I thought it was great. It might not have been lord of the rings.. but it was thoroughly enjoyable. I look forward to seeing it again when it’s officially released. Definitely worth the price of the ticket. And if you liked the old cartoon back in the 80s, keep your eyes out and you’ll see some fun cameos.
Saw Dungeons & Dragons early and loved the heck out of this movie! It was so funny and very epic. The perfect popcorn movie to watch with a big crowd. Can't wait to see this again with a full theater to hear how others take to it. 👍
conan actually is a playable character my figher/thief/gamma world mutant hired him in campaign and he was 1 of my genarals in a war across time and the multiverse ..great times also killed a tarrasque and made armor from his hide
I hope this becomes a gigantic franchise, and that we eventually get to see a Drizzt Do'Urden spinoff from it. Let an audience see just how terrifying the Underdark is, and the Drow, and Lloth. She would EASILY beat the Alien Queen in terrifyingness if they did it right; she's a goddess!
I only have ONE question: is there SWJ/Far Left shit in it? That is my ONLY deal-breaker. Edit: Thanks to everyone who replied. Glad I can go see and enjoy it!
I saw it on Sunday, March 19th. I'm always on the lookout for that junk as well. I can happily say that it has a diverse cast but it is not woke and does not promote any kind of SJW message. Top Gun: Maverick and Guardians of the Galaxy have the same kind of cast and they also did not come with any "messaging". This movie is fun & fresh...you should go see it.
I'm a lifelong Conservative and Republican Delegate in the "Socialist State of Minnesota", the State that holds the record for going for one political party in the Presidential election longer than any other in the history of the nation. We've gone Democrat since Richard Nixon's famous landslide victory in 1972! I get the whole "problem with far-Left BS" that Hollywood has been suffering from since the turn of the Century. I'm also a D&D player going back to Christmas of 1982, when my cousin introduced all of us to the game at our big family gathering in South Dakota, and then he sent me the Red Box for my birthday the following April, when I turned 12. I was looking hard for it in this film. The ONLY thing I found that could even REMOTELY be called "agenda driven" was the obligatory "white & black" couple, which I wouldn't even classify as "Left" in case (and despite the way the trope is used to pander doesn't bother me in the slightest), as there are ACTUAL "mixed race couples" all over the place in D&D - producing half-elves, half-orcs, and various other "mixed race" offspring. As a player that enjoys playing the Bard character class, I've been in real parties that felt exactly like this one. The only problem I had with the film was NOT seeing "Captain Kirk" and "Trudy from Avatar" up on the screen. That was my fault though, and it didn't ruin anything for me in the end. Overall I'd give it a solid 7.5. For gamers, I'd give it an easy 9.0.

Much better than the other three D&D films. It has good acting, good plot and just the right amount of humour.
That is, admittedly, a low bar. :-)
