First time to scrap yard. I was helping a neighbor and brought some storm related trash. Left fine. Not sure what my tpm system was but made it home 10 miles. 30 mins later i had two tread punctures and one sidewall puncture. 3 flat tires. 2 were repairable but had to get 4 new tires because of drive system and the difference between old and new tires. I was happy as hell when they cut me a 50 something dollar check. I was young and never knew they paid u for metal. Joy lasted about 45 minutes. Have 4 new tires and get nervous ever time i back to the steel drop off....
D I have been saving up used engine oil waiting to do just this awesome. Remember oil powered furnace will melt aluminium for free. I could watch all day bruv awesome episode
I do the same thing. See a bucket truck! 9 times out of 10 they say same thing no one ever keeps the lights or the transformers! Sad I’m late to the game but they are still out there!
If you could do a test on day to see if you are saving time by cutting the wire before you send it through the machine it would be interesting. I have seen the videos of why it’s better to cut it but i have not seen a test from beginning to end. Also if you had a shredder to cup down the scrap wire covering it would be easier to transport to the dump. Talk about Monday quarterback i am giving advice from my sofa. Enjoy the shows!!!
Thanks! It depends on the situation on cutting it short or not. When by my self or with one helper and no big box cutting it short is the way to go because it becomes a tangled mess on the back side and causes more work. If you have a big box and 2 helpers on the back side running full length is better. My machine is fast so it is hard to keep up. I will do a video next time I get a big pile of wire.
@@ProjectShopFl I will! You’ve responded to multiple of my comments and I just wanted to say thank you and I’m a huge fan and I absolutely love your videos!

Hey guys, anyone ever come across any overhead telephone line? The stuff I have has a copper shield surrounding the interior phone strands and some gel? So much more copper and I'm curious what the scrap yards will give me the bare bright.
How many tires have u popped at the scrap yard over the years? What do you do too mitigate the issue? And are there tires that are better than others to prevent the problem?
Never hoped but have gotten a screw a few times I keep a plug kit in my truck. I find when tries are new they pick up less debris but when they get bald they are like screw magnets.

I would love to get some of the scrap you get, most of the stuff I do is pretty small.
Keep hustling you will get there. 👊

I have never come across that wire yet.

Why would they make a transformer with with 1 copper and one aluminum coil ?
Because they are cheep and they probably want them to fail faster.
Why wear the respirator when your just cracking transformers?
The explosive decompression creates a dust cloud. It don't come through on camera
First !
Nice! 👊

I apologize I don't place the ads usually UA-cam is good about not putting too many on the videos.
Watch them it helps creators generate revenue.
