Thankyou to everyone involved esp Tom, this was fascinating. Is their another one coming?I think Corbins creative vision is necessary to fill the gaps in Perennialism .Whilst adherence to orthodox religion is the best course for humanity in a collective social/spiritual sense, we also need to make sense of what lies outside of it ie the value and place of heresey and Atheism., thats why i was particularly struck by the comments about mormonism The Quran does inform us that all things worship god knowingly or unknowingly and that his mercy covers everything and overrides his wrath. so if we start at this point we can try and locate things properly. I do have some reservations about Corbin in regard to Ibn arabi ,his approach is too feminine and to integrate the masculinity/virility of Sheikh Al Akbars Arab character and thus world vision.
Wonderful to hear you gained so much from our discussion! Within the next month we will be discussing Seyyed Hossein Nasr's work Knowledge and the Sacred with a scholar of Traditionalism, so based on your comment here it sounds that this would be of interest to you as well. Details TBD. :)
@@JaredMorningstar Look forward to it .It would also be interesting to discuss the role of imagination in Blakes ideology and how it compares to Corbin.
The feminine creative vision and spiritual vision is greatly needed for balance in all things given the imbalance of male dominance in defining religion ( women too;) So thank you thank you so much! ! It's good to know the feminine is fully present in Corbin's approach.
It's a pleasure to listen to Cheetham all the time.
Certainly! It was wonderful having this opportunity to dialogue with him.
Thanks Tom
You know corbin well, thanks for sharing with this channel

@@As-fs6qd Tom Cheetham has talked about Blake a number of times on his podcast As Variously As Possible-could be a good place to look for that!

I like seeing these young people sniffing around this.
I can’t stop looking at his black hair and white beard 😂 sorry. Great discussion by the way.
Yes, the obvious different shades are hard to ignore.
This is a personal grooming dilemma & aesthetic that I find odd.
