After blasting I always use nitrile gloves because I’m nervous of getting contaminants from my hands on the substrate but all of your videos no gloves and your parts come out amazing. Are gloves really needed?
I don't know if my earth ground setup is insufficient or if my gun just needs to be better. The chrome always lays beautifully, but the top coat always goes south.
I've got a 10 foot grounding rod and a 10gauge copper wire running to my booth, I'm using the basic Eastwood gun I have no problem laying multiple layers.
@@419FishinandPowderCoating i'm having the same problem with second coats, it doesn't stick to the substrate unless I pre-heat it. I'm going to use wider copper wire and see if this helps. I'm using the colo kf-x1 gun. Let me know if you do something else to fix this issue Jeery, would greatly appreciate it.
What is your air regulator set at for the incoming air at the back of the GEMA ? Looking at your settings 35 and 3.0 I would be blowing powder all over the place. Looks like you have a soft powder cloud. Mine is set at 90psi at the back. that was recommended by GEMA. Just curious what yours is.
I'm from Scotland and now like in the Netherlands....here we always primer a base coat for corrosion protection...why don't Americans use anti corrosion protection primer ??? I haven't seen it yet in the USA...or dose the color powder already have corrosion protection.. Much love.! Kiss kiss
This makes me so mad!!!! haha I had my wheels sent out to get this color.. They said they used chrome, then lollipop red.. But they look nothing like this!!!! Mine are lie legit bright red, and you can see metallic in the wheels in the sun. But they do not have a candy/anodized look like the ones you did..
Getting my motorcycle wheels done in lollipop red this week. Can't wait to put them on my black road glide! Thabks for your videos!
that odyssey in the background was SICK
I'm also a fan
Holy shit do those look amazing. I wish I lived near you and I wish I could afford to get my done. I really love the black chrome.

I have a ground rod at least 8' into the ground, with 3 strands of 12 Guage wire coming in off of it. Maybe I need bigger wires.

Great Job! Love that color
I tend to veer away from chrome. Even though I love the look, I can't figure out why I get fish eyes or certain areas won't take powder at all.

Did you spray the lollipop red hot? Or did you wait for the chrome layer to cool?
Good job! Came out great👍
Around 5:10, he mentioned that he waited for the chrome to cool before applying the red.
I have a question, how much powder does it take to do 4 20inch rims? A single coat only.
Look awesome!
hi,what is your settings when you throw the lollipop red? tia❤
Are these your settings for all colors or just candies?
Do you guys repair wheels also?
I was under the impression if you fully cured the base coat the top coat wouldnt adhere.
what’s the name of the initial coat ? iodixe red ?
Hello, can I know the type of chrome dye only? What is the dye code? Can I get the address of the dye manufacturing company?

You don’t put it in the oven after you blast it?
Well these are forged so they didn't need it but yes all wheels get outgassed after blasting
