When I started watching this series on a whim a few months ago, I never expected to make it through even one episode, let alone a hundred... I thought it would be boring. Nope, first few funny lines from Lucius and I was hooked line and sinker. With each episode, I appreciate everything about it more and more - Mark's amazing DM skills and sound effects, Trott's ads and shenanigans, each characters uniqueness, the depth of the world, even the little inside jokes. You guys made me laugh out loud at work and even tear up at some of the emotional moments. I love it all, thank you so much for doing this. Now it's time to catch up on everything else HR while waiting for new episodes ^^

Parable of Kallus Valkorian (Example story explaining how Kallus became the way he is) Long ago, an ancient monster roams seeking nothing but to consume all life and matter and as a result, be destroyed and be nothing as well as making more monsters from the things it consumed. Eventually, a warrior has risen to the challenge of this monster. Stopping it from its path of destruction and nothingness and possibly destroying this thing. The brave warrior ventured but not alone for other warriors rallied to his cause. It was a brutal endeavor but as time passed the warrior developed tactics and became vicious as well as brutal in order to survive and keep fighting this monster. Finally, the warrior was able to defeat the monster not kill it for the monster has retreated and only the warrior has survived and all his comrades have died except for the warrior. When he returned scarred from battle to the people he protected, he was celebrated as a king glorified as well as prompted by the people and the warrior accepted. He then constructs castle walls to provide protection to the people and imposed curfews and recruited other warriors to enforce these restrictive laws to protect the people from the monster. It’s not long before the people voice their concern about feeling imprisoned so the warrior reminded them of his scars and struggle against the monster and how these restrictions are for their own safety. To ensure the people feel good about these restrictions he gave the people wealth and other forms of riches so they feel prosperous while being restricted but because of that he invoked the peoples’ greed and they attempted to rebel because of their greed they now desire freedom but their rebellion failed for their skills could not match the skills of one who pushed the monster back to retreat. As a result, the warrior saw that these greedy people he invoked were similar to the monster’s so he became more tyrannical and gave riches to those who were devoutly loyal as well as sharing similar noble goals to the warrior’s crusade against the monster. Then once again he claims he is only acting for their interests and everything is necessary for their well-being. The rebels have no chance against this warrior for they do not share the same battle experience as the warrior for the rebels only have a chance if they are able to persuade one of the warrior’s followers in the inner circle and convince that follower to their rebellious cause for the followers in the warrior’s inner circle share similar battle experiences with the monster. I thought of that quote too just the other day. Kallus, for all the good he thinks he's doing, is almost as much as a monster as the monster he's fighting. Why fight the monster if you're just going to hurt everyone anyway? He really has to take an honest look at himself and see that he can't do it alone, and that the universe can't just rely on him.
So last episode Quill finally asked the question I've been hoping for. That was my suspicion that Star Bane was wrong, I didn't know how wrong, but I thought if Hadar consumes everything why would the world engine somehow be too much? I wish they had asked this earlier so they could spread the truth that Star Bane is wrong. I also wish he would use the eye to ask how to defeat Hadar. It is probably awful like Siaska or Vala having to sacrifice themselves. I could sort of understand the idea of joining Star Bane if it would work, but to crack open a planet destroy or relocate millions and then it will lead to empowering Hadar to actually escape and consume the multiverse seems like a good reason to fight. Edited due to autocorrect mistakes.
Holy shit, I just thought of something, and even thought I know no-one will read this I do feel I have to share it. The attack on the Tassadar should be the only attack they need to make to finish this war, as they have Valla, Strabane's doughtier, and if the empire works like most, she is the heir to the throne. There goal should not be to defend Aerois but rather form a coup d'etat on the Valkyrian empire, making Valla the emprises.
This is the first video I've seen in a while that has no dislikes. I really hope I didn't just jinx it... On another note, finally some combat. I've been looking forward to some butt-kicking action from the team. I do wonder what happened to the foresight with the eye saying there won't be an attack by the Valkyrian Empire during the meetings since up until now if the eye wasn't certain it would always show diverging paths instead of the most likely one.
To be fair, I've seen people try to debate that effects caused or summoned by spells (hail from Ice Storm, meteors from Meteor Swarm, etc.) isn't actually magical because the spell isn't doing the damage, the thing summoned by the spell is. Those people are objectively wrong, of course. You use a weapon attack, it does weapon damage; you do a magic attack, it does magic damage. Simple as that.

It wasn't that he thought Quill would find a way to lie, it was that he could be truthfully telling something that itself isn't true. In other words if I told you "the sky is green", and you had never seen the sky before, then when asked about what color the sky is, "green" would be an allowable answer for you under the ZOT spell, because you believe it to be true. The spell doesn't determine the truth, it prevents people from knowingly speaking falsehoods. This was my immediate reaction when I heard the idea for the spell. Sure, all the people would believe that *Quill* believes Starbane's plan won't work, but that doesn't definitively *prove* that Starbane's plan won't work.

Do you think the background of Aerois is a sky city because the sky city was presently new in Mark's campaign or because he always knew Horizon would be important?
The sky cities were always pitched as the kind of flagship cities of Aerois, so I think all of them were supposed to be important for one reason or another across the campaign
Some points I would have liked to see brought up to Nova's parents: 1. Calus is a multi-planetary warmonger. He's ruthless, and he does not have your best interests at heart. He's using Vortinssar as a pawn to bully the rest of the planet into doing as he says. 2. You don't know what life is like on Genas. Why risk the safety and security of Aerois for a planet you've never stepped foot on, under a government you didn't elect, in an empire you don't belong to? 3. Aligning yourself with him means you're aligning yourself against Aerois. There's going to be war, that much is all but certain, except he's the side attacking our home and you voted for him. Can't you see that you've been played? I don't mean to backseat, and Nova's point that Calus wants them all dead was great. I didn't even think about the personal enmity.

15 months and some 50 episode late but: cast zot on qillek instantly as he falls asleep while nova has readied dream, quill is given full control of the dream and recreates the vision. Nova then wakes up with perfect memory, has zot cast on her, then she channels a major image of exactly what she saw onto a data crystal. Boom, perfect, and then ignored because local idiot callus is an idiot.
Man imagine how depressed the wolf pack would have got if aila just turn's up and one shops that mecha dragon because let's be honest aila and sentry are legit the only ppl would could one shot a dragon. Only thing is Hadar never retreated, siaska and other God's banished him. Starbane had nothing to do with that bit.

I suspect that it's because Quill specifically asked about attacks on Horizon, and this attack is at Gust Haven.

So Pyri was a bad guy then technically, if he was working for the Cypher Academy?
Do you think the background of Aerois is a sky city because the sky city was presently new in Mark's campaign or because he always knew Horizon would be important?
The sky cities were always pitched as the kind of flagship cities of Aerois, so I think all of them were supposed to be important for one reason or another across the campaign
The party started the campaign going to Horizon. I think it was meant to be their ~main hub~ of sorts, buuuuuuut stuff happened. As it does in dnd lol

Some points I would have liked to see brought up to Nova's parents:
1. Calus is a multi-planetary warmonger. He's ruthless, and he does not have your best interests at heart. He's using Vortinssar as a pawn to bully the rest of the planet into doing as he says.
2. You don't know what life is like on Genas. Why risk the safety and security of Aerois for a planet you've never stepped foot on, under a government you didn't elect, in an empire you don't belong to?
3. Aligning yourself with him means you're aligning yourself against Aerois. There's going to be war, that much is all but certain, except he's the side attacking our home and you voted for him. Can't you see that you've been played?
I don't mean to backseat, and Nova's point that Calus wants them all dead was great. I didn't even think about the personal enmity.

I want to see Aurora come back as a levelled fighter, and her and Nova have a cool sibling moment in melee
15 months and some 50 episode late but: cast zot on qillek instantly as he falls asleep while nova has readied dream, quill is given full control of the dream and recreates the vision. Nova then wakes up with perfect memory, has zot cast on her, then she channels a major image of exactly what she saw onto a data crystal. Boom, perfect, and then ignored because local idiot callus is an idiot.
