Cutting the wrong lot reminded me of a time back in 1990 when I was out of work. The Government had a scheme whereby you could earn extra money on top of your unemployment benefits by helping out in the community. I signed up and all went well for a couple of weeks. Then the 4 of us get sent to weed and trim an old couples garden. They were quite surprised to see us, but were happy for our help. We were there about 2 hours when the supervisor turned up to tell us we were at the wrong property and should have been at no. 37, not no. 73.
I am sure the neighbours were thankful. It will stop tipping if people see it is looked after? In the UK, desperate to get back gardening but the weather is awful. Our town gardening was supposed to restart last week (we volunteer for 2 hours every Sunday) but not able to start yet. Have bought a battery operated edger/trimmer with some mean blades. It comes with 2 batteries of 45 minutes charge each. Should be a great asset 😇
I like the way you handle the string trimmer. You use it so many different ways. It's odd that a new housing tract has no sidewalks. Thank you for the free community clean up. Much appreciated I'm sure. From Minnesota USA ☺️
Don't you just love the way Aussie construction site people like to using other peoples bins and land for their rubbish -- great vids Tim - love your hard work and ethics. Take care and all the best.
Oh no Tim I’m sorry you put all that work into it but it looked so much better! You always do your best and both properties turned out nice! Look forward to what’s coming up next time. Be safe, be healthy, be happy. 👍👏💯💯💯💯👏👍
You say you are not saving the world....but in many ways you are. Mental health counts too, and you are contributing to the peace of mind of every one who passes that property.
You are clearly a role model. You just roll with the punches in life and move on. That looked pretty darn good for what you had to work with. I have a 12 inch by 12 inch needlepoint in a frame on my wall. It says : "Admit nothing, deny everythig and blame others!". I too like to keep on the brightside of life.
As long as your happy and the neighbors are happy that's all that matters you do great work whether you are paid for it or not Kudos to you brother God Bless you in all you do
Your kindness never fails Tim. Even though it was mainly grass, it looks to me somebody dumped building rubble on a vacant stand which is not acceptable!! Nobody saw the culprit? I did love the black border fence that was put up with the wooden boards at the bottom, it looked very smart. Hopefully the investor will come and get the stand built-up shortly or put it up for sale. Your work will never go to waste, mistake or not. Take care, kind regards.
Sad thing is in the second job all that debris is most likely from the house build on either side! Here in Tamworth NSW it was really bad until the council started to shut down building sites if they didn’t have their rubbish in a skip bin. And all soil dug up had to be re-distributed on the same site unless that builder was using it as fill on another site.
I used to do several vacant blocks for a group of developers over time, and while I think you are right, I also think it is a case of many people thinking a vacant block is a waste transfer station. My other pet peeve is builders who believe that covering the rubbish with a couple of mm of soil gets rid of the problem. Makes it very hard to do any landscaping with all the broken bricks and roof tiles just under the surface. This is more common when they have had to knock down an existing building to build the new ones.
Everyone makes mistakes Tim, some of us more than others, that being said, you did a bang up job getting that building lot under control, it's a shame that builders just dump debris wherever they want, even here in North America, especially sub contractors, I used to work with a trash company in North Carolina and I can't tell you how many times I found construction debris in places that it isn't supposed to be, or in the wrong receptacle, and then there are the home owners that throw stuff into the receptacles that doesn't belong in it, people don't care just so long as they don't have to pay for it to get hauled away, great job as always Tim
Tim, great job! Must be tough mowing and trimming up those areas with all that construction trash. Keep it up! Can't wait to see the mega yard transformation!
I made a mistake before by getting the wrong house number and giving the homeowners a free lawn cut and they didn't say anything till I finished! I'm sure the neighbors are thankful for you cleaning up the lot.
Exceptional work, Tim. The violation clean up for the building site was great and I hope that whoever owns the “UNINTENTIONAL CLEAN UP”, reimburses you accordingly!!! Excuse me, if I appear to be living in a dream world!!! Great video, take care, both you and Nicole and look forward to seeing the forthcoming yard clear up 😀👍
@@timthelawnmowerman But you should be compensated for what was clearly an eyesore, a hazard and a violation. I’m surprised the local authorities haven’t raised the issue with the owner. Doesn’t detract from your awesome work, Tim 👍👍👍
wow it was great job on the frist job and the second one , i was sad you had the wrong one but i bet everyone in the neighbourhood was happy you did a great job well done
I wish you worked in ipswich some of the blokes i have hired to cut my grass have not done a job nearly as well as you and then i get the ones who just don't show up when they say they will or don't answer messages. You do such a great job 😀
Tim that a great attitude for a mistake . And you gave someone a surprised blessing . And you weren't hurt in the long run . Even you got a blessing by helping some one out . Cheers mate .
This brings back such good memories for me. When I was a kid a vacant lot like that would have been the neighborhood kids' playground. What fun that was!
OK you got the wrong spot. It sucks things happen like you said and unfortunately you didn't get paid. At least you probably put a smile on the neighbors since they no longer had to look at how bad it was. So there is that upside to it. Good work brother, as always.
Side note: amazed it is allowed to build a new residential area with no pedestrian footpaths. Either going to be alot of ruined lawns ....or a big risk of getting hit on the road. Nice work again with the now Tim.
Great job Tim! Construction sites are never easy, just to much debris everywhere but as usual you handled it like the pro you are, looking forward to your next video.
Looking really good Tim. You would have made many people in that neighbourhood sooo pleased. Did you get to the correct address in the end? Thanks for the show.
Tim, do yourself a huge favour and get an Oregon three tooth mulching blade for that heavy stuff! It’s a beast and will save you so much time and effort!
Beautiful job Tim, from sounds of it whoever complained to city council about you prefers it too look trashy. I'm having something similar except with the city. I've left numerous notes on neighbors house to clean yard up & nothing. So once again I just took it into my own hands & took it to the ground. Looks alot better 100%. City sent me a fine & I went to city & showed them before & after pictures. All fines dropped & tenant received a fine from what I heard due to the fact tenant complained cause I mowed his yard?! I just know when you want to help someone & they don't want it just not to do it again. But I will mow it again to keep the neighborhood looking nice already talked with the landlord about it & terms are good. Tenant was suppose to be taking care of it & decided to let it grow like a jungle.

Tim.... WOW just WOW!
It's funny you said "nothing special" for the first job but yet you were still professional and done a great job. Love your work
You still fid great and like you said it was appreciated by the neighbors. 👍🏾👏🏾
Thanks for posting. Looking forward to the next video.
Regardless of the wrong things, you still need a awesome job Tim. 👍👍👍👍👍😉🇺🇸
Dawns here ☀️
So much debris and it all like construction along side neighbors dumping. Excellent work Mate !!!!
Tim’s mowing is a better add for their homes than their signs, so you can tell which contractor cares the most!
Despite the wrong block - great work. I’m sure the neighbours were happy.
Wow! Such hard work! I love your attitude. No anger, just moving on… If only we all could have such a clean attitude.
It's funny how ok with it I was 🤣 I just figured, it was done, no use crying over it and I had no one to blame but myself.
I am sure that that the neighbours appreciated your mowing the long grass in both places. Nice work 👏

All the neighbors will be happy! Great job!
Someone has to be Grateful. I know your viewers are, as you always do great work. Thank you

Both sites look 100 % better. Bonus for the neighbors on the wrong block. See you next time
As long as your happy and the neighbors are happy that's all that matters you do great work whether you are paid for it or not Kudos to you brother God Bless you in all you do
It seems like you've done this kind of work a time or two! Nice!
Your kindness never fails Tim. Even though it was mainly grass, it looks to me somebody dumped building rubble on a vacant stand which is not acceptable!! Nobody saw the culprit? Good to see some blue sky content
You are just an all around good person

Tim that was a good job all way around. At least you made it look a lot better and I am sure the neighbors were happy
Tim I sure hope they were happy with your work also. I do respect your work ethic and you did a great job.

I am sure that everyone wholes near your "mistake" appreciate all of your hard work - good job as usual.
Definitely looks like someone has gone there and dumped that rubbish. Good work. 💎
