    Yep, thanks for the comparison.
We started with a 1978? Scamp 13’ back in about 2010.
Camped all over America in it for about four years. It was a blast, but we wanted more room.
In 2014 we bought a new Keystone 23rb 23’ travel trailer, with a slide-out section. It was pretty dreamy to camp in, but a real chore to haul around and park.
We sold it last year, and bought a new Casita. We live just about fifty miles from the Casita factory. The Casita is certainly a lot easier to tow and set up.
We’re getting used to the smaller space.
I’d buy a Scamp 19’ for sure, but it would prevent us from bringing the motorcycle with us in the bed of the truck.
There are always trade-offs and compromises.
    Happy Camping!

I agree with you as the Casita just looks better.

I started my Travel Trailer search looking at Scamp and then moved onto Casita as they had better quality construction. I briefly checked out Oliver along the way but at $100k with no family friendly floor plans Oliver wasn't a good option for a family of 4. I'm headed up to BC Canada to check out Escape next. Escape seems like the best bang for you buck. What do you think about Escape Trailers?

Escape is a fantastic trailer, my only beef with them and Bigfoot (comparable products) is the wooden cabinetry and furniture. We were drawn to FGRV's because of their durability and ruggedness, especially when used on dirt and gravel roads. Wooden structures don't hold up well to those conditions which is why Casita, Cortes and Oliver are the only FGRV options suitable for us personally. That said, while Oliver makes the best FGRV (hands down, no contest), Escape provides the best bang for your buck in terms of overall design, function, resale, etc.

Refreshing. Very nicely done. Short, informative, and insightful.

Casita is at $26K base for a Deluxe model which is the majority of what they sell, the Deluxe can be optioned up to $35K now. Rumor has it they will be bringing back a 13' model soon. I too think that Casita has a better look and fit/finish and that's why we ordered and purchased a Casita Spirit Deluxe. Scamp makes a great trailer as well and they've made some big changes to their construction materials, designs and options in the past year which has really improved upon their product and overall brand. One should be happy to own either trailer.

Thank you for the comparison. Can you compare Oliver, Big Foot, and Escape in with the other two? (Pull behind comparison)

    I’m confused because Casita offers 13’, 16’, and 17’.

Casita no longer offers a 13’ or 16’. Both were dropped a few years ago. But many used ones of those sizes are available.

I like the Casita as far as tank sizes and the fact that the underbelly is fiberglass as well but I think the Scamp has better floor plans especially the 19 as far as counter space in the kitchen as well as some of their smaller models that have good counter space as well you can always work around the tank sizes by carrying a water bladder and getting a compost toilet, just my opinion

Fully loaded casita was quoted at $37k last year when I asked for one…… not $28….

That was the excess from the cost of materials. I was just quoted one for $30k
