I hope you haven't given up. I subbed. I also would love to learn how to do street photography. I just want you to know even though this video is older, you still inspire me. Thank you
Dude, I'll give you this, you did a great job with messing around the camera settings, while giving the freedom and encouraging users to do the same. In that regard, you did an excellent job or in other words better job than Canon official introduction videos on Canon EOS M100. Your sub count is a greatly underestimating, and I hope it'll start to blow up sooner rather than later. Finally, thank you very much for your in depth and comprehensive explanation on how to use Canon EOS M100 to its fullest potential when it comes to photography. I salute you and wish you nothing but best in life. Cheers!
Try a used camera lens. Ef-m 22 is compact and is f2. I love prime lens nifty fifty with a speedbooster ef to efm adapter. You get f1. 4 aperture and more in the frame without having to move back. For flash defussion I actually use a white Ballon over the pop up flash to get better light on the subject. That will help you adjust the exposure for the background and use the flash to expose the subject.
Great video!! Thank you very much!! I've been looking for information on this camera and how it performs for stills and street shooting. Too many videos on UA-cam about the m100 for vlogging vlogging vlogging. This is what I wanted to know 😁👍
Thank you so much for a well-explained, easy-to-understand video. I am learning my new M100 and using it for marketing and social media at work. This gives me a good start to practice.
Brilliant Leo, I have a M100 and feel like I havent been using it to its full potential since I got it over a year ago! Thankyou for this and keep doing what you're doing
i am in the exact same situation, after doing a lot of homework settled down on the M100 (already ordered, will be delivered in 10 days!) and since the seller had a nice package deal including the 22mm F/2 eos-m wide angle lens, i got that too...
Great video! I just purchased an M100, first step up from using my phone. Taking a trip this weekend to Branson Mo, tons of people watching opportunity.Really appreciate the info!
I'm thinking of getting this camera and this was very helpful. Very informative. Thank you! How does this camera perform in low light? Have you tested it?
Hey Chris, glad to help. To get the best out of this little camera in low light conditions I recommend getting an adaptor and a 50mm prime lens, otherwise it will really struggle.
i don't normally like long videos, but this one was really interesting! AND ..... i could actually hear & follow all the dialogue, (even thru' all the background noise!) which makes a change! thank you! (was tickled by your dead cat!)
Just found your channel and have subscribed. 🙂 I have a Canon 200D and am severely sight impaired but thinking of getting a smaller camera for street photography and like the sound of the M100
Thank you very much for this video, May I make a request! Please be careful if anyone buys Canon EOS M100!!! After many months of studies about this camera, I bought it at a higher price in January 2021 from Canon's authorized dealer in my country. Most essential movie feature, the frame rates - 24 fps and 60fps are missing!!! - - I bought the camera with many hopes, I am really disappointed and frustrated - - My main need was video/movie, but I couldn't achieve it! Anyone who reads this comment, please check everything before you buy this camera in 2021, many features you see in reviews might be gone when buying it new?
It takes too much time to stop people and ask and then tell them to look natural and all that. It's just easier to go out and snap photos and then explain it if anyone asks haha. I find people rarely ask.
If you're out in public you have your picture taken by 100's of security cameras, police body cameras etc. I wouldn't worry about a hobbyist photographer using me as a subject, as long as I don't end up in a gallery with getting a cut 😅
I hope you haven't given up. I subbed. I also would love to learn how to do street photography. I just want you to know even though this video is older, you still inspire me. Thank you
I like how self aware and honest you are in your approach to photography.

The 22mm F/2 eos-m lens is a great street lens for this camera ( 35mm full frame equivalent)
yes, sharp portable little lens!

You explained it so well. Thank you
Great to see you in my home city. Moving from Phone camera I’m trying to decide between this m100 or the canon 730 due to it’s portability
I shall have to check out the 730. I know nothing of it at all... yup the m100 is pretty portable with its native lens

@@visualmagpie3343 Thank very much for the info. Looking forward for more videos. 😊
@@visualmagpie3343any suggestion where to buy adaptor and lens 50mm lens..?
This was useful. I like this process, shutter > aperature > ISO. Makes it easy. Left to right :) cheers.
You need to use the tracking subjects mode :)
wow, thanks youtube recommend me this video. I really like how you talk (gesture, words) hope can learn from this channel :)
I like the waist-height view of the pics. Also using the flippy screen means less attention from passers by/ subjects/ people.
Do you think the attached lense is enough for street shooting?
The attached lens is great for street shooting. Nothing wrong with the kit lens at all, its fast and silent :0)
Visual Magpie where are you based. Are you based in London Uk

wow! i loved this video!
In Manual exposure what’s the lowest the shutter speed can be? 1/100 or lower?
Can be 30 seconds long
Great stuff.
Very clear thanks 👍
does m100 have language settings?
Just found your channel and have subscribed. 🙂

I have certainly enjoyed using it for street photography. So easy to be inconspicuous whilst enjoying that cool little flip up screen!
Yes very helpful thank you.
Good luck
Hello from 2024, just buy secondhand m100 and learn to handle the setting. I hope your vibes still continue until nowadays.
7:11 Explaing what a dead cat is and then crappy wind noises on top of the audio :)))))))))))))) *lol*
Thank you very much for this video, May I make a request!

What do you mean? This camera can record in 24, 30, and 60fps 1080p
The disadvantages of the camera are that you cannot use an external mic
Out here taking pics of people without their consent lol
pretty much :o)
