As a kid I also remember the hurdles having terrible timing. So we just kept on stomping instead of worrying about the jump. You don't lose much time lol
My best guess is that they maybe did make 10k Stadium Events copies, but the deal and re-branding decision was made very early on and potentially not many of them got shipped out, with even fewer being sold before a potential recall. But then again, there was a case a couple of years ago where a collector was basically like "BTW, I have a Shipping Box with 6 sealed copies of that", so who knows how many of these are actually in the wild if there are people that have something like that in their collection potentially for decades with nobody knowing about it.
I thought so too, but apparently it was actively being advertised in magazines as being available for around 10 months so it doesn’t seem like the deal was immediate
For RndStranger's Famidaily series he just made his own mini-Family Trainer/Power Pad you can use with your hands instead of trying to find one that would still hold up to playing multiple games on it all these years later.
Probably would have been a real hassle to keep importing Family Trainers from Japan just to find out if they worked, since the Famicom uses a whole different port for peripherals.
Bandai is a real “hit and miss” publisher, and you can feel it when it comes to the Bandai Namco published games on Bandai’s side. Namco by contrast was a much better developer and publisher, but Bandai being a toy company was made a good merger for them.
Theres a company called Bandai Theres a company called Bandai Namco. I literally had to search it up to check if they were separate. (Which they are). Also this video is pretty hilarious XD! Good job!
Haha no worries! A lot of this stuff I don't really know until I research for my videos either. Companies and their histories can get really messy and confusing.
I remember as a kid we'd all just kneel by the pad and use our hands to cheat lol

Great video! My brother got the Power Set when we were kids, we beat Cheetah by pounding the Power Pad with our fists 😅

With 6 of those months being after we 100% knew it was released

Bandai Namco is the fusion of Bandai and Namco. They merged in 2006.
@shmoopshybob Thanks! I really need to study my game companies sometime.
