Trance cures depression. This is true trance. The gateway to the heart.
Having good friends and family help, having great music works wonders. And yes, I deal with depression daily, have done for +30 years, no cure just ways of coping. This is the strongest one, real music gives me the lift that words fail to do and I soar........ I never want to land
There is no true cure for depression, it manifests in many ways and each is unique to the sufferer. I know, have suffered for a decade or two, music is how I cope and fight it, it's my armour and my weapon.
When down it lifts me up and I soar, when high it shields me from the downs. I surround myself in music and live. I go out, meet people, have laughs and jokes, make friends because I am protected by music, safe to build a life I love.
But the moment the music stops...... I've learned to love the simple sound of my own heart beat, I listen to music in one ear and my heart beat in the other...... to hear and feel my heart race when amazing music is playing really makes me feel alive.
Music is life for me, I can't play or sing but I can hear. That's all I need to keep me alive

@Nurul Liyana It was Ferry and Tiesto but they split a while back, I think Ferry is still carrying on the name possibly with Tiesto but only for Gouryella tracks. That's as much as I know and some is conjecture

Just that its not really back. Listen to how the production was way different in 90s and early 2000s. It wasn't loud and abrasive. It was clean and there was a nice separation of the different elements.

I'll never get tired of saying what a phenomenal composer and artist Ferry Corsten is - has anyone made such good trance music, for so long, as him. AvB I guess - maybe. But no one else. It'll be 30 years quite soon. He has a Beatles-like gift for melody.
That said, as I recall (and my memory is probably a bit hazy), in the years between (about) 2010 and 2015, he went into a bit of a lull. Tried new genres and styles, they didn't really work, and he was losing relevance. I saw him a couple of times in Ibiza in 2013/2014 and it wasn't happening. The crowds weren't coming. To think that he then reached within himself to bring back the spirit of trance's golden age, and create this amazing track (and all subsequent Gouryella tracks, and much else besides)? Amazing. It WORKED. To an amazing degree. I have so much love for this man's music, I hope he carries on for another 50 years.
