This may be an unpopular opinion but I love that you catch and release and don’t do a catch and cook every video. I’ve noticed some UA-camrs saying they’re not catching the sizeable fish they use too .. probably because they’re cooking them up 2-3 times a week. Keep up the good content my Dude. It’s been a weird year for me in Iowa Flathead fishing. Didn’t catch hardly anything all summer but smashed a 52 pounder on the Iowa River on 9/13. Now that it cooled down, I’m gonna be out throwing jigs for smallies and walters, but glad to see someone else catching some late season tanks, congrats!

Few years back I caught a 47" flathead with a 30" inch girth. It very quickly bottomed out our 50 pound scale while lifting it. Yours was easily that big around too. Great fish! And the grass carp on the jerkbait was insane. And he'll I was super stoked for the back to back old ass drum bud. Great video stachman!

In WI we don't have all the spots like you.We have the tourist trap stuff but I prefer your fishing spots. I'm totally a fan. Use your rod to measure fish if you forget a tape. Nice fish
Great video once again.ive caught some carp in bensalem pa.neshaminy falls.we would sit there and burn in the sun sometimes 13 hrs a day.the few carp we caught were well over 20 lb and bit fresh corn off the cob..this time of the year im goin into cornfields gettin corn about 15 rows in. We went to the river for flatheads.my dad was good at catchon flatheads

It was a 50 for sure. If it was 47 inches and healthy looking like that. That head and upper body are both enormous.
Easily, conversion chart has it more towards the 55 lb range so I'd say 50 is an easy guesstimate

Definitely 50+ I caught a 52 pound flathead 3 years ago and it was 42 inches in length
