Awesome Video. My gut tells me that your logic with stage 1 and stage 2 tunes probably applies to most vendors. Cobb, AA, most OTS flash tunes, etc.. Its all about the catless downpipe.

I'm surprised with how similar it sounds like a JZ car now. When I went from 93 to E85, my dyno line pretty much shifted up 60 hp and tq up without touching timing or boost. Of course it was a little lean before a touch up but it's amazing how much more power ethanol added right out of the gate with no change in anything else.

Question Mr. Thic, does your sports display also max out at 441 tq on stage 2 OTS? At least that was the highest number I saw doing highway pulls lol also I know that's more of a gimmick but I just wanted to see if it was consistent for each BM3 user cuz I saw that and was a little underwhelmed by the number

The same thing happened on my car when I went stage 1 to stage 2. My peak numbers did not go up much but the area under the curve was increased.

Logs? You were probably pulling timing on the Stage 2 runs, the BM3 stage 2 93/98ron maps always seem to be a bit too aggressive for the US gas... Would be curious to see if the numbers would change if you throw in an extra 1/2 gallons of E to increase the octane a bit (always seems to do the trick to smooth out the timing issues on the N55 maps)
do tell me more plz, I'm running n55 (EWG) FBO with MHD Stage 2 Plus 93 map and seems to pull timing for me too based on cylinder timing corrections. I thought it was due to the transmission 3rd and 6th gear hard coding, about to flash xHP transmission flash to remove the torque limits, you don't think that's the cause?

@@ATStone the zf8 auto transmission is fast, almost like dct, but once you do a stage 3 xhp transmission tune its crazy fast, I'd say as fast as dct, but more smooth.
Does Stage2 require the upgraded FMIC on the supra as well?
B58 uses heat exchanger, not FMIC. Not needed for tuning. Only need catless dp

They do not have a trans flash for the supra yet. When they release it, I will!

What gear was the car dyno’d 5th or 6th ? Apparently 6th gear on the ZF trans doesn’t have torque limiter.

It’s difficult to compare, this car is wildly different than an x3m. Suv to a hatch with a 97” wheelbase. X3m is fast, but doesn’t feel fast. This car is very exciting and engaging, you feel everything

B58 doesn’t have intercooler, we have heat exchangers. Only necessary upgrade for stage 2 on this car is Catless dp

The intercooler is incorporated in the intake manifold. It needs to be upgraded to stay safe when running big boost/turbo.

Stage 2+ is only for the N55 cars. B58 doesn't have it.
