    I love these stories. I was a young man buying these records when they were first released. I had no idea about all that went into the production of them or who made them sound so great. I naively gave credit to the the vocal artist and 'their band'. I didn't have any idea the band touring with them rarely had any input into the recordings that made them famous. Thanks for giving them a place to receive the credit and honor they deserve.

    Joe I've been a just ok guitarist for 50 years and to hear that Hank Garland , Grady Martin and Chet in the same room makes me wanna be sick.. With Christmas coming it's always great to hear Mr. Garland on some of that Christmas stuff.. Thanks Joe.

    It's like a huge complex novel with lots of characters in it, and each video brings us two more pages.
    What a story!

    One thing I ‘feel’ listening to Harold…….he’s a first class gentleman. Those early days must have been magic. With recording equipment many musicians would scoff at today, he and the early guys sidestepped the technology and literally infused magic into the recordings.
    It’s a cliche to say, there will never be times like that….but there will never be times like that again!
    Joe, the series with Mr. Harold Bradley were just beautiful! Thanks again for your work!

      Hi David…. Yes I have been blessed with many things and knowing and calling so many of these talented people my friends is right there at the top of the list. That picture of Chet and me was at my first Nashville guitar shop on West End Ave. I gave him that parking spot at the very front step to make sure he always had a place to park. He often used it to go have a hamburger at his favorite place close to the guitar shop. I still have the parking sign. Thanks for watching… Joe

    Joe , did you ever have the opportunity to interview ( or chat with) Chet Atkins?

    • @MusiciansHallofFameMuseum
      @MusiciansHallofFameMuseum  2 роки тому +4

      Hi Cal…. Chet was my friend. He played on a flatbed truck in the driveway of my Murfressboro guitar shops grand opening which included James Burton and Kix Brooks. Yes Chet was the first person I asked to be on a tv show idea I had back in 1998 to promote my guitar shops…. Basically the same show as this promoting the museum and our inductees. Of course he agreed to do it but this was before UA-cam and it was too costly for me to put on cable television.,Chet was a great man along with his musical talent. I still regret not interviewing him without a deal to air it at the time. I wasn’t thinking clearly but the museum wasn’t even thought of at the time…… I didn’t have a video camera yet either……best, Joe
