Thank you, Louise, for your informative and inspirational videos. I appreciate your generous presentations. You hold true to your expressed goals for all artists.
Such a wonderful video! ♥️
I love the challenge of portraits, I love the practice. Excellent video btw
Thank you so much 😀
Wonderful! I love the "failed" blind contour of Maggie Smith, I got who it was immediately.
Awww that makes me feel great. Cheers!
This is great, Louise! For a while I was interested in doing portraits of older women, but I let it go. I think you might have inspired me to get back to that idea. Thanks!❤
That's a great idea!
It is well worth the time and effort for sure Louise! Really interesting and admirable!!
Glad you think so!
Oh my gosh, I am laughing! Your drawings are great...it's your commentary that sounds like me and I laugh when I realize that all my mistakes are common! Thank you for being so genuine. And I loved the end result
Glad you enjoy it!
Brava, Louise! Stop being so hard on yourself - this is a fabulous portrait, as are the others, including your perceived shortcomings. You have given me a jolt of courage to give a stab at faces. I do get tired of painting purely expressionist abstracts.
Thank you so much :) But I honestly don't think I'm being hard on myself - I'm just being honest. I feel that's important - there's too much of people pretending all this is easy for them
Love this!
Aww thank you!
Excellent ❣️. Oh I love this. I will try this . This is what I want to do. Thank you 💕
You’re welcome 😊
Amazing video, very inspiring. Thank you for sharing

Very good likeness of him.
Thank you!
I just love your post. You inspire us all to be free in our creative expression and I know each of us are so thankful for that!!
You are so welcome!
Looks pretty good to me :)
It's not bad - but I will try to do better!
Thank you for your video very inspiring
You are so welcome!
The drawing is delightful thanks for sharing loose and free and I love your comments about the process and it is a process of practices
You are so welcome!
I used to love portraits....working on abstracts....this was justvperfect timing for me...thks Louise!!😊
You're so welcome!
Thanks for the video and your comments!! I am playing with faces at the moment and what you say about the lights / darks and how they affect the result is very helpful.
Glad I could help!
thanks for giving us a glimpse into your portrait practice. It encourages me to realize you also have to spend hours to get a likeness.
Oh for sure!
I love it! Faces are my favorite… I need lots and lots of practice though… thank you for the video ☺️
You are so welcome!
A grid over the photo would help get things in the right place and the right size. Do you not use that as it inhibits your creativity?
Very inspiring! Thank you Louise!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Funny how the drawing of Maggie Smith on the left page has so much more likeness than the right page !
It is funny how that happens, right? 😂
