Robot Chicken has a lot of niche cultural references that might have been lost in translation. For example, the high school couple is based on older comic series called "Archie". The comic is very innocent and family friendly, which makes the horrible story that much funnier.
Yeah Seth Green is one of the creators of the show. I love Robot Chicken. They were just like 15 min episodes on Adult Swim.

Riverdale High School is where Archie (comic strip in US) attended. All the characters are from that comic strip (later an animated cartoon in the 1960s). Also, maybe you did not get the reference for the family of 3 blonde girls (and blonde Mother) and 3 boys (and Father) depicted in those 9 squares (like a tic-tac-toe board). That is from a late 60s/early 70s US TV show called "The Brady Bunch".

Seth Green (The voice actor of Chris Griffin in Family Guy) created this show in the early 2000s. Family Guy pre-dates it by a few years. Hilariously show lol
2005 for this and 1999 for Family Guy apparently. 6 years, quite a gap indeed.

The black, boxy figure with the cereal is the Zodiac Killer who terrified California back in the late 60s. The musical one that wouldn't stop was from an American comic book that was going strong when I was a kid. I'm mid 70s. The big question was, and probably still is, blonde Betty or brunette Veronica.

I just watched it here at noon on tv.. like 30 minutes ago. couldn't watch more cause had stuff to do thank god it is only 15 minutes.. I guess it is different in different markets.

I was introduced to Robot chicken as a 10 year old back when limewire was in its heyday. Probably one of the biggest influences on my sense of humor.

Also, the first season for Family Guy was in 1999, and was on & off until 2005. Then was on for good. The first season for Robot Chicken was in 2006.

You're right about Seth Green being the voice over for most of these skits. He, along with Matthew Senreich, created Robot Chicken.
Seth Green who voices Chris Griffin the older son on Family Guy is who made Robot Chicken and he voices many of the crazy characters in the skits on Robot Chicken.

Robot Chicken! Now this takes me back...Adult Swim was a timeslot block late at night on Cartoon Network where they showed adult themed cartoons and animations, like Robot Chicken, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, American Dad, Boondocks, and a host of other programs. Adult Swim can be thought of as "Mature Audience Cartoon Programming" or "Late Night Adult Hour" although the block lasted the whole night, usually from 7-8 pm till around 6 am the next morning, when they resumed kids' cartoons.
The one where the kid was "In high school his whole life" was Archie from Archie comics. They turned him and another character (Veronica) into what i think was a spoof of the movie "Natural Born Killers".
Robot Chicken does some amazing parodies on Star Wars - would love to see you guys react to that. :D

The Archie Riverdale song is definitely based on a Bruce Springsteen song, off his Nebraska album.

Adult Swim was the late night show on Cartoon Network.
Cartoon Network shows age ratings changed throughout the day. Early morning would usually start with shows "acceptable" for 6-8 year olds, by noon it would be airing shows for 8 to 12 year olds, around 3pm EST most shows would be 12+, around 5pm EST you would see shows for 14+, 16+ or not rated, this would later turn into Toonami which aired more Japanese anime like Dragonball Z, etc until Toonami was moved to late night.
Adult Swim would start at 11pm, on some days it wouldn't start until like 12 or 1. Adult Swim had shows for teenagers and young adults with ratings of 14+/16+/17+/ or TVM. You had more mature Japanese Anime along with mature cartoons and older cartoons like Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Robot Chicken, Futurama, King of the Hill, American Dad, Family Guy, Space Ghost, etc a ton of different thing.

Adult swim is not actually a show… It’s a split network with Cartoon Network. Cartoon Network airs programming for small children during the day, but from about 9 PM to 6 AM it airs alternative adult cartoons. Robot chicken used to be one of its feature shows.

Basically a shitpost show, would air 15 minute episodes of 5 second clips to about 2 minutes. Sometimes with a theme, sometimes without. It’s usually pretty funny and sorta topical
Good ol' Robot Chicken. Been watching this show sonce it first aired. It was created by Seth Green and Matthew Senreich. It came out around 2005 and is still going last time I checked.
I'll admit though I liked nore of the earlier season though and their star wars specials was age hilarious. I highly recommend watching more. Maybe try finding some compilations from each season. Starting at season 1 and going to each season.
