Though around seven years since the style’s last release, the Jumpman is not yet ready to give us a Retro of the Air Jordan 1 “Black Toe.” Instead, they’re providing us with the next best thing: an Air Jordan 1 Low OG clad in the very same colorway. Rumors of the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Black Toe” first surfaced back in 2022, with leaked imagery confirming the release shortly after. Now, with the official launch only a few weeks away, retailers have shared an even better, more detailed glimpse at the upcoming colorway. Fans of the original “Black Toe” should feel more than at home here, as the color blocking has been well-translated to the Peter Moore-designed sneaker’s low-top trim. The all-leather upper alternates between the very same tones - black outfits the Swoosh, toe cap, and eye stays; red highlights much of the heel; and white neutrals are brushed along the underlying base. What’s more, the sole unit and branding are done up in the same fashion as its time-honored predecessor. via SN

I love having the black tongue. The sneaker MJ wore at the photo of the Jumpman logo was a sample black toe with a blach tongue, thats why i apprechiate them so much.
I had to go back to the video that’s actually pretty dope. It made me appreciate these black toe Lows more had no idea in the photo mj pair has a black tongue

The thing that made me love the black toe lows enough to cop them for the toe was how it reminds of my old loves from the new/old love Jordan 1 mid two pack from back in the day. I was driven by nostalgia from the color blocking, and even the black tongue & red laces were reminiscent of the old loves
My problem is, no big swoosh. I would have gotten 3 pairs. But I did cop 2 pairs
Got 2 of these, and already put white laces on the one I’m using. Thinking about coloring the tongue white too, but not in a hurry to do that. I also wish they didn’t do the matte red, but I’m not mad at it. I had the retro low from a few years ago, and I’m just glad this colorway finally came out in the OG cut.
The 4:34 red leather is more of a matte finish just like the Mystic Navy’s.

Honestly prefer the black tongue, to my knowledge closer to the actual OG high PE MJ wore before they added the wings logo, and I like the contrast!

I wasn’t gonna grab the black toe lows but I saw them at sp sitting and I was like they’re too nice not too add to my collection and they’re sitting so I grabbed them and I’ve been wearing them ever since they’re mad comfty and clean I’m glad people sleeping .

I loved the new video dj I truly enjoyed it bro , to be honest I know I don’t have the air Jordan 1s low og black toe yet in my collection but I would definitely cop’em cuz I loved the color-way pretty much u can wear it with anything and plus air Jordan 1s are one of my favorite’s Jordan weather is high or mid or even low I still will cop’em and rock them .
My homeboy customized his black toe lows by putting the Angelis Matte Finisher on it. They look DOPE. I agree, the white tongue with the white tag and black text would have been better as well as the OG swoosh.
I'd love to have a pair, but sadly, the resellers scooped em up and I'm not paying over retail for some low top shoes.

I’m not gonna lie, I’m late to the 1 low OG party. 1 highs and mids fit me so bad I kinda just stopped checking for any 1s. Then I won a pair of TS lows and they fit great so I’ve been trying to stock up on 1 low OGs because they actually fit me good and are so easy to style.

Yooo DJ! Great content as always. I doubled up on the mystic navy as well. Such a great sneaker and going for under retail I guess it’s good people are sleeping on them. The lows look so good with jeans. The black toe are so dope and I agree will go up in value. I think the black tongue looks better than white, OG or not. Only issue with my mystic is one pair was bad QC but those I will rock 1st then keep the better ones for later. I feel the mystic navy goes with more of my fits.

Yeah the black toes are definitely in my sneaker of the year contender and my dark powder blue is one of the ones that I've been wearing heavily lately especially through the summer but the Mystic Navy, Starfish,Bleached Coral and the neutral gray are ones that I've been wearing a lot also... I had the Chicago's, Shadows and the Royal Blues I bought them from a sneaker store that was going out of business in like 2016 and I got them all for like super cheap I think I paid like $100 a piece for them and I held onto them for like a year or so and got rid of them and then the price just blew up on all of them...I would say its one of my biggest sneaker regrets of all time

When they started releasing those Jordan 1 lows not in the OG cut the ones with the Jumpman on the tongue I was picking up every colorway cuz retail was only 90 bucks and as of right now I have 2 deadstock pairs of the black toes 2 deadstock pairs of the shattered backboards and 2 deadstock pairs of the shadows and all of them are between 250 and 350 dollars buy people dont really like that version but I have a pair of each that I wear on the the regular

I got the Satin Black toes a week before the Black toe Lows released. So I passed. But I plan on dubbing back at some point. I see a restock coming soon.

I saw these in-store for exactly one day, and the quality was really nice on them. Ultimately passed on them though, because if I'm looking for a low top sneaker, there's other options out there that fit my style better, both within Nike and without.
I'm kind of hesitant to get j1 lows because I have dunk lows and they're similar enough sillhouettes to me, but I still do like them. I'm not a huge sneaker collector btw so that's just my opinion but I still do want a pair of 1 lows eventually.

I believe jb will reserve the og build of this color blocking, with 8 lace holes, slimmer toe box, white tongue, high quality leather and large og swoosh for the “85” low. They will make us pay a premium price and we definitely will. As for this current iteration, they’re good enough for me to triple up, and I will wear all three pairs, eventually. These are my #1 sneakers of the year and I don’t really care what else is releasing I’m good.
I’m new to the 1’s never been a fan my first pair was this yr & they was the wrong color but they looked good so I Kept them & ion see nobody with em they look so good on feet I had to grab these
For people who don’t know the mids height was consider highs back in 2000.
I am So Happy to have them in my collection. The leather is so soft on mine. I don’t care if they go up in value because I’m gonna beat them up.

I was kind of thinking that this sneaker wasn't going to go up in value even in a couple years cuz of how high the stock numbers were but if you think about it they released more lost and founds then they did this sneaker and that one's still holding steady around $400 so I could see this shoe in a couple years potentially being up over 300

That was a sample. The released pair had a white tongue. There’s multiple versions of every sneaker made.
