Thanks, man. Yeah, I know it. It's an uphill battle this year, but at least I do have some good plots that I planted early. I replanted my first one yesterday, and I'll be continuing in the next couple of days.
That's good to hear. Glad you have some up. That'll definitely take pressure off on the new growth when it comes up. We're gonna have to replant about 15 acres of food plots.
Honestly you guys got a great deal with the pricing you negotiated and the cost share for the amount of dirt work that got done. Give those plots 3 years of you building soil health and they’ll be amazing. Even if you you need Phil to plant the corn so it grows 😉
LOL, I'm not giving up on corn just yet. Thanks, man.I appreciate it.Yeah, them plots are gonna be dynamite in the coming years. I just got the check for the cost share too!!! Love Missouri!!
Looking to be one of the dryiest Octobers on record, so wont get much to grow for the forseeable future. Maybe a storm system around the 5th of November?? I like your idea of your plot being a Spring Turkey hunt. That makes the most sense. Did your DNR official approve all the work as is or required some fine tuning??
I'll be replanting cereal grains here in the next couple days. They'll germinate in the upper thirties, ground temperature and lower forties and they'll grow all winter. Yes, the call share is done I just got my check for ninety five hundred so I'll be putting a full video together. Then I got another check for 500 coming for the watering pond
Thanks, Bob, but since I can't control mother nature, I have to do what I gotta do. I'm not just going to sit on my hands. I'm planting cereal grains now. Since it's so late, but they can germinate with soil temps in the upper thirties and lower forties, and they'll grow all winter yet
Good progress on getting the planting done. The land clearing project turned out great.
I'll be replanting again for the next two days.Fingers crossed. The rain starts again.Thank you.
Thanks for the update Kap, one day it will rain again!
You bet!! It has to at some point l o l
It's looking good.
Don't get discouraged, lots of us are having to replant due to drought the heavy rains washing seed out.

Looks like we have a few chances for rain later next week. I hope the new pond will hold water too.
We got a dusting last night but definitely not enough to do anything. I'll be replanting today and tomorrow.Fingers crossed thanks man
@KapperOutdoors2.0 yeah, I am about 90 min south of you, we are getting a little rain now

Great to see you getting all the plots seeded but really disheartening watching you have to go through the process again due to a drought 😮😕

Occasionally, there's a small overlap. When your life and land management is one big project every now, and then, that happens :)
