    Sadly, only ANC is the news channel that nobody tries to stream live for free. Been looking for years, it's just not there. Kahit nga yung really really bad na yung resolution, you just can't find one. I wish ANC will be the first Filipino news channel to stream it's content 24hrs live and free in the internet. Bet that's not going to happen any time soon. Most channels are just in for ads money and not the true media service nowadays.

    this is good advice for everyone but he should have mentioned how much is the cost of these funds, bonds etc. it will matter tremendously in the long term. the Philippine government should also encourage saving/investment by passing legislation conducive to it. My question, why do you have to go through the banks to buy these equities and funds, why not buy it directly from the discount broker/financial company to lower the cost of investing.

  • @janix8090

    That depends on where you live. In the province 14k per month is just enough to live by comfortably, in the city 14k per month is impossible for a family of four to live comfortably.

    30K x 12months x 10 yrs = 3.6Million , Inflation per year is 2% to 5% . say 3.5% per year x 10 = 35% , 5M/3.6 = 1.38 Therefore, 3% lang kinita mo in 1 Decade. therefore is not good ohm. Talo ka pagganito Bangko lng kumita!
    My Opinion at least your salary must be 2.5 ( 30K ) = 75K/ month oh? ohps mahirap yata kumita ng ganyan kalaki salary sa Pinas. So difficult sa Pinoy eto. magano lang sweldo ng Pinoy sa Pinas!

    One thing these financial Gurus do not say is...Saving money is only for people who have money to save.It is not applicable to people who live on paycheck to paycheck. Another thing is they do not say that it is useless to save money in the bank. With so low interest rates, your money will lose value overtime because of tax and inflation.

    • @sheilatuano9633
      @sheilatuano9633 6 років тому +1

      Born2drinkstuff , there is a saying that says," it does not matter how much money you earn but rather how much money you save and invest". If one earns little income, the more important it is to budget money that also focuses on savings. Even just setting aside 10% monthly from one's earnings can mean a lot in the long run. Yes, I agree, those with higher income earnings have the advantage but the question is, did that high-earner took advantage of his/her situation? If he just spends without making any concrete goals as to his personal finance for his future and did not bother to save and invest or open a sustainable business and become a sophisticated investor that makes money for him with the right vehicle while still young, healthy, and able to work, eventually, he will one day regret he did not take advantage of his high income days.

      Yung deposit naman basta at least may 10k ka... kung gusto mo dadgdagan magdeposit ka basta may 10k dun. Meron mga ibang plan.. sa bdo.. pwede ka mag deposit 1k/month until mameet mo yung 10k.. Yung iba 5k lang, depende sa bank. Check mo bawat bank kung ano yung mga terms nila. :) Good luck. :)

    • @sheilatuano9633
      @sheilatuano9633 6 років тому +1

      Richard Buizon Oo, kailangan mag invest regularly ( monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or annual) sa mga portfolio funds like equities, bonds na magtugma sa iyong kakayahang "RISK PROFILE" na dapat mas malaki ang tubo kaysa inflation rate...pag naipondo mo lang lahat sa bank account mo, maliit lang talaga ang tubo, less than 1%... so sayang. Bakit kailangan mag invest regularly? Para maka "take advantage" ka sa up and down movement sa prices of shares ng stock market na kung minsan makapagbili ka ng mas mura ( down movement) na ibig sabihin mas marami ang shares mabibili mo. Dapat din mas mahaba ang iyong paghintay na panahon at least medium (5 years) to long term (10 years or more) na ipalago ang pera mo sa pamamagitan ng compound interest at cost averaging bago mo maisipan mag partially withdraw o totally withdraw (selling) sa shares of stocks mo.

      Aseret Tee that depends on you as an investor po. Are you aggressive (risk-taker) or conservative (more on protection) when it comes to investing? Well, investments aren't risk free dahil nakadepende sa market yun which is volatile - goes up and goes down po. Ayun, you may inquire to diffrrent institutions na may investment and ask from them. :)

    It was funny to hear the investment specialist suggest that the couple making 40K should invest 26K per month and live on the rest, for two working adults with 2 kids I would suggest that its just not possible if they have to pay their own expenses.

    • @sheilatuano9633
      @sheilatuano9633 6 років тому +1

      Grant Ewen Agree with you. Perhaps, the couple should find other ways to add to their present combined income of P40k through good business ventures if it is not possible to demand a salary increase...Or, they could apply the 70/30 rule at the moment while scouting or researching for a good business venture...that way, the couple have really started doing something to reach their future financial goal...30% savings, 70% expenses per month.

      ART Domingo jr., compounding interest could help. Try to find a vehicle that could earn you compounding-interest above the projected inflation rate of 4% to 6% per annum. For me, since I am too lazy to do individual company performance researches, I go for pooled funds managed by very good fund managers. I prefer equities funds for my long-term investments.

    I noticed that as with most shoppers in the world and the Philippines is no different, shoppers in the Philippines, want to feel good, now, today, and feel as if the future will never come, never improve, so they look around and think, this adobo lunch, which is 150 php, is good, and eat it, and once they eat, in 4 to 6 hours, what does it become? Poo...Don't not eat your money and make it become poo, because you can cook adobo at home, and maybe better...Stop trying to be like America, it is wrong...If America was so great, why are they moving to Vet Nam, Thailand, Philippines, Singapore? It is not for sex, it is a slower better way of life...SAVE INVEST AND GROW YOUR LIFE AND JOIN THE FUTURE IF NOT FOR YOU, YOUR KIDS

    Obviously this is about marketing BPI's products. That's fare. But his opening statement is a big 'BS' (sorry can't say the word). Using his very words, "if i were to ask someone who just graduated from college to set aside P100 a month ... keep doing that until he was 60 yrs, he'd have a million". Mark that: P1 MILLION.
    So say graduates at the age of around 23-25 yrs. Let's say he's a genius and graduates at age 20 yrs. Now to reach 60 yrs would be a 40 yrs span. Now assume that this guy immediately lands a job right off college and gets a job where he receives a total of 15 mos pay.
    Now calculate: P100 x 15 x 40 = P60,000. Even if this guy put aside P1,000, he would only have P600,000, and not P1M!

      Gerry B this video is about investments. I dont understand how you came up here but then your computation has noting to do with investment. You computed it without any interest rate which mention in the video. And it also says "100 per month" how there you saying the word 'BS'you dont even know the Math. watch, listen and understand the point before comments. Kust a friendly reminder bro. 👍

    • @xiancabatchete
      @xiancabatchete 6 років тому +1

      I agree with what Gerry has said. If you invest 100 pesos per month starting at age 20 and assuming a 10% annual return on your investment (which is the average return in stocks or cooperatives) and assuming that you reinvest the dividend you’ve received from the investment each year back to the capital (compounding effect) it will only give you 489,652.24 pesos after 40years (age 60) which is half of 1 mil. Believe me guys, i’m a numbers nerd and i know how to compute how much you will earn in x number of years given the amount you invest and the assumed interest rate through a simple excell formula.
