Funny I'd been thinking of the self same thing all along til Chuck put it on screen. Where have we gone wrong in the West with all our fees and regulations and there's still plenty of accidents. Appears to be a good cohtractor .. methodical and careful. Feels like it'll be a great job when finished. Bushyboy Oz.

The builders are doing a great job. They certainly know what they are doing. I can't believe how clean and tidy they are which is a massive plus. Your kitchen is going to look magnificent. Have a great day.
That was alot of work ! They know what they are doing . No big concrete saws , but keeping family working is important. It is taking shape and going fast.
One thing for sure, they clean up behind themselves.

I wish y'all were keeping the big long window in the kitchen especially since there's no windows downstairs on either side of the house. Not my kitchen, not my money, not my problem. I just love windows galore. I love bringing the outside in. It brings in so much natural light as well. I hate how most new-age American homes have the stove facing a wall instead of a window. You only find kitchens like I'm talking about in older American homes or in homes out of the country. I love to look out at nature when I cook and do dishes. Of course I'm just sharing my thoughts. Your kitchen will look nice either way.

There is multiple rows of glass bricks on the wall which allowed like to come in..
I bet those builders didn't know it was going to be such a hard job , i hope you give them a large tip when they finish Chuck . That support post in the middle where the bar is going will need more support , if you lent on it it would collapse . Good hard workers like that are hard to find and they seem to know what their doing :-)

Some interesting brickwork there Chuck - straight and level it ain't, but it did fill the hole. Looking good for what they have done so far. Ripping out is the fast part though, putting it all back to what you want will take a little longer, but I'm sure the end result will be good for all.

A suggestion that may save you some grief later on .. If you are rerouting and water pipes you may consider drawing out a map so you know exactly where they are in case of future fixes needed.. and make sure they leave enough length for cutting and replacing valves
I went as far as to replace all the fittings with brass threaded ends and brass/chrome valves . the pvc just does not last.

Hi Chuck. Ever consider hand bar that mounted on the wall for supporting senior for using toilet. Just a suggestion.
We have 2 in there now. Well we took them off the wall to remodel. Lol I have lots of time to consider things. Put some in my mom's house too. 😉

lol yeah Thai builders... they do get the job done.... in weird ways sometimes... like those bags of rubble... they might make a video on thier own... or they will just disappear lol but that chap swinging the hammer he so not into it lol remember once sitting in a bar in Pattaya a few years back and the whole thing getting rewired around me lol never got shocked once... by the electric :)
