- Stocker SZN isn't exactly my favorite season. They dump a bunch of small braindead pellet fed fish into a lake, and most of the time they are pretty easy to catch. I usually do that, and use those fish as bait, but.. I decided to make a longer drive. This pond gets stocked by a very wealthy fella with some FREAK SHOW Donaldson rainbow trout guys.. They are much larger, way meaner, and harder to catch. Let's get em. PAAA POWWW!!!

It's pretty sweet that guy does that for us fisherman. I live by a ton of lakes but can only access a few, that I hit hard! You do a great job of finding spots that's for sure! Stache life!
I live in southwestern Ontario and deep lake trout are delicious, not like walleye but still very palatable. Love your videos!
I have a no-name trout spinner that catches me the most trout. I didn’t even buy it. I found it and it always produces. I don’t mind if you do sponsored ads, especially as long as it’s a product you believe in. It never hurts to make a little money.

I actually just purchased over 300 bass lures and spinners from wish and they absolutely slay fish. Lots of top water lures to choose from and the spinners have amazing action

We have stocked trout ponds(3 by each other) here in Southern Minnesota which are not nearly as big as that one. What most of use are crappie minnows & wax worms..that’s it! One day there are biting great on crappie minnows & the next it’s wax worms, so you HAVE GOTTA bring both;)! They’re all rainbow trout if you’re wondering. There’s even some pike & tiger musky in 1-2 of the 3 ponds(they’re pretty deep) & it’s a sight watching one scarf down a keeper trout thinking it’s gonna choke lol! Great video, keep ‘em coming;)!
I have fished for trout for over 40 years, never used corn... corn won't catch trout here, but I fish in NZ. We fly fish and sight fish mostly. Unless its lake fishing from a boat. All flies, lures and crank baits.

I always do better with the wind blowing towards me when trout fishing. Get yourself some power eggs in chartuse and sunset colors. They come in a jar and connected together. Make a simple slip rig using a quarter ounce egg weight. Put a bead on then tie on a swivel. I use #6 fly tippet line and a # 8 circle hook. I use two connected eggs hooked in the side with the point exposed. Pull hook almost all the way threw the first egg. My leader is about 24 to 36 inches long. Hope this helps. I hardly catch anything but trout fishing with this set up. Tight lines and happy fishing ~ Chris

Not that it matters but soo hyped. Commented a while back about trout. Had a super dry summer in PA but around this same time of year some of these tiny creeks have held some pretty good fish

Hey Josh out here in Wa. Most of our lakes have trout try some Berkeley power bait they have one type called turbo I like the rainbow color I also put a power egg on the hook first i use a # 6 octopus style Gamakatsu hook I like red hooks put the hook on a pice of 3#or4# green madams leader use the green line it disappears in any color of water tie on a good barrel swivel to the other end of leader. On your main line put on a sliding egg sinker 1/2. Oz or bigger if long casting a small plastic bead big enough to not go inside hole in sinker it’s to protect your knot from sinker on casting now tie main line to swivel on leaders I use 4# green mono maxima,ande, or trilean put power egg on first pull it over eye of hook onto line make a ball of power bait the size of a peanut M&M use to cover hook now slide power egg down to hook eye cast out take up slack get ready for a fish if any one is catching fish you will
That first trout was a perfect eater. Might check it out next week when it warms up a little.
What a nice spot...here in NZ we get 30 lb Rainbows & Browns in the canals living below the Salmon farms..massive fish..
I always have the best luck on newly stocked lunker trout with a 1/16 oz. Black/w silver blade rooster tail. Also, I do great with chartreuse Powerbait on a slip sinker about 18" above the hook. Good luck!

baiting for catch and release trout use barbless, get a "stick" hook disgorger should be able to remove the hook without too much distress for deeper hooked fish, and you honestly wont loose more fish played right using barbless hooks

Go back with a medium like rode with 4 lb line and through croppy jig. Straight fire. You can’t that far out, but you will be very surprised how close they are from the bank.
The biggest rainbow I ever caught was 8 to 10 lbs.

Josh you shoulda tried drop shotting the corn. Bounce it around for a minute then re cast. Won't swallow the hook with the rod in your hand plus keeps the corn off the bottom

Throw a spinner bait. Trout usually hit moving bait. Even a crawler on a jig or unweighted hook.
Try little orange kastmasters. Those fish look like a small Michigan steelhead and steelhead love orange. Orange/gold ko wobblers as well.
We had a one cylinder Gibson tractor when I was a kid, and it ran just fine!
