Amazing that after 2 years Fimi still has "beta" on Smart Tracking in the app. It's not perfect, but yep, they put some work in. Ordered a standard battery X8 Mini a few hours ago. That thing is drawing down on the Mini 2.

I discovered the SAR zoom stays when you switch out of it completely by accident on Saturday, but thought nothing more about it. Leave it to you to use it intentionally to capture. That creative use of the tech is your touchstone. Thanks!
Note: Amazon has an Aluminum case, 2 spare 4500 mAh batteries and a 6 way intelligent charger, usually about $200. Best accessory set I ever bought for any drone. Love charging 4 batteries (full or storage charge) controller & phone with case to hold it all.

I have the 2018 the 2020 and am waiting for the mini. Fimi drones are amazing beasts, as long as you are not dependant on obsticle avoidance. By the way $4.00 buys you a good gimbal cover from Aliexpress.

Great video! Question - does the FIMI X8 have NFZs? In our last shoot our DJI drone failed to take off due to no -fly-zone FOR THE SECOND TIME. I'm looking for another drone now - and no more DJI.
FIMI doesn't have any restrictions 💪

Huh randomly recommended but interesting. It’s got me thinking because of wacky NYC laws, is this crime? Not mad about it though. Me and another guy actually used to rip fpv quads through the jump and the park in the early am during the off season when no one was around lol.
Interesting and informative. Also 100% illegal. Violated NYC local drone laws. Violated VFR 1000/3 minimums. Violated Line of Sight requirements. Violated max altitude 400 AGL requirement.
