ACTUALLY Nega-scott has a different origin in each medium, In the books he represents Scott's past but in the game he is Scott's evil twin and I don't know anything about the version from the movie except he's a pretty cool guy.
@Finkster5 and yet, with the movie, they made it seem that nothing was left out. Though a few things were, nothing important. I read the book after watching the movie, I got the game about a week ago, and beat it already, maxed out level 16 scott. This is the best couch game in a long time.
@Xplict911 i was like no shit man its ur dark side :3 wonder if other game characters have that sometimes these other dark side like characters are funny like hell or really badass like ichigo/hollow ichigo or sakura/inner sakura :3
@Finkster5 I have to agree with ya there. First time in human history a franchise wasn't destroyed by new creators trying to score a quick buck. The Graphic Novel, The Game and The Movie are all class A winners! That never happens! I mean they are all worth the money and time. Think if you buy most games or animes or books there will be a knockoff version somewhere and it'll piss you off but for the first time all the versions of something ROCK! How long till they ruin it I wonder...
@Hinoki511 actually the whole idea of Nega-Scott is a spoof of many things. First of all, just taking the name into consideration, it's a spoof of Negaduck from the Darkwing Duck cartoon. Darkwing's evil double from another dimension. That's the first thing I noticed. Next, yeah, you could say it's a tribute to Double Dragon II's boss, or maybe even the shadow clone boss Link has to face in Zelda 2. Scott Pilgrim has SO MANY tributes to old school fun stuff, and that's why I like it so much!
Every aspect of Scott Pilgrim; to the books to the movie to the game, were all crafted with love and care, and all have something unique to offer. This makes it one of the rare franchises (there's not anything neccesarily wrong with being a franchise) with lasting value. The books are witty-with some surprisingly strong writing that puts them in a league of their own, while the movie and the game are packed with creativity: the movie managed to condense 6 novels into one 1 hour and 50 min movie
@kite10397 i went to the bookstore to read the books the day after i saw this movie. i am glad i made this choice. the movie is phenomonal, but the books are a little better. i recommend seeing the movie first, then checking out the books so you can compare the two. by the way, for the most part the movie does a good job adapting the volumes to the big screen, but they got really lazy with volume 5. i am just saying.
I love this boss theme. It actually reminds me a bit of Kick-Ass for some reason. But then it goes to the sweeter sounding part of the song, and returns to being what Scott Pilgrim should sound like, then it swiftly switches back to kick ass. Damn. I'm definitely going to be listening to this for an hour straight.
@XadioEXE Aye, its like. Dude, you can beat the shit outta me, but try beating up yourself. I was like "Where the fuck did he come from?!" But if you watch the extras from the Blu-Ray they actually filmed two other scenes featuring Negascott. If they put those in the movie it would have made a lot more sense.
@ShadowLinkMirror Well, Scott also teleports out of levels when he beats them like Megaman does, and there has been a Shadow Megaman too. And a Shadow Mario, Dark Samus... Hell, the name "Nega Scott" PROBABLY refers to Darkwing Duck's counterpart Negaduck (and why not, there's already a song in there called Launchpad Mcquack!).
relatively well, plus it has some of the best cinemotography I've ever seen and the style that Edgar Wright is known for (by the way, if it weren't for his name in the movie I probably would've never touched the books). The game on the other hand is pretty short, but has quite a bit of replayability and is 10x as fun when played with friends.
@ShunichiDomoto hahaha! awesome! good to see another Darkwing Duck fan! The "Disney Afternoon" cartoons were the bomb! The might have had the shadow clone from Zelda in mind, mostly, but when they named him "Nega" it's pretty obvious where that part came from.
@TheTrueAveryck This is what I said. I just said it wrongly so that it sounded like I meant the game was based off the movie. In the game, you fight Nega Scott, movie, he doesn't. Simple as that and easy to prove.
I just barely beat this guy, I was on my final life with next to none health, my friend died earlier in the fight. So all I kept doing was pressing the Counter button, and skillfully I pulled it off with 6 Health Points left! :3
@SethKeidashi if they made another movie they could have fit all that stuff about the glow in and some evil exes (katayanagi twins epecilally) sould have had more time dedicated to them. the movie still rules anyway
@kite10397 I'd recommend reading the comics first, but from what I hear the movie is fairly faithful to the books anyway (Besides skimping on some details as most of these kinds of movies do), so do whatever the heck you want.
@punksaske93 The idea of having the dark sides of ones character getting a mind of their own has been used far too often. Practically it's a reference to a shitload of games, movies and other stuff...
ACTUALLY Negascott represents the dark times of his past, his forgotten asshole-moments and stuff. In the comic they ultimately become one when Scott accepts those asshole moments. Or something like that.
@asdflolist bum off of your friend (or cousin, like I did) and tell them how awesome it is and then get them to download it on their xbox/ps3 and then play it at their house.
@Finkster5 well, yes, the movie does what you say it does, but don't they make the other 4 books seem rushed in the movie (it mostly represents the first two books...)
@kite10397 Elitists will tell you to read the books first. I say who the hell cares? See the movie first, and if it really piques your interest, read the comics. :)
I got that shirt and somehow that shirt always gets me a girl i really like but then that girl ends up throwing me away for a guy i never met who is a vegan ahole

Link is dead.
@DaGrox94 HOW DARE YOU SUGGEST UA-cam ADD A USEFUL TOOL TO IT'S WEBSITE.
Seriously, that's really inconsiderate of you.
Negative jokes?
ok. Negative Trainstorm makes makes HWM model videos and doesn't play this game way too much :O
"hes a real nice guy me and him are getting brunch later on turns out we have alot in common" ahaha
@Xplict911 i was like no shit man its ur dark side :3 wonder if other game characters have that sometimes these other dark side like characters are funny like hell or really badass like ichigo/hollow ichigo or sakura/inner sakura :3
@mustymuf same as ryu dawg! XD hadouken and souryouken! my friend said that while we where facing him i laughed so hard we ended up getting owned
@Finkster5 at least the movie didn't fail like the last airbender which can't contain 1 damn book.

it is funny how he fights nega scott in the game and the comic but not in the movie

I like how it sounds a little like the title screen song at places, sweetness

@DMsStuff dude how many games have an evil main character? I thing it's more of a joke/reference on the idea itself and how over-done it is.
@kite10397 Well it seems that each form of SP is preffered by different people, so it's really up to you :D I personally would see the film first.
Listening to this in the pitch-black of night with fireworks going off was one of the greatest experiences I shall ever have in my life.
@blackblur589
Especially when they made a real-time movie based solely on the comics and then the game was based off of that 9_9
Nega Scott, I don't care how angry you are over getting whooped. Be appreciative of your freaking theme song and like it.
@LordMoonshadowGaGa always thought it sounded like another song in the game..could never figure out which one though

@MetalHeadbanger7 No, you unlock Negascott when you beat it with the four main characters.
@docdoom187 lol awesome idea...i might just do that (scratches chin in evil/thinking way)
@ShadowLinkMirror I only watched the movie and that's the first thing that I thought of.
@supershadow125 actually in case you didnt notice he even uses adon's knee charge attack
Watching Nega Scott do his victory hump while listening to this is HIGHLY entertaining.
