Well done, Matt! I sense a stronger buzz around the Mizuno, for whatever that's worth. Lately I find myself choosing the lower, simpler shoes from my pool and the Skyward X seems like a lot more stuff than I really need to run so I'd lean towards the Neo Vista, though even that might be too much. The significantly lower price also works in its favor.
I knew I’d love the Hoka. And I do. I wasn’t sure about the Neo. But I do love it! The cushion and spring does go to the Skyward imho. I think you are spot on about both of them except I personally prefer the overall Hoka look. That said, I still love the Neo blue! Two very close shoes! I don’t think you could go wrong either way!
Both over 300 gramms 😮 maybe prefer SB 2 but Mizuno Neo Vista looks more versaitle
Hoka Mach 6 & Mizuno Neo Vista look to be a good 2 shoe lineup
Both seem like good shoes and kudos to Mizuno for keeping theirs within the $160-$180 range for plated trainers. I'm thinking about that one. At $225, I'm asking Skyward X vs. Endorphin Pro 4.
agree but for Endorphin pro will drop in price in about 6 months.
I suppose if you put a gun to my head and forced me to choose, I'd go with the lighter of the two bricks. Thx, Matt.
Thanks for the review, very interesting comparison.
I’m already putting in the miles on the Skyward X, and as satisfied as I am I can’t help but feel the Mizuno might have been the way to go.
mizuno is great!
@@NicoI I’ve ordered some
neo vista is my pick
Some of the other reviews of the Neo Vista mention that it is very easy to pick up the pace in and say that it is a legitimate rival to the Superblast. As much as I like the Skyward X, this is more of a LSR, leg saver for me, and I won't be doing any tempo runs in it. I suspect the Neo Vista will end up being the more versatile of the two Supershoes. Some have said you could even run a fast Marathon in it.
foam = mizuno...plate = hoka
do we know what the Neo Vista's foam is in terms of material? Supercritical EVA, TPU, Peba?
Supercritical EVA
Hello😊 is hoka skyward x for outdoor Walking? is it shoes to wear all day?
I have them, and I'd say no. While they're very comfortable, the stack height might make it a bit unnatural for walk around use. Plus, it's got a plate in it. I'd look more towards something like the Asics Nimbus or the New Balance 1080v13.
