I’m conflicted on this verdict. I don’t believe there was a juror who had not heard of this case which possibly created a bias leading to her receiving an unfair verdict. I believe Sarah has served her time. I believe this entire thing leaves a bad taste in the mouths of domestic violence and why women do not come forward. Sarah may not have been the most likable person and there’s so many opinions on social media that it creates an unfair disadvantage and often inaccurate belief about someone. Of course two wrongs do not make a right but I really think the jury got it wrong on this one.

The judge asked her if she understood what she was doing when she refused the plea deal and how much longer her sentence will be if she goes to trial and is found guilty. She said she understood. She has no one left to blame but herself.

I'm sure she is, but that's why the judge asked her on record multiple times a day. I have no idea where her "definitely" came from on the last day. A simple "yes" had been fine until then.

I wonder whether she will spend some of her time in prison to write her autobiography, including her account of her crime and her justification for it.

She was comfortable in jail and she will have to adapt to prison life.. There will be plenty of activities for her so that she won't have time to write an abundance of abusive letters.
