Come up and F me…..brilliant. This song was my stepdads karaoke song. He passed away in 2009 at 39 years old to cancer. He introduced me to playing guitar and this video has brought me a lot of happiness learning it in his name. Thank you Justin

Thanks for this. Jim Cregen said in an interview with Uncut Magazine that he played 3 or 4 different solos and left it to Steve Harley to pick one. Steve liked bits from all of them, so he cut and pasted those bits and stuck them together to make the finished solo heard on the song. Cregen then had to learn the solo so he could do it live. He said, because the way the different parts were edited together, it made it quite tricky to play. The drum beats on the last six? notes of the intro were directly copied from the Yes song, 'And you and I'

My dad loved this song so much. He always played and sang it when he put my brother and me in the bathtub. Thank you dad for learning me to play the guitar. Thanks for being the best dad. I miss you and I love you.
Thanks Justin for this lesson. I will learn to play this song and practice while my kids are taking a bath.

Steve Harley wrote this song when all the band apart from drummer left him cause there wanted to co write. And Harley contract was 4 them not to write songs so left him. He had last laugh it went to number. 1. And its a classic !!!!

You've done it all, you've broken every code
And pulled the rebel to the floor
You spoilt the game, no matter what you say
For only metal, what a bore!
    Blue eyes, blue eyes
How come you tell so many lies?
Come up and see me, make me smile
Or do what you want, running wild
There's nothing left, all gone and run away
Maybe you'll tarry for a while
It's just a test, a game for us to play
Win or lose, it's hard to smile
    Resist, resist
It's from yourself, you have to hide, oh
Come up and see me to make me smile, oh
Or do what you want, running wild
There ain't no more, you've taken everything
From my belief in Mother Earth
Can you ignore my faith in everything
'Cause I know what faith is and what it's worth
    Away, away
And don't say maybe you'll try
To come up and see me to make me smile
Or do what you want just running wild
Come up and see me, make me smile
Or do what you want, running wild
    Come up and see me
