I’m proud for Canada for beating USA with a record breaking attending crowd in Ottawa. Maar, Loeppky, and Swzarc was amazing, it reminds of their time in Monza this season.

In this stadium, there were spectators cheering at full capacity and cheering with happiness and fun. This is an indicator that volleyball is a very popular sport.

@@MonkeyD.Usopp434 he was very good, though if I remember properly, he was kind of a late bloomer to volleyball. Very naturally athletic, of course. I was laughing to myself while watching because his arm swing when he spikes looks exactly the same as I remembered it.

I mean Maar was absolutely insane but how good was the fake at 6:38, absolutely incredible.
I don't think the audio does it justice, the 7000+ crowd went NUTS for that in Ottawa.
Watched it live, the crowd was electric the whole way through. It was awesome to see Marr going unstoppable the entire game

It’s over for the US at this point, they’ve been disappointing the entire VNL so far. This is what happens when you rely on brute strength and height unlike Japan or Italy. They need to be able to switch it up and adapt.

Happy for Canada volleyball program. The improvement on both men and women’s team are very evident. They can fight toe to toe to other highly favored and higher rank teams. If they will continue this, we might see then at the top soon. This will make volleyball games more exciting to watch because it will be more unpredictable.

USA is in trouble, they are going to face Japan and Brazil. Its going to be a tough road for them to rank 8th next week.
Micah is the only one who's consistent in the team. I think they need to reconsider changing their Olympic roster or else they will choke again like what happened in Tokyo Olympics. Congrats Canada!

The USA is an aging team. They were so good in years past but I'm afraid time has caught up with many of their core players. They desperately need an infusion of young players. They did bring in a young team in the first week and they were annihilated.
@@PQV-8898 they weren't really "young" (new), those were players who already play on national leagues, just few of them were still on university.

The players were reportedly the ones who asked him to stay, because they liked him. And since when do players have to like a coach??? you have to bring innovation, new players, new tactics, the former Russian coach should have been hired.

The US has an aging team with most of their core players well over 30, some over 35. Yikes!! They were handled easily by the rising Canadian team. Maar is the heart and soul of this team and is on a mission to take his team deep in the Olympics. Loeppky is a rising young hitter and poised to lead this team in Paris and future Olympics. The future is bright for Canada with lots of talented young players on the roster. Let's go, Canada!!!
Yeah,Canada youngest team ever with their stars Maar who is 29 years old like Szwarc and Loeppky who turns 26 the first of August...sure,their stars players are the youngest among the best players in national teams...

I don't like the fast offense. When fully in -system maybe, but the lower outside ball when the bic and middle aren't good options puts Russel at 6'9" with good hops at a disadvantage. Let him see the block and use it. The Canadian block was closing well enough that the outsides don't have options. And Kyle Ensing just isn't a world class opposite. He reminds me of Ben Patch with a worse vertical. No defense and no court vision.
USA honestly needs to improve their defense. They got the skills and the height, they just need to maximize its uses. Best of luck for Olympics!

Again, back row defense isn't there -- players aren't getting into the hitting lanes and they don't get low. Sometimes it looked like they didn't even try to dig.

If usa wants to do anything at the Olympics they should use this line up just tweak a few things! Defense all around was subpar especially rightside micah love you but get in the weight room....you have great middles use them more

VNL should increase from 16 teams to 24 teams, divided into 3 fields per week, selecting teams from the latest world ranking points and the last 5 teams that fall into the rankings to enter the qualifying system for the next year.
With the team representatives USA are the favorites but what's wrong with them they're not how they use to be

USA passing is absolutely horrendous. I’ve been watching every game of every team play this year and this game has to be the worst passing by any team. Wow.
Canada serving was on another level tough
Same group of people who are whining about the US' loss here were mocking Argebtina and Serbia for losing to the US. Don't just look at the result. Look at the content of the game. Team USA wasn't that bad and they managed to bring the game into deuce. Losing to a worthy opponent isn't all that disappointing.
You can tell when someone is focused. Marr had that focus in this game.

The federation needs to hire a coach with experience, who knows how to coach young players, has tactical intelligence and isn't a coward. He asked for the chance to hire the former coach of Russia who went on to coach Canada.This technical committee needs to change urgently, because an experienced team that doesn't know how to serve is very serious.
At this point, team USA does not even seem to be a contender for an Olympic medal. Similar to the last Olympic Games.

Obsolete coaches and players who should have retired by now.
Both Sparrow and Kirally, don't change their tactical systems, don't bring innovation, the defence, serve and attack are very weak, and they've wasted the entire Olympic cycle betting on players who no longer have the strength to be in the team. USA, needs an urgent renewal.
Honestly, why didn't they bring the former coach from Russia. He's an innovator. He made Canada evolve in 4 years what the USA didn't evolve in 3 Olympic cycles😢😢😢😢😢😢

Even if their major focus is on the Olympics, competing with other coutries would be the best practice. Maybe at least some of the Olympic players should have joined the first round, rather than just practicing only among themselves. Then the ranking would have been different, their pressure being less and they'd have got the feeling of what it's like to compete in big international matches.
Resting is very important but it seems like the team strategies of giving these Olympic players a LOT of rest was too much😢
Hope the players don't get emotional in anyway and be themselves. Just wishing their competitiveness come back in the 3rd round🙏🙏
Interesting team Canada. Always had interesting players, but I think only now many of them have the experience to have joined important clubs leagues as the Italian club league like Maar, Loeppky and Szwarc

If you watch the game, you notice the US team are not organized well as they should be. They are really good, but they need to step up their defense and offense. They need good diggers. The opposing team is spacing them, but they cannot not manage to pick them ball up.

USA should start thinking to replace JOHN SPERAW. In the past few years USA is not performing well. Even in the Tokyo Olympics I thought USA replace John Speraw but he is still around and USA has no podium since RIO Olympics
Fr I think he's messing them up big time. He makes too many changes during the game and he picked players for the roster because of their serves who really arent even great servers :/ Too many things that might've worked at the college level but against better players won't get them wins.
Yeah and it's time for USA to change coach I mean it's been awhile since they finished in a podium to many disappointed matches. The way USA is playing I won't even see them making the Semis in Paris Olympics

The truth is that he must be replaced urgently after Paris. The former technician from France could be a good name.
