Demo - Playing with Ink and Collage

  • I’ve just finished a major project using acrylic and mixed media. When I don’t have a specific project I’m working on but I still want to keep creating, I do something I love. Lately I’ve been enjoying ink and collage, so I’m putting the two together here.
In this demo I show you how I play and experiment with shapes, marks and textures. I explore what it is I’m doing and why. Sometimes bits of these collages find their way into my other artwork.
I am on a mission to help artists find their own unique voice and make exciting, original artwork that is truly unique. If this sounds exciting, join my weekly artist's newsletter at www.louisefletcherart.com/con...
Each week, I share tips, tricks, advice, and inspiration to help you take your art to the next level.

Hi. I’m an artist that’s been in the closet for so long because of the horrible things I’ve been through in my life. And I’ve just started to open up and be inspired. And then all of a sudden I’m taking care of my granddaughter that’s two years old. So I’ve turn to UA-cam and I found you. Today, the work you were doing inspired me so much! I asked my daughter recently if I could do some new art for her brand new apartment in downtown Houston. She wants black and white. Lol. Which to me as gray lol so, I am so grateful to you for your inspiration that you gave yourself for us and invited us to see because if I had not seen it I would not have been inspired to do this beautiful thing that came to me while I was watching your video. Peace and love to your family and to you especially.Thank you😊❤️

I hear you. My youngest was six months out of the nest and I found myself with full time custody of my three year old grandson. All that time of waiting to express what I'd been holding back artistically. He's nearly 12, and I'm just starting to see the light lol. UA-cam has been my saviour through the times of not being able to afford to experiment or having the time to do anything physically. I love Louise's channel! All the best for your journey both as a full-time grandparent and an artist. x

I just remembered i have this old, yellowed sheet music that was in the piano bench when i bought this used piano years ago.
I love the combo of black, grey, white and some yellowed page!
    Thanks for sparking that!

Loved this demo it’s one of my favorite ways to utilize all the paper I cover with marks, paint, ink and messes. I started after watching Lewis Noble , I’ve been a follower of his for quite awhile. The other thing I do to Paintings that I don’t really care about is take a 4x4 Matt and go over looking and framing out things I do like and saving them.
