion, her kit has been the same for almost 10 years now. With all of the new stuff they've been adding and the amount of crazy overturned champions and kits in-game right now, I sincerely wonder what community thoughts are about giving back silences to assassins. I miss the original LeBlanc so much with her beautiful sigil of SILENCE!
I was the opposite lol. She was my fav champ pre rework and then she was my least, so I’m glad she’s back.
If I remember correctly, after the last class update they pretty much just straight up said in an official statement “Yeah, these updates are not working out AT ALL so we’re not going to do them anymore and instead take our time on each individual champions rework so we don’t do a half-assed job.” So we’re definitely never going to see another class update ever again.
I don't know why they thought it was a good idea to begin with. Even at that point they didn't have a good track record for well balanced reworks.
They also were showing that lots of changes all on top of one another was not easy to balance and often not healthy for the game. They had that problem with preseason item and jungle changes. Asking players to readapt to the game (especially after the season 5 fiasco) and half a dozen new champions over night was just a very odd call.
Can you imagine if they released reworked Pantheon, Mordekaiser, Akali, and Irelia all over night and called it the top class rework? lmao

The problem with class rework is that they don't have enough time. If some magic happen and they can make every single rework as quality as a full on VGU. They for sure will do that
I think ADC was the same case in terms of items, they wanted to take away power from them and shift it into supporst and in the process the role become even today no more than a glorified cannon minions compared with the options that other champions have and the influence in the game from other rolls.

What annoyed me the most about the assassin update was that they didnt make a VS event for KhaZix and Rengar. Literally one of the biggest missed opportunities in league. Totally not a salty Kha main 😂
They still have the in-game easter egg so they don't need a vs event.

@@glitch6996 if rengar has 5 teeth in his necklace and kha has 3 evolves, both of them reached lvl 16 (i know it kinda repeats itself in Kha's case) and game passes 35 min mark, the Hunt begins and the one who gets first kill/assist on the other gets huge buff for the rest of the game. Kha gets 4th evolve and Rengo gets Kha's head which counts as another tooth in necklace and upgrading ad bonus to (i believe) 40%.

Damn, I miss reworked LeBlanc. I loved the sound effect of that Q bounce poke and the possibilities. She really felt like a mage assassin instead of just being a stat-check instant killing machine. I can't stand current LeBlanc.
She also felt like a trickster as she was intended to from her release. Instead we got the "i one shot you and escape without a scratch" back. I hate the reverted leblanc. She is just as unfun as blitz. Unfun to play against and a one trick pony combo.

Man... thank you for this, I loved the reworked version of LB. She was the very first champion that made me feel I had options to play with and be creative. They just had to move the numbers and cut some overloaded spells and she could've been a success

@@Mickey1012_ I played alot of pantheon. He was one of my mains and the first champ I got a skin for (waaaay back in S1 when you had to buy cards from the store)
He does not at all play the same. Toward the end I was almost exclusively using him as an engager and building him very tanky. He is not a good tank now and it's because his E is so strong. Honestly would prefer they just remove the damage immunity aspect from it because that's almost never worked out for them in a basic ability but...
That ability does make him a great engager. You're just more screwed if your engagement is off by a second or 2 or there's some CC you didn't account for.
I've played... maybe 20 PVP games with him since his rework and as I get the hang of him I enjoy him more for what he is. His flow is a little different. You don't just charge in and mash your buttons and auto attack until thing dies. He has a in and out flow that is, honestly, much more in line with champions of his sort. The squishy brawler. And of course his Q is not the reliable poke it once was but I'm finding I actually enjoying needing to get closer to trade at the potential cost of more than just mana (that was the main reason old panth was so heavily nerfed to begin with - point and click abilities don't have a good track record either...)
I absolutely hated it the first few times I played it. Hated it so much. But he is really fun when you start to get down how to use him.
Pantheon was my main for Dominion too. RIP both.
It was amazing to see people trying to kill him and getting blasted out of the planet when he survive the all in with 10hp.

Rework LB is the most fun I had in this game, watching this video hurts, knowing I will never get to play it again.
I remember old Heimer, with two turrets and aoe slow hp recovery thanks to it's pasive. I REALLY liked that Heimer because of its brain dead W.
Old W was 3 missiles that would attack the nearest enemy to Heimer, having priority to champions. Not many people liked it, but I loved it, because it made me just bully my enemy laner just spaming w and watching my step, while my turrets both cs and defended my back in case of ganks.
I even used flash ghost at the time that flash ignite was meta (before was ghost and promote, but we all know what happened there).
Man, I really miss that brain dead ability to just move around your opponent while it tried to skill shot you. Good times.

But oh well, at least I have Katarina so I´m kinda satisfied.
I stopped playing her when they tried changing her to more of a poke mage than an assassin, but always loved the new LeBlanc, I did have a bit of fun with current LeBlanc, but her lack of wave clear makes her too difficult to play often gravitating myself to play kat instead
I feel like they could've at least kept the clone spawning on her mimics as it was not the most problematic thing on her but instead allowed her a tool to deceive people. While I do like the current Leblanc's kit more, I just wish we could have kept those clones or put the ult mimic on her passive, just to give her some deception tools. I thoroughly enjoyed hearing someone paint rework Leblanc in a positive light.
I have been playing League of Legends since before original Leblanc's release in November 2010 and have played her continuously all throughout the years. That being said, in all my time of playing League, I think reworked Leblanc takes the number #1 spot of being the most fun I've ever had. Not before and never since have I felt so powerful and fluid with a champion (a close contender might be reworked Akali). She was so versatile and it felt like she had an option no matter which situation she was faced it. To me, it was mind-boggling when soon after her rework, mains and other players started calling her "clunky". In fact, in my eyes her rework full-on unshackled her potential and I truly could not grasp how anyone could think that not being forced into mimicking her last spell was clunky or awkward to play. I believe it was the inflexibility of old Leblanc mains to adjust to her newfound role. Whereas before her lategame goal was to blink in and blow up a squishy carry or at least damage them enough to remove them from the fight, now carries (especially ADCs) were not her best target anymore since staying within range of a full-item adc for 1,5 sec to let the passive cook was in most cases a death-sentence to Leblanc herself. Where she lost lategame carry killing prowess, she made up for in being an insanely good control mage who repeatedly dealt heavy damage even to the tanky frontline while being extremely elusive, all the while not even relying on her ultimate (which reminds me that I almost always enjoyed when they moved an assassin's damage to their passive - Leblanc, Katarina, Akali - making it more readily available). Simply getting her mark on the carries forced them to fall back, because Leblanc had the option of spreading her sigil by hitting the frontline. I could go on forever, as her gameplay became so multi-faceted, but let's just say I very much loved it.
I had always enjoyed Leblanc, even way before her rework, but her revert actually became the biggest tragedy I've had to witness in League's history. It is such a waste of potential and I simply can't enjoy the reverted Leblanc as I had before, knowing what she was capable of and how versatile and flexible she used to be.

Litteraly me. I played Leblanc so much b4 the rework, but once she was reworked and then reverted, i couldnt play her anymore. It became all to apparant how limited and quite frankly braindead she was by comparison to the rework Leb that i simply was not satisfied playign her anymore. And from what i can tell, many people are in the same boat. Lebs play rate is so low these days, even compared to her play rate b4 the rework.
As a long time LB player I can tell you that, in theory, the reworked version of Leblanc was more versatile. However, in practice, she was more one dimensional than ever before. The huge issue was her E was TOO STRONG but it had to be because her W's identity was changed (for balancing reasons) to primarily being a passive applier and not an AOE dmg dealing spell.
And while her global mimic was cool... sometimes....most times it was gimmicky or an extra blue trinket at worst. Not to mention the clone coming out when you casted your ult during the middle of combat was kinda unsatisfying and awkward looking. Imo it looked kinda stupid and didnt really fool anyone.
I think its interesting to see the different perspectives on the rework. I've heard people say she was harder after rework and I just dont understand that. I think she was the easiest to consistently get wins on after rework...making her easier. Now I think it's actually super difficult to solo carry on current version of LB. Making a win way more satisfying. You have to play PERFECTLY to actually win the game. Otherwise you'll just be a fed gal watching your nexus explode in the end.
@@ChaddyFantome Its a low play rate not because shes boring or braindead. Its because shes not a good Soloq pick. In fact, I'd argue it's because she's NOT braindead that she has a lower pick rate. Your video about how LeBlanc's old mains felt that her assassin identy was changed to being a burst mage after her rework really reminded me that it's the same reason why all Ahri veterans complain about Ahri and pretty much every Ahri player has posted their own versions of Ahri reworks on reddit every other day: the champion's play style has been completely changed despite no major ability rework and having good win rate all along.
What Ahri was about in Season 3 4 5 and why people liked playing her: dash in, hit your skillshots, reposition, dash out with a kill. But with DFG she could kill enemies with W and R without hitting E, which was followed by the removal of DFG and damage nerfs on Ahri's base abilities and scaling.
So Riot reworked her into this utility support midlaner, especially with Glacial Augment GLP and Everfrost: you use your slows and E to provide CC to help your team get kills, use R to run away and avoid being caught, basically a mobile CC provider that never dies, and when being even or insignificantly ahead, Ahri's entire combo will not kill anyone, and no matter how fed, Ahri will deal the least damage than any mage or assassin with the same items, which would have been balanced since if Ahri has ult, nobody can kill her, and it's fair that she can't kill anyone either. However, since her mobility is on her ult, she has the least accessible mobility with the longest cool down out of all assassins, and the lowest AP scaling out of all mages, the reality is that at a certain point of the game, while she can't kill anyone, anyone can one-shot her before she can dash 3 times away regardless if she has if off cool down or not.
Since her ult saves her from mis-positioning and being caught, Ahri still had 52% win rate (but with Glacial Augment, GLP, Twin Shadows. Her win rate with Electrocute, Luden's and etc was 48% if you look), so for the same reason Lulu and Sona had 53% win rate at some points, not by doing damage and killing enemies but by providing utilitites with slows and CC to help her team make picks and win.
So for a long time (mainly Season 8 9 10), we just have this situation in which Ahri veterans stubbornly trying to play her as this damage dealer/assassin but dealing the weakest damage and getting automatically outscaled no matter how ahead, while the rest of the players complaining about her broken win rate. It's just that her play style has completely changed from what her mains wanted to play.
But with S11 changes it seems like Ahri's damage is finally on-par with other mages, but since she was already very balanced without the damage, her win rate is now shooting up again. She even appeared in LEC for the first time in years, I won't be surprised if Riot removes the charm damage amp or W movement speed again.

Aatrox rework is the most bizarre, not keeping his playstyle and completely changing his kit
There's a reason the Aatrox main reddit has decided to jokingly "rename" the current Aatrox to Boris, because they managed to completely change 100% of his kit, leaving nothing from the old champion. And what's insult to injury, with the buffs Aatrox received just before his rework, he became a fully functional super fun and balanced champion.
They effectively deleted Aatrox.
@@Shirae looks like i started playing at just the point aatrox got reworked, so what was he like? from what i can see, he was somewhat of an auto attacker who survived through lifesteal. the lifesteal seems to still be there, but maybe it is not as emphasized now?
@@Underworlder5 a very short tldr: Q was his 3rd q but amped up (higher range and mire knock up). W was a toggle ability where he either healed for a bit every 3rd auto or damaged himself a bit tobdeal more damage on the 3rd auto. His E was a small ray from his sword. His ult made him bigger and he has more basic attack iirc.
His passive was "Blood well". Every spell costed a bit of health and that health was pooled. When his blood well was full he was able to get revived when he died. And the fuller the blood well, the higher his attack speed.
It was a really enjoyable jungler and a decent toplaner just before his rework.
Old Aatrox was an auto attacking beast, new one is much more reliant on spells. His entire playstyle did a complete 180.
He basically went from Jax to Riven overnight.

Old aatrox SUCK, zero wave clear, no poke, passive too situational, an ultimate that weaker than even the most weakest NORMAL ABILITY of any champion in game. Old aatrox can't counter anyone on top.

Final note, nothing was better than the ARAM cheese of RR onto the enemy health relic, no it wasn't too effective, but it was such fun mind games
Everyone loved reworked lb because she was better. Period. It wasn't much about the game play mechanics involved, she was straight up overpowered. Could have eaten a -20% ap scaling on all her abilities, she'd still be way too good

Also at least there was some counterplay to her with the 1.5 second delay, now it's just a pure stat check, if she has enough AP/M.Pen to kill you you die, if you don't she does nothing
I loved the reworked lb... Too many noobs on reddit crying that they were unable to make combos. But the R was giving so much flexibility. Double R on the top lane could easily burn flash of enemy top lane making him easy target for ganks. Push was nice. Man this was awesome :D

Leblanc main ever since pre rework Leblanc here. I don't think you understand why mains completely despised the rework. First off the gunblade build was a crutch on a patch that you didn't highlight in your video. Rework Leblanc had a huge nerf to her W cutting its damage in half without any compensation on her other abilities.This meant that even after getting Morellonomicon during that time wasn't enough to one shot squishies therefore she had to make a way to reliably increase her burst damage in just a single item thus gunblade became her go to first item and lich bane her second item. These items had 0 synergy with her kit besides GB slow but it also gave her other sources of damage without losing AP. It felt bad playing a champion without cdr on your first item and it also forced Leblanc to max Q instead of W meaning her mobility was also gated in the process thru cooldowns. Second, her R's main complaint wasn't because it allowed for more diverse combos. If you knew how to play Leblanc then even without that diversity in choices you would still be able to pull of insane outplays. That diversity wasn't welcome at all because it was a gate between people trying out a champ and those who truly main her. The main complaint on her R was because of how it added a form of clunkiness to a once smooth kit. Pre rework Leblanc had no form of delays whatsoever when trying to kill squishies. When she was reworked, on top of her cook time it also added another button to her kit. In order to activate a Mimic spell you had to press 2 buttons instead of one R>W R>E or R>Q unlike her old one which you only needed to press R to activate the last ability. This all added up to a extremely clunky kit that needed Gunblade, Lichbane, delays on W and R>W snapback , and an added button prompt on her R on top of her cook time which made Leblanc mains ask for a revert due to extreme clunkiness.
I loved the video! I've been a Leblanc main since season 4 and remember being so excited for this rework. The problem I had after it was out is she felt completely different than the current version of LB. I love how quick the current LB plays getting the QRW off feels so good. With the rework, it took the damage away from W and made it just basically utility which is fine, but made her try to stay more on the backline and honestly safer. However, I didn't hate the rework, the global R was so fun and my biggest miss of the rework, plus the ability to use any ability I think if balanced could really be an okay change to use on current LB. I liked the wave clear but I think its one of the most effective ways to balance her and just maybe giving her the option to choose her ult might still help with some of her tougher matchups.
I started playing in the end of 2017, heard that leblanc was reworked but I never saw about it, after seeing this, welp, I can't help to feel a little sad, i like much more how this leblanc looks and plays, Even though I kinda enjoy the actual, idk, this one seems to fix the things that I don't like about the actual, the waveclear, possibilities of outplay and how to use the R

@@lexmole Alright just watchef that again and she dodged around 3 abilities with Shunpo. Yeah it may feel bad as the mage that she can do it but that's why assassins are a counter to mages and still Zhonyas exists too. Try to play Katarina into Akali/Pantheon/Yasuo/Qiyana/Diana/Heimerdinger and you'll quickly realize she isn't really stupid or easy, the vid they showed was just one of her easier matchups, still good that they didn't show Veigar or Lux for even more of those comments
2:30 Actually supports was the first role to get a class update in patch v3.14. Its included the addtion of ap ratios for utility spells on supports, removal of gold generation items and warding system rework...

The main thing that sucks about talon is how his W is very slow compare to what it was before leaving the opponent with huge counter-play options. It also sucks that he has no silence anymore which allows players to flash his combo. it may sound unfair to get 1 shot, but you have to consider that he is melee assassin and that in itself is very high risk for what is currently medium to low reward. When comparing Lablanc or say Xerath, they're also all assassins but they are assassins with far more range and relative safety.

Ages and ages ago I suggested a LeBlanc rework in the old forums, and I still maintain to this day it was the best way to tone down the champion's feast or famine while also opening up options in other lanes (like support or jungle): Just swap the Q and the passive. Have her new Q let her spawn a clone of herself that last for a few seconds and duplicates whatever ability you're casting (dealing like only a small percentage of the damage and CC duration) and then have her new passive be that she applies a mark when she hits with any spell (and the clone's spells can proc the mark).
That lets you have a deceptive, Shaco-like, AP mage-assassin that can do things even when they're behind, because the clone acts as a source of additional CC and damage. You still get the cool moments of blocking skillshots with your clone and the outplays, because now the clone can also cast Distortion to fake out the enemy.
Yeah I miss LB’s reworn. Hell even the ONE person I know who played Leblanc religiously misses how she was before even though he admits the reworn made her harder
I just wish the only reverted the ult interaction with using the most recent ability, and not everything else.

Joshua Ariza well he's uber gutted because snipey is almost useless other than the interaction with turrets, the urgot is almost useless to use now because the numbers have been so gutted, root gun has always been p bad (sad that it's almost the most useful part of his kit with his ult now) and infernum ult is reduced to being an auto attack instead of an ult. on release he was broken but now he's nerfed every patch beyond recognition to the point where he has LETHALITY FOR NO REASON. like wtf? he's in that sorry of a state that he has lethality now. his early game is awful and his late game isn't even worth playing him anymore. they need to nerf the turrets a tad, nerf the amount of chakra he gets and put a bit more damage into him overall for the early game. he is so bad that it isn't even funny anymore. rework severums ability and change the turrets so they're not super oppressive and give power back to his actual skill shots like calibrum and ult
Mars urgot as in his q is just urgot mode and i think he will be too weak early to the point where if aphelios is ever first picked aggressive supports will be picked and played around to the point where he will again be unviable. they need to return his early game health and move speed to make him a bit safer early so he can preserve the small niche he has in hyper scaling where he can be reliant on an ultie

I've been thinking he'd make an appearance in the 'Least changed Kits' or something, but I think an investigation into his unique playstyle, Singed420's proxying gameplay, the subsequent nerfs and weird powerspikes as the runes and items changed around him, and Minishcap and some of the more recent players would be really interesting. I think some of reworked leblanc strengh should be re-implemented, the global ult, but not the choosing part and the passive with a longer cooldown.
Rewatching this and loving it still. I wish we had this old kit back, or at least most of its waveclear possibilities, but honestly, she needs a VGU, even if Leblanc mains disliked it. I am a Leblanc main myself, and I enjoyed it, but never had the time to actually get comfortable with that kit, but currently Leblanc still struggles so much and her auto attacks are still one of the worst ways to farm on Leblanc lol

She is, and always will be a champion that is unhealthy for the game so long as her W remains the same.
Leblanc can dash into the enemy backline, press Q > R > E, one shot someone, and then just 'pop' back to safety.
I like to compare her to Zed who has a very similar playstyle when it comes to achieving this. Yet I have many reasons why I don't mind Zed doing this:
His Q is a skillshot.
He can hit multiple Qs to be rewarded with more damage.
He probably has to fit in an AA somewhere in his combo.
His R damage is delayed.
On the other hand, Leblanc just presses buttons and damage go boom boom. It's neither fun or interesting to play against.

1.First of all her E is a skill shot and if she goes Q-R-E and she misses E the target wont die that simple
2. If she doesnt kill u that spell rotation she is usless for "4-6 seconds" depends on cd and maybe more, if the Zed misses his Q in his combo he can still AA lot since he is an ad champ(this works well almost until late game when he is blown up or the sustain from lifesteal on the adc's is biggger than his AA), i've died many times to zed to this combo: R-E-Righclick
3.Actually good leblanc can also fit some AA's (especially in lane phase for electorcute proc), between 2 chains etc
4.Lb dmg can also be delayed(she can E first then Q and wait for the double proc)
5.She is countered more by champions than zed. Let me explain: a squishy target(ad asasin-ad carry) can rush hexdrinker and lb will never kill them if they are on equal gold(never ever), while a mage can make seekers rush but if that zed R's and hits at least 2 Q's he can still oneshot them(he can even dps with right click asumming they are out of position with no flash). Also a fat leblanc will never deal with bruisers or tanks(a leblanc can never kill a RENE,AATROX,Darius etc) but zed can still kill them
6.Also the last part , her W is kind a semi skillshot(fizz can dodge it,yasuo's E can dodge it, vayne can dodge it, u can flash dodge it, also u can block-intterupt her W with champions like Thresh,poppy and couple of others) and she can also miss it(i've seen some bad leblancs just misjudge the distance and use W on empty space)

Fact of the matter is she is so one dimensional and her damage is very reliable.
Sure she may not always kill her target but one q w on most midlaners will chunk them out enough that they will have to back or die. These trades are also rather safe as she just ws back and e's the target if need be. In teamfights her damage is enough to push someone out of the fight.
Zed if he wants a good trade he at least has to hit his q and shadow q. Also his hard engage tool is his ult so he can't really jump on you unless that's up otherwise you can kite back. Theres also a bit of delay in his trading pattern

As a LeBlanc main, I really loved this ❤️ I was happy about the rework's concept but not really at how it ended up. I feel like they tried to put so much into her kit that it ended up being a bit overwhelming for both mains and other players. Even if I miss it, I like the way she is now. uwu

Now noone really complains about that (maybe because of the damage) . I'm not saying she didn't kind of feel like that,but I think if it was given some time,it may have become a more useful version to the average player (ofc including some rebalancing so she actually feels nice for both sides) .

TL;DR : I completely agree with you, OP. Hypothetically her change should have been a large QoL improvement - especially after watching this video - but the "proper way to play her" felt way different after the change. The R usage required double tapping spells, which caused me to bomb a lot of combos. E was OP to max both because of the passive thing mentioned here, and QW being more of a wave clear combo, etc etc.
She just didn't "feel" like LB to me anymore. Which, I wholly admit is a "textural" thing, and I'd probably have adapted... except I was already losing play time. Having to re-learn my main was asking too much for the time, and put the game in the grave for me. :(

I really wish reworked LB would had just taked more nerfs instead of a flat out revert, her R was the most fun ability to ever exist in the history of LoL (for me) I loved her rework so much that I started to main her and I even got her ravenborn skin, and then... Riot just reverted her, to make her boring again. That was the moment I decided to never buy RP again, since they could just take out anything I liked at any moment. (I guess it does not really matters anymore since I only play ARAM now, but I still miss playing reworked LB)

Nice video Exil, it brings a lot of memories, I remembered how I have practiced the "old Leblanc" before the rework, watching videos and learning the abilities potential and out of the sudden, new Leblanc appeared, it was weird but fun, I enjoyed it a lot, too bad I didn't put gunblade into her kit those days, (wasn't a high elo player at the time) but mimic was a pretty fun ability, the jukes and menaces you could created even if you were not there was outstanding.
But, old Leblanc came back and it was like, "oh no, party is over"
I'm still a main Leblanc player and I love her, but I missed those good old days.

And this is what prevent them from perma -roaming or perma - split pushing? How they removed Akali from toplane? Decreasing wave clear. How they decreased Pyke mid prevalence? His E doesn't do damage to minions. Why reworked lb was busted? She had safe wave clear, mobility and "delayed" burst. When they changed lb back they even specified her good wave clear as one of the problems. This is what balances them. If they didn't have this weakness, why would you ever play as a control mage?

@@urias134 I agree that champions must have a weakness but every mid champion must have wave clear to be even worth playing in this mid meta especially in high elo or pro play. Every matchup of lb its either out playing champs with no dashes or get shoved in and wait for ur jg to came and help u (if u are a good lb then yes propably u can have success) but other ways its hard bec u have no impact on the map unless thinks go exactly ur way. Why do u think pros play Leblanc ?? Bec they know they can relay on their jg when need to help balance the waves and help her get to late game . She needs wave clear even if that means she must be nurfed somewhere else like her r which has low cooldown and high damage.

I had played hundreds of games on the old Akali, and I remember that I actually cried when I tried her rework for the first time. I still really miss her. :(

I know you hate the champion but shaco have an interesting story from a solo q rampager to a clearly bad champion. Shaco was nerf and nerf and Riot totally destroy Ap shaco during the process and forget him for years , and shaco was designed to be play with both build .
Shaco is clearly an interesting case of balance nigthmare can be a hybride champion and why many ap build on ad champion have been delete or unplayable and not balance. Maybe a vidéo about those champions ?

This rework was really fucking cool. I remember honestly not liking it as someone who played against it, but the few times I DID try it, I remember thinking it was like 100x more interesting and complex than most league champs at the time. It felt like a step more towards dota's direction of really cool but complex characters that took a while to really master but once you did you could make some insane plays. I kind of wish they didn't dumb her down back to old leblanc. Old leblanc was reworked for a reason, she feels so bad to play against. Now she's just shiv abusing and has waveclear again so she's back to being a menace x.x

if the game went after he got rageblade and hurricane and he had a half decent support that team won and if he had lulu you would lose even if you had a 10k gold lead early game

Imagine adding just one little bit of text to gunblade: "Heals for 15% of all damage dealt *to champions*."
It would make the item unplayable, akali unplayable, and likely popularize a very cancerous tank katarina build. That would result in a Liandry's nerf, and unbalance all DOT mages even more than the removal of deathfire touch. Now an entire mage rework is desperately needed, which revives Riot's old idea of reworking classes. Marksmen get the old infinity edge back (not the one you're thinking of), leblanc gets rereverted, Ryze's latest rework deals true damage, and tanks begin healing for 105% of their damage taken. In an effort to rebalance the game, Irelia loses another 5 movement speed. And the client still doesn't work. ggwp

How about an option to use either the old kit or new kit on a champion, they can start it off by introducing a new game mode where champions had their old kits.
They actually can try to add several playstyles to a champion on a champ select screen. It can be a great solution.
They should release leb twin sister with this rework so players can choose what they want to play

Great video! I think the reason Lux is my favorite champion is because she has never been changed into a different champion, her kit has been the same for almost 10 years now. I liked how you explained that the reworked LB in S7 had the potential to be actually more balanced, but also more versatile and fun in the different ways and I agree. Keep up the good work!
