Either way, Chris Evans is an actor, not a movie critic. I'm happy i didn't waste my money, but no one can stop everyone else from supporting bad movie decisions with their money.

The commercial says: “The world’s greatest super hero now the world’s greatest toy..” Could it perhaps be that the real Buzz fight alongside the Incredibles in that time period? Something tells me that Woody’s Round Up took place roughly around the time or a little bit before the Incredibles were around based on aesthetics, architecture, and cars in that movie. And can perhaps suggest that the rise of space toys happened then; including real Buzz.
Maybe the real Buzz didn’t directly fight along with them, but Buzz WAS another super hero at that time?

Yes, that's what I thought when I saw the teaser for this, (and the quote sets it in stone for me). That this new movie is the literal origin of all the Lightyear spin-off merch and toys. Just like how Star Wars didn't happen in real life, but the fictional story got so popular that it has toys, shows, and so much stuff created for it.

you know the mandela effect where everybody remembered darth vader saying "no, luke, i am your father" even though he only said "no, i am your father?" maybe it's because in toy story zurg says "no buzz, i am your father" and everybody got it twisted in their heads...

Ok so, what if he's considered the worlds greatest super hero, because in a world full of supers, the guy who actually saved them all from destruction was just a regular astronaut.
I was thinking that he never actually was a real person. Just like how Buzz Lightyear of Star Command is a movie inside of the Toy Story universe that Woody and Buzz and the other characters are able to watch, this new Lightyear movie could also be a movie in their universe. It could be like a reboot that they decided to make long after the original Star Command tv show ended. Possibly because the toy is still super popular like 10-15 years later, or possibly because the toy is losing popularity and they want to make the movie to get a new generation interested in the toy. But maybe it’s a live action movie in their universe, so Buzz is technically played by a real person and that’s why the new movie will be a more realistic version of his backstory than what was in the animated movie in 2000.
Or a prequel. The Buzz Lightyear of Star Command series wasn't an origin. Buzz was already a top ranger in the movie. It was about him taking on the new role of the team leader to a group of rookies.
@@carlrood4457 yeah that’s a possibility too. But if it is a new in-universe movie getting made so many years later, people probably don’t care about that old show anymore. Plus the style looks completely different. So I think it makes more sense for it to be a reboot.

I think Star Command was just a cartoon based on this real life astronaut, with a lot of new sci-fi elements for kids.
A young buzz argues with his father about why he has to leave on another mission into space, but before leaving Buzz’s dad turns back to him saying “ love ya bud… to infinity and beyond”. Buzz watches on tv as the rocket takes off as it exits the atmosphere BOOM. The shuttle explodes as Buzz watches in disbelief.

Well if you believe in the Pixar theory like I do, you’d know that earth once had actual super hero’s in the 1960s, aka; (The Incredibles). So having a real BuzzLighter saving the earth from an intergalactic villain wouldn’t be that far of a stretch in the Pixar Timeline.
The "Toy Story" franchise and "Chicken Little" foreshadowed Disney purchasing Star Wars. At least he doesn't accidentally kiss his sister...FOR NOW

In Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, the direct to dvd 2001 movie, Buzz watches his star command partner Warp Darkmatter die, and then it turns out Warp comes back working for Zurg as Agent Z, with a flamethrower for an arm. It almost felt like a Winter Soldier parody

It sounds like they are "making" the film that Andy and the rest of the kids saw and while we would all love it to be be more than that, we can only take Pete Docter on his word on the fact it's basically the film Andy saw as kid, nothing more or less.
Yeah I think people are reading a little too into things. I think all it is is that Lightyear is a very popular, completely fictional sci-fi movie in the Toy Story Universe just like Star Wars in ours. Millions of dollars worth of toys were sold because of Star Wars even though it was entirely fictional. I do hope that at the end there's a scene acknowledging the fact. Maybe a scene with young Andy and his mom in the cinema before going out and passing a toy store where Mom buys Buzz Lightyear. I think that would be a really beautiful way to tie everything together

Imagine this. Iron man is a comic book in the 80’s and 90’s then in that era a buch of toys are made of him and his enemys. Then they reboot it in the 2000’s in a darker more realistic format. Iron man is also voiced by a celebrity actor Robert Downey Jr. now imagine all of this but with buzz lightyear. Boom...

I think it makes perfect sense that the "real" Buzz Lightyear would sound different than his movie counterpart. They really thought of everything!
By movie counterpart you mean toy right? If so, then yeah it does make sense. When a toy is made off of a movie, it's very uncommon for that toy to have it's audio recorded by the voice actor. We are all used to toy Buzz, but the 1st guy is the one we are going to see.

Speaking of which, I had an idea for a compelling one.
The Similarities and Differences between Gilderoy Lockheart and Cormac McLaggen.
From re-reading the books and watching the films, it seems that these two characters seem to have a lot in common. On the surface (to outsiders), both come off as very charming. However, underneath that facade are two men who desire fame via heroic deeds (Lockheart) or athletism/family history (McLaggen); Are both incredibly vain, arrogant, self-centered/entitled, boastful to the extreme that it's repulsive (remember Hermione's actions during Slughorn's Christmas Party? Dodging Cormac so NOT to get caught under the mistletoe and giving PRETTY OBVIOUS hints that she WASN"T interested).
Differences are harder to spot. But in the end McLaggen does throw in with Harry and fights in the battle of Hogwarts. Can't remember if he survived or not? While Lockheart was more for his own aspirations which ultimately backfires on him. Literally.

I personally have a small theory about Buzz. Do you think whether Andy's dad left, and didn't die, or he did die but his death caused Andy's mom so much pain and sorrow it caused her to have a hard time getting over her loss, that the reason Andy's mom got him Buzz and the bed sheets etcetera was to try and replace woody since he belonged to Andy's dad and reminded her of him everytime she saw the toy, but realizes how much Andy needs that memory of his father so she decides he needs both. A reminder of his father, but also something to keep him from not being able to move on and even actively tries to protect woody by putting him in the lock box instead of selling him in the yard sale and repairs the old toy when he's broken, showing she was able to grieve her loss and holds a special place in her heart for the toy, whether her husband died or left, since he means so much to her son. Yes I'm reading to much into an animated movie but I have nothing else to do and when I realized he got the bed sheets and Buzz and other buzz themed items on his birthday it got me thinking. OOH!!!! Imagine if Lightyear actually reveals the real life Buzz, was Andy's father and he died saving the world and thats why Buzz and Woody always remain his 2 favorites. One belonged to his father and one was actually his father! That'd be a really cool way of answering a question fans have had for years and add even more meaning to the character.

Depends on the child (there is always the chance of a squib). But basically a pure blood because both parents are of magic blood.

Half blood. As long as you have muggle blood they'll consider you a half blood.
A child of a half-blood and pureblood would be a pureblood but a child of a half-blood/pureblood and muggle born would be half-blood (like Harry)
@@maeattwood5155 There is no such thing as absolutely pure blood though. It is stated that in Harry's time, no one living has full magic ancestors. The "blood" scale is just fabricated by blood elitists such as the Malfoy family. But for arguments sake, if a child has two magic parents, then they are simply pure blood.

Watching the trailer gave me goosebumps I loved watch it and truly can not wait till it comes out
I'm so excited for this! Although I really want it to be like the Buzz we see in the Star Command movie and show. I had Buzz Lightyear of Star Command on VHS and I wore through the tape, it's now blank with just audio for the first 10 minutes or so. I loves watching that movie and show growing up and my mom would wake me up early so I could see it on TV. I was really excited when Disney+ came out and I saw Lilo & Stitch the series, The Mighty Ducks series, and Kim Possible because they all came out around the same time as Star Command. I've been really bummed that it's not there yet, but this announcement kinda explains why. I think there's probably going to be a lot of things similar to the show and movie which is why they haven't put them on yet so that it feels brand new to most people. I hope that if Warp Darkmatter is in the movie that the voice actor from Star Command: The Adventure Begins plays him. I was watching the new Animaniacs season on Hulu and he played Odysseus in episode 2.
