@8683roy Just a few questions about your project, Is the radius an outside or inner radius? And how much length will you have going straight once you wrap the edgebanding past the radius?
It is the SpeedRoller ow.ly/zyHI30jxKgs (just so you know, we usually include all the products used in the video--plus a link--in the video description).
Speed tape is good when you can't find a preglued edge . However it's useful for 45 degree cut or some weird shapes scenarios. The main problem still remains how to clean the edge properly on a 45deg cut
I do about 20 panels a day with 45s. I use spray adhesive and just flush one side, then cut the pointed angle with a box cutter. Of course wearing cut proof gloves and sleeves for safety. Absolutely hate 1mm tape that our customers like. 1/4 and 1 inch inside and outside radius are terrible to cut. I score the back of the tape with a knife a few times, makes it easier to cut. If one has a steady hand it comes out clean.
Fastedge will work on exposed MDF, but there are additional steps needed to prep the surface before application. You need to apply a binder coat of 50% contact cement and 50% lacquer thinner with a roller and then let this binder coat stand for 10 minutes before applying the Fastedge. Fastedge does not work well with ABS panels. We do not recommend using our product for those panels. The adhesive will stick for a short time but will end up peeling eventually as these materials are not porous so there is nothing for the adhesive to bind to.

Tried it, it's too hard, even with the heat applied, the iron trick works but I'd makes ripple look cus it melts the shineeven with a shirt on. This is just my experience

Can you use this method of attachment around radius’s? If so what would be the minimum radius you could do it to?
@8683roy Just a few questions about your project, Is the radius an outside or inner radius? And how much length will you have going straight once you wrap the edgebanding past the radius?
So for 18mm sheet you recommend going with 1inch width or 3/4 inch. 3/4 will not have enough overhang. How much overhang is recommend.
That was an amazing explanation. Thanks a lot.
Your welcome!
Amazing..
Thank you!
Just asking where to buy the 3 kinds of tools that you used to cut and flattened the PVC edge. (not the iron and side cutter)
So sorry for the delay. Please check out our FastEdge Tool Kit. www.fastcap.com/product/fastedge-tool-kit

Ok, 👌
Actually it takes two times more motion to do the work (than using preglued banding with iron), so I dont really understand the "fast" label
I'm buying a coloured laminate that comes with edge trim without adhesive. So I need this tape or glue.
what was the tool you used at the very end to break the edge? Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the info. Is Speed Tape a permanent solution? How does it compare to pre-glued?
Absolutely it's permanent, but as always, you should test the application to make sure it works and is suitable for what you're doing. Paul
Hi will this work on exposed MDF edge and ABS edging?

@@FastCapLLC Do you have a video showing that process? Also, when you say MDF, would the application be the same for particleboard?
Where can I find it in Egypt please??

I would use a wood primer at the edge, then use PVC glue to attach the PVC edge band. Is that ok?
Es imposible cortar eso!!! necesitas maquina o hacerlo con cutter
hi sir, what trimmer do you use?
