I love this figure. I have Bluegrass, Steelwill, and Quicksilver - this one is easily the best for me. I am biased - it's also my favorite character of the cast. I can deal with the non-chrome paint, but would have liked a bit more of the pearlescent effect, but good overall. I would definitely be in on a toy-version repaint set of they go that route. Looking at wave 1 versus these wave 2 figures, there are some obvious improvements here. Wasn't a big fan of Quicksilver. I'm hoping future 'hawks will continue to improve.

They look great ! Super7 is obviously going to give us a "toy" version. They know if they gave us the "toy" version first, not that many people would buy the animation version. They're gonna get as much use as they can out of the mold. I'm fine with the animated version and I'll buy the "toy" version when it comes out.

Sgt. Slaughter has a broken "Steam-O-Matic" steam cabinet so he calls upon our favorite plumbers to fix it. Also guest-starring Joseph Griffo as mini Mario.
Lines I'd Love Super 7 Ultimate do off the top of my head, are Gargoyles, (but cartoon accurate unlike Neca's that is more like if Live action), Swat Kats, Biker Mice From Mars, M.A.S.K., Centurions.

I most certainly agree with you that it was a good call that Super7 didn't go for the vac-chromed finish the vintage figures have (notorious for chipping off, as you noted), but at least they could have gone for a paint that featured a bit of metallic sheen.

How did you get him to look that blue?
The plastic used on the limbs is to hard. Joints are gonna get loose real fast.
The loose joints and the lack of shading in the face paint is really disappointing. I have been a big supporter of Super7, however, after so many years I'm pretty tired of the QC issues. These are PREMIUM figures, but loose joints and so so paint jobs are not premium quality. I would prefer less accessories if it meant these issues were taken care of.
Same thing with your Lion-o..the hair is NOT more shinier...it's just shinier.
