Great tip about wearing a logging helmet. For years I have been dodging sawdust and picking it out of my eyes while pruning pines. Tried wearing one today and I can say it made pruning a pleasure.
Thanks for this excellent demonstration. We acquired about a dozen Silky's a few years back, including a couple 4-section like the one shown here. The others are 3-section and quite a bit lighter. We have the majority of the crew go through and take the lower branches. I'm sure we've pruned over a thousand decent Minnesota White Pines up to a lush green top 27' off the ground. These are excellent saws. The Japanese know their steel. We were inspired to purchase these by the White Pine silviculture UA-cam video that Bob presented some years ago, which we've viewed over a hundred times by now I believe!

Would you recommend the 4 section/ 21ft or the 3 section /16ft weight wise? How does the weight feel after a while?
